- Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. We allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Please bring along potable water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available MID May- MID October. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups.
- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Otherwise, weekends are typically a two night minimum mid May through October. Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend are a three night minimum.**

Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area at the little creek for serene enjoyment and private meditation.
Each camp site has a small private firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season.
There is a wooded site, an open site for self contained campers and tent campers, the "lil log cabin" and a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate.
How about camping in a Vintage Camper! We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably.
Or, stay in 'little log cabin' our cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, pull out chair and pack and play. (Sleeps 4).
There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and restaurants, many deliver.
Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throughout the area.
Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters.
For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera.
For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants .
Enjoy any one of the many local Brewers, Distilleries and vineyards all within a short drive of Oak Grove Acres.

Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us.
While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. We're always glad to point you in the right direction for a nice walk or a longer hike. You may be able to tag along collecting eggs from the hens or feeding some of the other animals we may have.

Weekend Trip to FernRock Retreat
This is a phenomenal spot for a relaxing stay. Sandy and John have put a lot of love into this space, and it shows. My girlfriend and I spent the weekend in the cabin by the creek, and even with inclement weather, there was plenty of space inside and plenty to do outside. The cabin was spacious, with two bedrooms, a mediation loft, full kitchen, and bathroom. The weekend was filled with passing thunderstorms, and we made great use of the screened in porch to watch the storms in comfort. Between downpours, we got to kayak, walk the grounds, and watch the plentiful wildlife. Sandy and John were great hosts, super friendly, and really accommodating when the storms knocked out power in the area.
Really great experience, and we'll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to FernRock Retreat
Amazing space and even more amazing hosts! Sandy and John provided the exact type of weekend escape my girlfriend and I needed to reset, kayak, meditate, walk some trails, sit on the dock, and still have a full kitchen and shower to come home to. John and Sandy were lovely to chat with every time we encountered them, and were super responsive and gracious when inclement weather hit. We will absolutely be visiting again soon!

Such a standout place! Pictures don’t do it justice - book it if you’re considering! Sandy and John are considerate hosts who balance proactive support and giving ample space to explore and have privacy.

I had a great time at Deer Path Cabin. It was so cozy and the nature was beautiful. Everything was clean and there were a lot of amenities. We were able to cook and make a fire which was a lot of fun. This was the perfect little get away, would love to come back!

Great spot, very private but close to town, lake, and hiking trails. Nice creek located onsite to wade in, or if you’re like us, set up a chair and chill in. There is a cooking area, sink, water filled jugs, fire pit w wire cooking options, and a charcoal grill. porta potty is clean. There is a hammock off to the side to relax in. One thing to note is you can hear traffic in the distance, but it’s not too disruptive. Would highly recommended! Also, you need to stop at Owow cow (sp?) creamery for some delicious ice cream!

As a 1st time Hipcamp user, I relied heavily on reviews, so I wanted to answer the questions I had.
My twin girls age 11 & I enjoyed a 2-night girls’ trip after I’d spent over a year on disability following an accident. Richard & Mary were amazing & accommodated our trip. The $25 firewood wheel barrel was convenient, the $5 fresh eggs were worth it. I felt $125 a night & fees was a lot considering some updates needed.
This is a beautiful, secluded riverside campsite perfect for swimming, tubing, kayaking, fishing, or relaxing. There is no electricity or running water so bring solar power or battery packs, lights or fans, bug spray, bug control for openings in corners of tent, dish soap, water shoes, rope, sunscreen, and a wagon—carrying things from parking to the campsite is steep.
This is rustic camping, not glamping. The tent had cobwebs, bugs, & a few things left from previous guests, & we had a bit of water come in during the rain. A good cleaning between guests & a few inexpensive updates (replacing the hammock & weathered ropes, stability poles to get to river safely, & routine tent cleaning & new ties as they were breaking, would make a huge difference.
We made wonderful memories & would 💯 return. Richard & Mary are wonderful hosts, & this property has incredible potential. Beautiful, secluded property in Jim Thorpe, PA. Scott got our crew all settled in and gave us a thorough overview of the site, the land and what not to miss—the amazing waterfalls on the property. Multiple marked hiking trails on the property offered various levels for your hike.
We set up camp and started to explore. There’s a rushing stream running at the bottom of the site that was almost a trail of its own for the teenagers with us as they bounded rock to rock downstream. The site itself is not a true drive in as we had to leave our cars at the to pad and walk gear down. Like most campers, we have our own gear, but Scott and Tina had most of what we needed right there on site.
We trekked to the waterfalls the next day which were less than a 1/4 mile away. The falls were beautiful, the water was cold , and there were plenty of photo ops and decks to relax and watch/listen to the Bear Creek Falls. The rope bridge and trails near the falls were challenging enough to make a morning of it.
Or next hike later that day was on Scotts Scoot which took us on a memorable encounter with a large black bear. My Doberman didn’t know if she was looking at another dog or not. At about 300 lbs +, the black bear ambled away as my dog looked at me wondering what she just saw. My daughter and her friends were excited at the encounter.
Jim Thorpe for ice cream (and a beer at Molly Maguire’s) rounded out our day.
Scott was attentive and kind as a good host should be.

