Feel free to relax! Distance to more fun: 20 minutes to Jim Thorpe for biking, hiking, rafting, browsing cute shops, excellent restaurants. 12 minutes to Mauch Chunk Lake Park and the historic Switchback Trail 14 mins to Lehighton (Downtown Farm Market on Saturdays) Blended Bakery too! 15 mins to the Lehighton Outdoor Center for bike and rafting rentals (maybe kayak lessons) 25 minutes to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary 15 minutes to Bake Oven Knob (hike and a view) 20 mins to Blue Mountain Ski Area and Bike Park 20 mins to Beltzville Lake 10 minutes to Tamaqua 16 minutes to The Hometown Farmer's Market (9-9:00 on Wed only) 20 minutes to Tuscarora State Park 30 mins to Cabela's Outdoor Store Restaurant Recommendations - I love to snack and eat. Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins: > Bell's Cabin- Main cabin that sleeps up to six > The Chatham House- Sleeps up to ten > Chief's Cottage- sleeps up to ten All cabins have their own separate listing and can be booked together or combined. The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed. All cabins come equipped with full bathrooms, updated kitchens, wood stoves, and the main cabin has a walkout porch on the second floor. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life. The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property. We had a great weekend at Brian and Joanna's Fern Crest Campground. It was a last minute trip for us. We booked a Dome with 2 double beds and a hot tub. (no King hot tubs available) We knew it was going to be a rainy weekend but that was ok because we just wanted to relax. We love the vibe of the campground and what Brian and Joanna have done with it and hope to see it continue to grow. The campground is not too far off the road so you can hear traffic going by but it wasn't to the point of being distracting. The domes were clean and adorable. The only thing that would have been great would be either hangers for the rack or some hooks near the door. We had umbrellas and raincoats and nowhere to really hang them up while they were wet. The retro ice cream and coffee campers were such a great addition and the woman at both, I believe her name is Sue, was so nice and personable. She was helpful with any questions we had and gave suggestions for things to do in the area. Because of the rain, we ended up pushing the beds aside in the dome and put our camping chairs up in front of the window and used the cooler that came with the dome as a makeshift table for us to play games on and eat from. The beds were comfy and the linens were soft and smelled fresh. The bathrooms and showers were also clean and the soaps, shampoos, and conditioners all smelled great. We will definitely be staying here again and hopefully bringing friends and family with us! Thank you for such a great stay!

Absolutely wonderful experience in the tiny A-Frame! A weekend of massive storms and lots of rain, but we still enjoyed every second. Felt decadent to be in the hot tub while it rained 😜 The AFrame and bathroom were immaculate and everything was easy to find and navigate. We were pleasantly surprised to find there was a projector in the house and access to movies and shows. The pond was beautiful, a real gem! Filled with salamanders and fish. Was way too cold to get in, but there was a paddle boat available and fishing rods. Highly recommended!! Thank you Jean for a fabulous stay!

John and Sandy are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The grounds were amazing and we enjoyed the trails, water, games, but especially the maze. We chased butterflies, caught frogs, saw fairies, and ventured into the 100 acre wood. It was a great chance to relax and escape from the stress of daily life.

Weekend Trip to Journey's End Farm
Another lovely visit to Journey's End! We were early in the season so it was chilly, but we had an amazing time away from home with friends. We rented both cabins and both treehouses so the kids in the group had different places to explore and options for sleeping. Made for a very fun weekend; visiting the goats and chickens, cooking by the fire, even got a little fishing in on the small pond in the back of the property. And we wouldn't leave a weekend at JE without bringing home some of their maple syrup - it's really amazing. Highly recommend a visit!

This is absolutely a 5/5 experience. Campsites are located along a beautiful mountain stream running through a lush rhododendron forest. The queen bunks and grill really bring camping to the next level but don’t let that fool you into thinking this is not the wilderness! A short hike from the site leads to a waterfall and swimming hole. Really a magical place. We will return!

We do not provide potable water or showers for tent campers but we allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available May-October. Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. Guest access Guests will be able to use the whole home and lake access in the backyard. There is ample parking in front paved driveway. You will be receiving a door code the day before your travel, it is a unique code that will only activate at time of check in. * Host will require a liability waiver after booking. Our HOA requires a tenant registration form filled out and submitted a week prior to arrival ( for last minute bookings, you will need to submit this form back as soon as I send it with your confirmation). *For lake fishing: You need a fishing license to fish in any lake in PA. Security and Game commission does show up to check so make sure you are in compliance. Host will not be responsible for you ticket violation if caught. Our dock will only allow up to 1000 lbs of weight at once, about 4-6 persons and less if carrying a boat to launch. Guests will wear life vests on the dock, boats and swimming on the lake. Guests will not leave any personal belongings on the dock or leave out chairs to avoid any loss of property. Guests will not release the floating dock off the secured attachment on the shore anchor. NO ACCESS to lake Spillway: At any time, do not attempt to swim or hang out on or near the lake spillway ( located to the right of propery) This is very dangerous and is a violation of our HOA rules. You will incur a fine from security dept if caught. I really appreciate your cooperation for your safety. Other things to note Please read " HOUSE RULES" before booking. We have a Well water system, bring your own preferred water bottle for drinking. We have a water filtration system for the house and a Brita if you would like to use it. We also have a queen sofa pull out bed in the living room and a futon in the largest room for when you need it. Our home is fully equipped w/ stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, dishware/flatware, drip coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, spices, bar seating. The house is located on two acres. There is a firepit on the property with plenty of wood available. There are hiking trails right behind the house. Campers are welcome to stay in the house or camp in the back yard. You can call it Executive camping. The house is old and was built in 1860 so it has an old house feel. It is fully functional with heat and hot water. There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with nice hot water and a kitchen for cooking. There is also a beautiful deck behind the house with a grill. Many of my guest says this is the best part of the house.. Its really inspiring to sit on the deck at night time and look at the stars. There is a lot to do in the area, when you book I can send you a list of things. There is a unique thermal geyser about 3 miles down the road that is a must see for example. Knoebbles amusement park is about a 20 minute drive if that is your thing.

Come stay at The Rusty Goat (our 2021 Keystone Bullet Crossfire Hybrid RV) parked on our property (The Deer Hive) in Solebury Township, PA. We are situated on one acre of property on a quiet street where the deer visit us almost daily. You may also spot red tail fox during your stay. You can relax and enjoy camping here near one of PA's best small towns, New Hope, PA. The RV will be parked in the driveway, but don't let that scare you. This gives you access to full hook-ups (Electric, Water, Sewer). You will have views of the serene, open grass property surrounded by large trees. There is plenty to explore nearby from nature trails, parks and reserves to shops, resturants and museums.
