Beautiful peaceful private site
Tent camping on Stephen’s land was wonderful, the pictures truly don’t do this site justice. It was a great layout, had some tree cover but also areas of sunshine. We were able to set up tents and hammocks with the perfect amount of space. We wished we had another day there! Stephen also recommended FANTASTIC hikes nearby and provided us with an inexhaustible amount of firewood which we were more than thankful for. Will def revisit!

This property is dope!
This property is dope! Very clean, cool campground- large stones to sit on and a beautiful views. Campsite is secluded, under a canopy of trees and there is an awesome meadow for stargazing with lots of wildlife traffic. They provided a bunch of firewood and the location was great - right by trails & the Delaware. Would definitely recommend and will plan to come back!

Nice campsite very close to the Delaware water gap and some excellent hiking. The host responded promptly to messages and the shower was hot! Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic private camping!
My husband and I spent Memorial Day weekend at Twin Oaks and loved the campsite Stephen hosted! It absolutely down poured the day of our arrival, but when we got to the campsite it was actually fairly dry and protected in the trees. We loved the private setting of the site and hearing the birds each day. We saw a deer grazing in the nearby brush one day and heard other animals at night, so this is definitely a great place for animal spotting.
The spot itself is fairly basic with a nice level spot to pitch your tent, a fire ring (with wood!), and a wooden table. We were able to park right out front of the site with our Hyundai Sante Fe, but I would note the small cabin where you can get water and use the toilet is either a fairly steep hike down, or you should drive. You may want to consider bringing a large vessel, or multiple vessels, to fill up your water all at once so you don't have to keep going back and forth. We really enjoyed the location too - it was an easy jumping off point for a visit to Bushkill Falls, kayaking down the Delaware, and hiking. We would absolutely recommend a stay here and would love to come back!

Camping with family.
Twin oaks was beautiful. I highly recommend it. There is only one spot so you can really just be your family not like other campsites where someone decides to blow up an air mattress at at 2 in the morning. If that person is you then this is the spot because you are alone. Good amount of shade with the trees. Very nice spot and host.

I was looking for an affordable and dog-friendly place to stay so I could hike in the Delaware Water Gap. This spot was very close to both the Mohican Outdoor Center and the Mt. Tammany trailhead, so it fit the bill.
Peaceful and quiet (ok, not that quiet, in early May the birds were out in force in the morning!). Nice to have access to a shower and bathroom down the hill in the cabin. I was kind of pushing it in my Prius on the access road up the hill, but I was fine, and just went slow.

Amazing and private campsite!
I absolutely loved staying on Stephen's land. I am a HUGE camper, grew up in the desert of Utah so I camp a lot. One of my biggest complaints about East Coast camping is how on top of everyone you are well... this Hipcamp is the opposite of that. Stephen's camp site on his property is very private. You can't see their house or anyone else around. The campsite is incredibly clean with plenty of space. Stephen provided us with ample fire wood as well. Stephen as a host was incredibly accommodating and friendly. He gave us great suggestions for hikes and other things in the area. Lastly, it was dog friendly which is a major bonus and if you are lucky you will get to meet his amazing Mastif, Wally! I absolutely recommend this place!

We loved tent camping at Twin Oaks! Unfortunately we only had one night to stay, but it was lovely! Stephen was so welcoming and friendly. He sent over two recent surveys of the bird species seen on the property before we arrived, met us at the entrance upon arrival, provided dry firewood, and spoke with us about the different environmental projects they've been doing. We will absolutely be back when we have more time to stay longer!

Winter Camp!
Stephen's site is great for a small group. It is a beautiful piece of land, has some great topography and he is a very accommodating and generous host. We were doing a two night winter camp and he provided plenty of wood so we could keep an ample fire going and we were lucky enough to get some snow so we could go sledding on some of the awesome hills. He also made some great nearby hiking recommendations.

Perfect
This is such a great campsite, I really can’t say enough good things about it. Stephen’s property is beautiful and the site is the perfect mix of secluded and easy to reach. I was able to drive up no problem (2wd economy car) and yet it still feels quiet and tucked into the woods. There’s a gorgeous mix of trees and other flora and the site is a good balance of open and sheltered with enough rocks and landscaping for a nicely sheltered tent area but also plenty of trees and some open space as well allowing for sunlight to pour in in the morning. Easy access to clean water down the hill as well. This really is a perfect campsite and Stephen is a wonderful host and a joy to chat with.

This spot was great! Very private and nestled in the woods at the top of a hill. We were still able to get a great view of the stars. Stephen provided a great amount of firewood and kindling for us, and was a great host! We would definitely return to this site.

Private, clean and awesome set up!
Such a perfect campsite! Super private, amazing set up, immaculately clean and great location. Could have fit a big group up there if we wanted to, but my little family of 2, plus our 2 dogs felt incredibly spoiled! There were lots of coyote and fox sounds at night, but saw no actual sign of animal activity near the campground. Would love to return!

Amazing place to stay !
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here! A very private piece of the property, and the perfect place to put up a tent. There was a large stone bench that was perfect for sitting by the fire, as well as the stone landing where we set up camp. Will definitely be recommending to our friends and family.

10/10 Incredible
Such an incredible space! The grounds were wonderfully kept, with a campfire featuring natural seating, an elevated space for tents, and an area with a picnic table for eating. The campsite is far beyond the house, giving absolute privacy. A friend and I booked as a last minute relaxing night, super last minute. Stephen responded quickly and was very accommodating. The cedar wood was set up when we arrived and it was a wonderful aromatic touch! I promise, it will not disappoint! I’m excited to have found such a spot and will for sure be back!

Great for first time overnight
We enjoyed the property immensely. A great option for those wanting to try out camping for the first time. The site is a ten-minute drive from popular Delaware Water Gap trailheads, and the town on the Pennsylvania side has a few nice restaurants and a farmers market. Check out Edge of the Woods outfitters for water sports and bike rentals.
We'd recommend a 4WD vehicle or SUV to allow for direct drive-up to the campsite and a comfortable inflatable sleeping pad as the ground is a bit rocky.

Awesome Campsite!
Staying at Sephen's campsite was a pleasure! The stonework for the terraced tent and fire pit area was absolutely beautiful. The pit toilet was clean and pleasant to use. The deer grazed in the clover meadow while we sat by the fire and in the morning we saw bears twice! The site is far enough away from the house and the road, so it feels very private. Thanks Stephen!

Stone oak and ash
A beautiful piece of land in New Jersey, Stephen has spent the time and energy to develop a corner of his property into a cozy camp site where we were able to camp out for the weekend and escape the hustle and bustle.
I've never seen so much wildlife while camping locally - turkey and deer were plentiful and even a small bear a ways out.
The site is mostly covered by shade with plentiful large stones creating a natural worn feel. I felt safe and comfortable the whole weekend.
Stephen was also kind enough to provide plentiful firewood, always a plus.