1 night at Magical Treehouse w/ HotTub & Slide
Excellent Host. Great property/location. Truly a magical treehouse...just as described. Really nice canvas glamping tent with big bed....electric, fridge, towels, hamper, coffee station....all the utensils and things we needed to cook steaks food.....comfy hot tub , very clean, warm....perfect deck.....watched the moon....very secluded, private spot. Definately will be coming back. TY

We stayed for two nights at Katharina’s cabin with three adults and three kids under 5 and had a fantastic time. The cabin is very comfortable and wonderfully rustic. We loved hiking along the creek in the back and roasting smores over the fire.

This was a wonderful spot! This is the first site you arrive at when you drive into the campground after passing the lovely pond, so it's very easy to find! Still very quiet and serene, though. We were amazed by the comfortable and spacious cabin, and that it had a mini fridge, microwave, and space heaters. Dresser and lamp are very homey, and the cute circular table with chairs was perfect for games and tea. The bench and hooks along the entryway inside were great for storing essentials and getting ready for the day. Cute porch area! Lovely windows look out towards the picnic table and stream across the camp road. Waterfall view as you walk outside! The portapotty was serviced right as we arrived, so it was very pleasant. We did see a black bear a couple time in the far distance behind the cabin, in the woods.
We had reserved this cabin, the Waterfall Cabin, and Tent Site #1 all together for 30th birthday weekend, and that was perfect for feeling like a village yet all spaced out. The Buckhorn Cabin was the perfect central meal and gathering spot amongst the 3 sites.

My friends and I had an awesome experience at Camp Dietrich! Stunning views, well stocked campsite, and a beautiful creek. Loved having a private campsite and being a short drive away from town. 10/10 can’t wait to come back!

Everything was clean and set up nicely. Well stocked with water and firewood. Scott and his wife were very nice and we would often see them riding around the property and they would stop and chat. They were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here and me and my family will be back.

This cabin has 2 nice chairs on the porch, perfect for gazing at the waterfall! The vibe inside the cabin is more cozy and secluded and cottage-like than the Buckhorn cabin which is a bit brighter, more airy, and bigger. Both cabins have nice rugs in the middle! The Waterfall cabin is so fun to get to across the bridge! The bridge feels very safe. There is a big wheelbarrow cart with bike tires to get your things across the bridge. The portapotty was just serviced as we arrived, so that was very pleasant! It's right on the road side of the footbridge. The distance between this cabin and the Buckhorn cabin is perfect for reserving both cabins together, or being totally secluded due to the footbridge and distance, but you might see each other at the road/ portapotties. The cabin is in its own little world with an overlook clearing by the waterfall, and at least 2 tent sites for Waterfall Cabin folks down by the stream, and even a hiking trail! There is a steep hill going up from behind the cabin which adds to the privacy and secluded feeling. There is a concrete walkway that leads to the waterfall, with a handrail, which is fun as an overlook! Also, as fun activities, I highly recommend Mauch Chunk Lake (which Casey recommended to us!) for beach and kayak rentals! And Lehighton Outdoor Center for bike rentals on the Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail. Both about 20 minutes away.
