The owner-occupied residence is tucked away from the road with only one neighbor in sight. We live in a 1987 geodesic dome home on the property. Additionally, our self-converted 2002 International Blue Bird school bus is parked here. There is plenty of room for you to park in the circle driveway or to the left of the dome. Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's. Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive. My property is an old blueberry farm. There is a cleared area that I use for dog training at the front of the property and some trails throughout the property; but mostly it’s a quiet place to sleep in a small/medium sized self-contained RV without slide-outs to the side (your RV or van must contain a toilet which must be emptied off-site. Further note: I DO NOT allow tents). Also, if your RV has low clearance, there is a slope from the road to the driveway, thus the bottom of your RV may scrape the ground (neither of my vans have a problem with this: I have a Ford E350 and a Ram Promaster). If on the site in July, you can pick a pint or two of blueberries (IF they are available) for your own use. The berries are chemical free. My neighbor to the right also has a pick-your-own farm with tended blueberry fields (you are not allowed to pick my neighbor’s crop unless he is there so you can pay him) My site is in the NJ Pine Barrens which is renowned for its unspoiled nature, abundant, and diverse wildlife. It is also within the Pinelands National Reserve and within the area designated by the United Nations as an International Biosphere Reserve. Nearby is the Batona Trail, the Franklin Parker preserve, canoeing on Chatsworth Lake or the Wading River, bicycling through the Pine Barrens and and the cranberry bogs on the bicycle lanes on Routes 532 and 563, the quaint village of Chatsworth also known as the Capital of the Pines, Hot Diggidy Dog a food stand within the village of Chatsworth, and Brendan Byrne State Forest which includes the historic cranberry farming village of Whitesbog where the cultivated blueberry was developed by Elizabeth White and Dr. Frederick Coville. The Whitesbog Preservation Trust which manages the village has an extensive year round calendar of events and a month-long blueberry festival during weekends in July.

This site was truly peaceful and serene. I set up my tent under the canopy, realizing I forgot tent stakes. I probably didn't need them as the weather was beautiful and not very windy, but the host was kind enough to find ones for me to borrow anyway! I liked that it was private and tucked away, but still close enough to a running toilet and shower. I didn't use the jacuzzi, but it's a cool feature. You are provided a headlamp, lantern, bug spray, and bunch of wood - it's the little things that make a stay comfortable and memorable. I would absolutely come back!

This is our third visit to this site, and it continues to be simply amazing. We always stay at Site 1, where we’re able to set up right on the lakeside with an incredible, wide-open view of the water. The property is consistently quiet, exceptionally clean, and very well maintained. We had no issues with ticks during our stay, and taking the canoe out on the lake is always a highlight. We even caught a few sightings of wild turkeys, which made the experience even better. It’s a fantastic site for both large gatherings and smaller, more intimate groups. The available porta-john is clean and well maintained, which is always a plus when camping. Easily one of the best campgrounds in this part of the country, it offers the perfect balance of comfort and nature. Cell reception is also decent, allowing you to stay connected if needed without taking away from the outdoor experience.

Great open area stop when overlanding, easy drive to many places including the beach. As stated there are no facilities so you must be self sufficient. Tom does have a fire pit and chairs available, and while we did not use them it is a nice added touch. Our dogs loved the open field and to be able to roam unleashed without us having to worry about them getting too close to a road or other campers. Great host and nice stop. Would stop again!

We had an amazing time at the horse farm. I took my son camping for the first time ever and this was more than the best situation in setup for a child. We were able to freely roam the farm and play with the horses at our will. We camped at campsite, one which was at the end of the property and gives you an entire view of the farm. Bren the host was amazing when we woke up to our surprise. They were hosting a mini petting zoo and Christmas pictures. By far, one of my best nights out with hipcamp.

What a fabulous time it was on this farm. I went in December so it was a bit cold. The owner was was very kind. She had already put a space heater in there and warms it up for me. If you don't like the cold then do not go in the cooler months but you ABSOLUTELY should go in the 3 other seasons. I loved meeting the horses and waking up to the sounds of a rooster. On the way out to this farm I saw a few other farms. I saw the biggest bald eagle I've ever seen in my life as well as peacocks. All this in NJ. This was an amazing experience.
