The 100 Mile View Campground is located 3 miles from Jim Thorpe, the Lehigh Gorge State Park, Delaware, and Lehigh Heritage Trail, White Water Rafting, Steam Train Rides, Museums, Music Entertainment at Mauch Chunk Opera House, and Mauch Chunk Lake which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boating and fishing. You can get to all of these activities in 3 miles with no traffic by turning left out of our driveway and driving west on Flagstaff Road to Jim Thorpe. We offer hiking and mountain biking trails on our property and a variety of camping opportunities for parties with tents, campers, overlanders, and RVs. Our campsites are booked on ResNexus.com which does not charge additional booking fees for reservations made at our campground.

It is comprised of several parcels totaling 100's of acres that were purchased over the past 35 years. We have shared our property with hikers, bikers, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts since day one. Our campground started with only 6 campsites, but with great reviews, we continue growing and have recently received the approvals to become one of the premier camping and outdoor resort destinations in the Eastern United States. Our founder, Jake Arner, has a passion for the outdoors and for people who show respect for nature and for other people. Jake genuinely enjoys sharing his property with others. Rustic tent sites and log cabins on nearly 400 acres nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. The property has been in our family since the late 1800's, initially operating as an ochre mill.
We are near the historic town of Jim Thorpe, Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Hickory Run State Park, Lehigh Gorge State Park, Tuscarora State Park, and more.
***PLEASE READ BELOW AND READ EACH SITE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING***
- Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. We allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Please bring along potable water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available MID May- MID October. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups.
- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Otherwise, weekends are typically a two night minimum mid May through October. Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend are a three night minimum.**

Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation.
Each camp site has a small private firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season.
There is a wooded site, an open site for self contained campers and tent campers, the "lil log cabin" and a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate.
How about camping in a Vintage Camper! We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably.
Or, stay in 'little log cabin' our cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, extra cot and pack and play. (Sleeps 4).
There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver.
Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area.
Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters.
For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera.
For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants .
Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distileries and vineyards all within a short drive of Oak Grove Acres.

50-some years ago, the legendary Grampy David made his way to The Red Rock Rabbit Ranch. There he resides: a good-hearted curmudgeon, a handyman, a grumpy, Ywengling-drinking philosopher, the wittiest mason, carpenter, roofer, etc. you'll ever meet.
I'm his grandson, a documentary filmmaker helping to make ends meet by sharing this glorious space with Hip Campers.
Caring for the land:
Please do not collect your own firewood on the land. That wood is decomposing and contributing to the health of the forest, providing numerous habitats for bugs. As we are going through a temporary pause on selling firewood, you can purchase firewood at nearby Limerick Hardware.
If you want a flush toilet:
While we are glad to offer a composting toilet, if you really want a flush toilet, Wawa is just an approximately seven-minute drive (depending on one of the two traffic lights in town).
Note on dogs:
We love dogs! We run a dog-sitting business, so there may be a pack (2-5) of dogs that come through the woods with us on walks. All dogs we sit are friendly towards humans.
Nearby recreation: The Perkiomen Creek trail is just a mile away, perfect for biking and hiking. Cabin Craft Outdoor Adventures, just 7 minutes away, rents kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and tubes.
Food recs:
Thai Spice is ten minutes away. Trouble's End brewing is 15 minutes away in Collegeville, with delicious beer and a Spicy Chicken sandwich. For breakfast, we recommend Snoozy's cafe in historic downtown Schwenksville.

Our property consists of 20 acres of the beautiful Blue Mountain. At the Lookout you can see for 40 Miles across the valley below. With views from Allentown, Lyons and Reading. The area with the view is a shared area for both sites. Feel free to use the fire ring while you sit and watch the evening sky. It is breathtaking at night.
At the bottom of the mountain there is a Gunclub with a shooting range and you will hear shooting from the property. Please note it is far away and there is no danger
Our property is mostly the mountain side. But with an area that is flat for tent camping. The property is close to Route 309 but there is a camping area away from the road. Our land is next to the road and you will hear some road noise.
We are next to National Parks land which also consists of the Appalachian Trail and also against the Pennsylvania Game Lands. You can walk up the street or trail to Thunderhead Lodge Restaurant. Leaser lake is a short drive if you like fishing or kayaking. The Wanamakers Store is a unique place to visit with amazing sandwiches. The Wanamakers and Kemton railroad is close by for a weekend train ride. Bear Rock Junction is close by for mini golf and ice cream. Eight Oaks Distillery is only a few minutes away. Several wineries and antique shops as well.
You may also see Appalachian Trail Thru Hikers come thru our property to stay at the hostel. Please welcome our hikers as they come to rest their weary bodies. Welcome to the Lookout. We have made many improvements to our land but also try to maintain the beauty it is. We plan to keep upgrading our property.
We plan to use the land for Recreational activites. We have a Hiker Hostel in the Building. The Building was previously the Blue Mountain Lookout Restaurant but has been neglected for approximately 20 years. We are trying to restore the property to bring it back to life.

Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. Fire rings are included. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. At this time, I do not have fresh water, shower or electric. I have an extension cord for charging phones, etc...
We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are!
As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future.

My family and i had the best time at camp nox! The campsite is so spacious and peaceful and has everything you need. We spent most of our time down by the creek where we saw frogs, snails and a deer mama with her baby! Sarah was very accommodating especially when i realized i had forgotten pillows. thank you so much for letting us stay at your site! We made the best memories!

