Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's.
Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows.
There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites.
Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive.
Cool and brand new Brewery opening up soon right across the rd from Cowtown and right next to The best Cowboy outfitter.

This campsite provides a great location to use as a base for day hikes. The tent site is situated beneath a canopy of two large Red Oak trees. This property was formerly a farm and has since grown back to a pioneer Hardwood Forest. There are stone rows throughout the farm and some areas that have been cleared of invasive vegetation and planted with native grasses to enhance the deer population.
We suggest day hikes such as Catfish Fire Tower, Van Campen's Glen, and Buttermilk Falls. Here's a list of our recommendations for hiking, fishing, and just plain old exploring:
The Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area (DWG) and nearby Walpack Fish and Wildlife Management Area in Layton have many hiking trails (See the National Park Service's website). Great areas for sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting.
Buttermilk Falls, (trailhead on) Mountain Road in Layton. Hike to the top of the beautiful waterfalls near Walpack and take a 6.8 mile loop trail to Crater Lake.
Walpack Inn, National Park Service Rd 615, Layton. A beautiful restaurant with an entire back wall of windows with a view of the Kittatinny Valley. The Walpack is open on weekends for dinner only.
Appalachian Trail (AT). Check out the AMC Mohican Outdoor Center located along the trail in Blairstown. The AT runs through the DWG. \
Long Pine Pond amp; Crater Lake in Walpack. Both are spring fed and great for swimming and boating (clear water).
Van Campen's Glen, Old Mine Road, Hardwick. The 2.1 mile loop trail features several cascades and waterfalls, a narrow stone valley, and a lush hemlock ravine.
Catfish Fire Tower, Millbrook Road, Hardwick. A rocky 2.0 or longer 4.4 mile hike to the top of the ridge. Great views on NJ and PA.
Also check out "Hiking Our Preserves" on the Ridge and Valley Conservancy's website for information on 4 local hiking trails.
Delaware River- Great for swimming, boating, tubing, canoeing, fishing. Keep your eye out for Bald Eagles!

The Paulinskill (Blairstown) and FlatBrook (Old Mine Road, Hardwick) rivers are local spots for trout fishing.
On Saturdays during the summer, you may want to try out the Blairstown Farmers Market on Stillwater Road. Hours 9:30 to 1:00 pm.

Come experience 152 acres of preserved forest in the beautiful Highlands Region of northern New Jersey. Our nonprofit nature center has a rich history and offers events rooted in arts, education, and recreation.
We have four rustic cabins with electricity available for overnight stays of 1–7 nights. A mountain stream runs through the property, and there are plenty of casual outdoor seating areas to relax in. There is also a large recreation field and private trails to explore during your stay with us.
Our property borders Norvin Green State Forest, which offers miles of hiking trails, including 360-degree views from Wyanokie High Point. Each RV site includes a picnic table, fire ring, 30 or 50-amp electrical service, and sewer. We have deluxe patio sites and some rustic cabins too! Friendly people are waiting by the phone to tell you about our amazing activities, and an atmosphere that all campers will take to heart.

Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area at the little creek for serene enjoyment and private meditation.
The camp site has a small firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season.
The camping area is semi wooded. Both the campsite and little "log and have access to a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate.
The little 'log cabin' is a cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, pull out chair and pack and play. (Sleeps 4).
There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and restaurants, many deliver.
Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throughout the area.
Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters.
For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera.
For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants .
Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distilleries and vineyards all within a short drive of Oak Grove Acres.

We have two private, quiet and roomy wooded campsites, both with shared access to a private-entrance indoor bathroom with shower, a jacuzzi, a washer/dryer and now a cold plunge that you can set to your desired temp. Please rinse off with the nearby hose or the outside shower before using the jacuzzi and cold plunge. The bathroom, W/D, jacuzzi and ice plung are at the main house about 150 yards away. One site, Deep Woods 1, has power and party lights. Our second site, Serenity Now, has a screened gazebo. Both have plenty of parking, fire pits, chairs, and unlimited wood. Bring your tent or small camper van and enjoy! We're eight minutes to the OCNJ beaches, without the crowds and expense. You should be able to get a cell signal but no Wifi; just use your hotspot.

Pictures are accurate! Nice to have an outlet and cot. Straightforward lockbox check-in, clean bathrooms and showers. Little tricky to find in the dark, but that was more my fault. Staff I encountered were very friendly.

Looked exactly like the pictures! The host was responsive to all my questions and super accommodating. It was easy to find. We picked up some groceries on the way in, and it was close to some great trails and kayaking. There was a bit of noise from the road, but not awful. Lots of nature sounds as well, and some geese were by the lake in the morning. Loved our time there!

Weekend Trip to The New Weis Center
A very affordable and comfortable place we booked to go to the NY Renaissance Faire! We got there admittedly very very late in the night to check in (around 11pm). One of the staff just happened to be coming back to the center and saw us parking. They helped us get to our cabin and gave us a small tour to make sure we were all set! Very helpful and accommodating. The place itself was very cozy. My fiance was walking back from the bathroom and encountered a family of deer about 5 feet away! He came back to the cabin and we got to watch them pass! 10/10 would recommend

Nice spot. Relatively quiet and secluded. Already overhead tarp and small gazebo which was great for tent setup as it was raining when we arrived.
Other than that, nothing bad to say at all. Patrick was quick to communicate and directions to the site were easy to follow. Also can’t ever complain about a jacuzzi on site!
