Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area at the little creek for serene enjoyment and private meditation.
The camp site has a small firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season.
The camping area is semi wooded. Both the campsite and little "log and have access to a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate.
The little 'log cabin' is a cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, pull out chair and pack and play. (Sleeps 4).
There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and restaurants, many deliver.
Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throughout the area.
Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters.
For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera.
For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants .
Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distilleries and vineyards all within a short drive of Oak Grove Acres.

Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's.
Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows.
There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites.
Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive.
Cool and brand new Brewery opening up soon right across the rd from Cowtown and right next to The best Cowboy outfitter.

We have two private, quiet and roomy wooded campsites, both with shared access to a private-entrance indoor bathroom with shower, a jacuzzi, a washer/dryer and now a cold plunge that you can set to your desired temp. Please rinse off with the nearby hose or the outside shower before using the jacuzzi and cold plunge. The bathroom, W/D, jacuzzi and ice plung are at the main house about 150 yards away. One site, Deep Woods 1, has power and party lights. Our second site, Serenity Now, has a screened gazebo. Both have plenty of parking, fire pits, chairs, and unlimited wood. Bring your tent or small camper van and enjoy! We're eight minutes to the OCNJ beaches, without the crowds and expense. You should be able to get a cell signal but no Wifi; just use your hotspot.

This campsite provides a great location to use as a base for day hikes. The tent site is situated beneath a canopy of two large Red Oak trees. This property was formerly a farm and has since grown back to a pioneer Hardwood Forest. There are stone rows throughout the farm and some areas that have been cleared of invasive vegetation and planted with native grasses to enhance the deer population.
We suggest day hikes such as Catfish Fire Tower, Van Campen's Glen, and Buttermilk Falls. Here's a list of our recommendations for hiking, fishing, and just plain old exploring:
The Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area (DWG) and nearby Walpack Fish and Wildlife Management Area in Layton have many hiking trails (See the National Park Service's website). Great areas for sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting.
Buttermilk Falls, (trailhead on) Mountain Road in Layton. Hike to the top of the beautiful waterfalls near Walpack and take a 6.8 mile loop trail to Crater Lake.
Walpack Inn, National Park Service Rd 615, Layton. A beautiful restaurant with an entire back wall of windows with a view of the Kittatinny Valley. The Walpack is open on weekends for dinner only.
Appalachian Trail (AT). Check out the AMC Mohican Outdoor Center located along the trail in Blairstown. The AT runs through the DWG. \
Long Pine Pond amp; Crater Lake in Walpack. Both are spring fed and great for swimming and boating (clear water).
Van Campen's Glen, Old Mine Road, Hardwick. The 2.1 mile loop trail features several cascades and waterfalls, a narrow stone valley, and a lush hemlock ravine.
Catfish Fire Tower, Millbrook Road, Hardwick. A rocky 2.0 or longer 4.4 mile hike to the top of the ridge. Great views on NJ and PA.
Also check out "Hiking Our Preserves" on the Ridge and Valley Conservancy's website for information on 4 local hiking trails.
Delaware River- Great for swimming, boating, tubing, canoeing, fishing. Keep your eye out for Bald Eagles!
White Lake - 97 Stillwater Rd. Hardwick, NJ 07825.
The Paulinskill (Blairstown) and FlatBrook (Old Mine Road, Hardwick) rivers are local spots for trout fishing.
On Saturdays during the summer, you may want to try out the Blairstown Farmers Market on Stillwater Road. Hours 9:30 to 1:00 pm.

I had the most wonderful time at twin oaks! The site is perfect, nice elevated clear platform to pitch the tent, it would easily fit 2 tents. The large boulders set up around both the tent site and the fire pit are really ingenious. My favorite thing about the site was the fire pit. I was able to keep a fire going the entire time I was there, and one of the greatest things is that a full load of firewood was available as soon as I got there. And the tools for maintaining the fire were a really nice touch too! The surroundings are green and peaceful, and my pup and I really enjoyed just being able to unplug, and soak in the beautiful sounds and sights this unique and lovely property. Please remember to bring work gloves or use the tongs provided to get your firewood from the wood pile as wood piles are favorite spots for spiders,! Having a great cup of coffee and a really hearty breakfast fireside overlooking the beautiful meadow and woods was just plain good for my soul! I can't wait to visit again in the fall when the leaves are changing. Stephen and Carol are kind gracious hosts, their property is lovely, and it was a pleasure to meet Wally and Daphne! I would recommend having four-wheel or all-wheel drive to get up the hill to the campsite, but its seclusion is what makes it so perfect!

Glen was a wonderful host. He gave us options as to which site we'd like to stay at, given we had 4 kids, some of whom had never camped before. He also checked in regularly and gave us lots of ideas for how to spend our time: hikes, fishing, swimming, etc. He even let the kids come to his farm and feed the animals.
The site itself was very spacious. Beautiful night and beautiful area! We'd stay here again!

Beautiful little house in the woods. Really gives you the feel of being tucked into nature. The owner offered fresh sheets and a camping shower, with a water pump on the property that is fresh. Nice little nook with a fire pit and picnic tables nearby. Very close to Delaware Water Gap and a ton of sights! Pure sounds of nature at night. Felt very safe here.

Fantastic experience! Wonderfully peaceful setting, easy to find.
Grace did a lovely job welcoming and showing us around, introducing us to the Center, and getting us settled in the cabin.
We appreciated how clean and relatively roomy the cabin was. It was close enough to bathrooms and shower to make it easy to get to. Having electricity was super convenient, as was wifi. We loved being able to read, watch a little Netflix, and email family.
John gave us a fantastic overview and history of the Center.
We visited the natural pool which is so beautiful. From there, we hiked part of the purple trail and had a great time.
We can't wait for 2 things: 1) to become members of the Center; and 2) come back for another stay at Cabin 166!

First off, I genuinely don’t even know where to start. The pictures truly do not do this place justice. This is easily one of the most beautiful spaces I’ve ever hosted at. I booked the property for my birthday weekend with a group of friends, and it was absolutely perfect for what I envisioned.
The property itself is stunning, spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by so much natural beauty. There was plenty of room for everyone to be together while still having their own space to relax. Every little area felt like it had its own charm, and the entire setting made the weekend feel so special.
David was also a wonderful host and made the experience easy from beginning to end. My friends could not stop talking about how beautiful the property was, and we made memories here that I’ll genuinely cherish forever.
If you’re considering booking, DO IT. I already know I’d love to come back. Truly such a hidden gem.

Will definitely be returning this is a hidden gem !!! Far enough away from the noise of the highways so we just enjoyed the sounds of nature, couldn’t ask for a better camping trip !! The insane amount of firewood that was available,‘literally no complaints only raves !!!

Camping here was a pleasure - it felt private and secure. The host was friendly. Having a regular bathroom to use made life simple. And the hot tub and cold plunge really made it feel luxurious. Plus it's comfortably close to beaches in Ocean City We would camp here again!

Great camp ground for families, they could offer better photos of actual sites. Don’t count on the laundry room dryer. Better off with a close line. Kinda pricey but we’ll keep.

The deep woods site is peaceful, quiet, and restful! Easy fire with plenty of dry fire wood. A hot tub soak was a great way to end the day. Definitely recommend.

This was one of my favorite Hipcamps I’ve stayed at! The campsite is massive, very private, and peaceful. We loved the huge fire pit and firewood being provided was a huge plus! The hosts were very kind & explained to us how to get to the campsite since we arrived after dark. Definitely want to come back here in the future!