Really cool spot, went here for the weekend with my 10 year old daughter and our dog and we had a great time. No having to set up a tent and the cot being provided was a huge help for us! Made it much easier. Nice to walk up and down the little creek and my daughter spent hours on the paddle boat! The goats were super sweet! Our first night, there was a live event somewhere nearby and music was heard until around 10pm. Also the neighboring dairy farm did have a decent amount of noise, machinery, mooing (which did not bother us haha), so if you’re sensitive to noise this might not be the best fit! But we had a great time and would definitely return.
There is a hill that you have to take up and down to the campsite and they do provide a wagon which was great! Michael’s wife was very sweet and helped us on our first trip!

We just stayed here for the second time, and it was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. The owners are some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts we've met. They genuinely care about their guests and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need for a relaxing stay.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The 22 acres are stunning, with a peaceful creek, swimming hole, wooded areas, and plenty of scenic views. Everywhere you look feels like a picture-perfect escape into nature.
One of the things we love most is how secluded and private it feels while still being comfortable and well-maintained. Even when another group is staying at the neighboring campsite, you still have plenty of privacy and your own space to relax and enjoy the property.
Whether you're sitting by the water, enjoying a campfire, or simply taking in the surroundings, it's hard not to feel relaxed here—and our dog absolutely loved it too.
Returning for a second visit only confirmed what we thought after our first stay—this is truly a special place. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful getaway.

This place is wonderful! The directions are very thorough and everything is set up so beautifully. We stayed at campsite #3, and we saw the almost moon rise over Hawk mountain 2 nights in a row. Stunning. And the sunsets were just glorious. I'm excited to revisit and try site #1 or #2, as they are both nestled near the river. So cool.
One note: this site is dog friendly, which is just great. BUT the Hawk Mountain Conservancy trails are NOT. Plenty to do otherwise, though. Beautiful part of the world, and the hosts are fantastic. Definitely returning!

Came for a girl's car camping trip. Felt safe the entire time. Beautiful site, right on the water and steps away from the waterfall. Very spacious and mostly private. Would love to bring my family here!

I stayed in the Dogwood pod and it was amazing. Everything was clean, the water pressure and temperature was amazing, and Grace really made sure the cabin had everything (tea/coffee, fire starter, lanterns, soap, etc.)

Weekend Trip to Camp Nox ⛺️
Sarah was a very helpful and proactive host, and her campsite is located in a beautiful spot on her family’s land. She set up the site with everything we needed, from a camp sink, to a bevy of fire starters, to a clean porta potty. There are many fun games to play if you need a break from exploring. Even on a very wet weekend we enjoyed the short hike down to the peaceful river (even had a Bald Eagle fly by!) and the longer hike to the lake, and it’s a short drive to access more trails nearby as well. If you want to have a treat, a quick 5 min drive gets you to Owowcow for good ice cream and Kimberton cafe for tea and coffee. The family agreed this was one of our favorite campsites and we look forward to coming back in nicer weather.

We were at site 6 for our stay and it was the perfect spot for two people! A little bit more private with trees and bushes between the other sites with an amazing view! Jake was very kind, easy to contact and checked on us daily. We will absolutely be back in the future!

I had a great time on Mel’s property! Flowing water from the creek. Quiet, peaceful, quaint! She helped get my gear too my site with her 4-wheeler. All in all a great experience! I will camp there again!

The first thing I said when I got there was "WOW!" the views are amazing. We had a late start and when we pulled up, Jake was actually there talking to all the campers. He saw us with our rig and walked over to us. He pointed us to our campsite and gave us tips on where we can go and also asked us if we want firewood which was only $12 bucks for a huge bag.
The campground was very full the weekend we went but everyone was very respectful of each others privacy and it was not a big deal at all.
There was a port-o-potty every few hundred feet and they were one of the nicest and cleanest port-o-pottys I have seen. They have a manual foot flush, lots of toilet paper and also a foot pump sink for washing your hands.
To get to downtown Jim Thorpe was also very convenient. About a 10 min drive down the mountain. We got to explore some of the town and then come back to our cozy campsite to star gaze and have a campfire.
This place is definitely one we will come back to and we have already made plans to come back in the Fall. We had a great time!

We tent camped at Lindera for our second time this weekend. The site is comfortable and shady, and the stream was an excellent attraction for our 2- and 4-year olds. Would recommend.

Shawn was great, property was perfect for the getaway with friends and family that we were looking for. The property was off the beaten path enough to feel like you’re backcountry camping but close enough to civilization to resupply quickly when needed! It was also nice that we could glamp/car camp from the campsite without a hike!

I had a great time at the Beaver Dam campsite at Roundstone. The nearest Porta-Johns are a bit of a walk but they are very well maintained. It can feel like there is a little more traffic since the wood pile is very close by but people are generally quiet and try to be efficient. You cannot see the woodpile from the campsite. Overall it is pretty secluded, so you feel like you have the pond to yourself. I don’t think people knew there was a campsite there because we had a family walk into camp around 9pm one night. I think clearer signage might help!
The rest of the land is absolutely stunning! It was clean, people were respectful, and my sister and I felt very safe!

Susan's Site 3 atop her farm is easily one of the best camping experiences we've ever had. So much was provided already including picnic table, chairs lovely wood benches, top-notch fire wood and kindling, a fire pole, a variety of grates, a dish washing area, sponge and soap plus the water to wash with. the privy, while low tech, was well equipped with enough supplies, bug spray a fire blanket and a light. The views from the site cannot be overstated. It was beautiful and the privet was blooming as a bonus. We thought the occasional train was very atmospheric. We did see sites 1 & 2 by the river but didn't intrude on them and they also look great. Susan and Jenn were great communicators and we enjoyed every minute of the trip.
