From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us. While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you. Relax in a secluded, comfortable tent while enjoying the music of the frogs. The land is a mix of cleared and wooded areas with a half acre pond. In the spring the pond comes alive with the singing of frogs and the blinking of fireflies. Enjoy a campfire in the evening and a brilliant display of stars. The pond is nice for swimming or paddling. We provide a kayak or just sit on the dock or relax in the hammock. The village of Callicoon is a ten minute drive with great restaurants, a brewery, distillery, wine bar, grocery store, vintage shops, live music and a wonderful farmers market on the weekend. From town, you can also book a canoe trip on the Delaware River. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a 15 minute drive for great concerts and an interesting museum. There will be a list in the tent with suggested activities in the surrounding area if you choose to go exploring. We provide kindling, firewood, bedding, fresh eggs from our chickens and brownies from our kitchen. There is a small cupboard attached to the picnic table with everything you will need for meals on the campfire. A cooler is provided, please bring your own ice. There will be 2 large jugs of water at the site and additional water at the handwashing station on the back side of the outhouse. The site offers total privacy. Parking is within a couple minutes walk to the site and there will be a cart to help you transport your gear. We are a couple of longtime residents of this beautiful piece of the planet and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Outside, enjoy Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, fire pit with grill top, camp stove, cookware, utensils, tableware, seasonings, bug spray, potable mountain water, a private hot and cold on-demand shower and a private loo. The tent comfortably accommodates two adults and can accommodate up to four guests. Glamping cots for children or additional adults are available for rent. 1 night at Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat

From the very beginning to end of our stay at Shaggy and Kendra’s we were so well taken care of. The accommodations were clean, labeled, and perfectly prepared. Right when we walked in, we could tell they put a lot of care into making sure we had everything we could want and need for our stay. The hot tub and tv set up right next to the sauna is so well thought out with tables and water proof bags. We did the pizza extra and it was so delicious! There were plenty of kitchen utensils, and they wrote out instructions so we could make our pizza’s perfectly! There were also plenty of games, books and records for us to be away from our devices but not bored. We look forward to making this a regular getaway for us when we need to reconnect and unwind from the hustle and bustle. We can’t thank y'all enough!

Weekend Trip to Cabin Getaway

Andrea was very quick with responding to messages and the directions were very simple. Stone driveway through the field and very nice drive through the woods to get to the cabin. The cabin is very simple but cute. Outdoor sink and shower with solar powered heated water. The water was actually a little on the hot side, which surprised me but there's nothing like showering outdoors with the birds singing and seeing the trees and blue sky! Benches with the stone fire pit, hammock, a few walking paths. She has solar powered lights inside the cabin as well and outdoor light above the deck. They supply wood, but don't forget cash to put in their bucket and your fresh drinking water. This was my first solo trip as a female and the only thing that made me uncomfortable was there is no locks on the cabin doors.. I had my dog with me. She could have very easily nudge the one door handle open and gotten out, and I know I'm not the only one that would have the fear of someone or even a bear coming in through the night with that back door. Saying that, I had a great relaxing time with my dog and I definitely want to go back.

Really an awesome campsite. Incredibly scenic and well equipped. You can show up with very little gear and enjoy camping. Great covered area for cooking and eating, big glamping tent, and a nice bathroom/outhouse. The host is great and really takes care of the site. Best hipcamp I’ve been to, this is my second time.

This place was FABULOUS! A darling, cozy one-room cabin with all the comforts one could ask for. Shaggy went above and beyond from start to finish of our trip. Great communication, and they really thought of all the little things that make you go "oh wow!" and "so cool!". Shaggy even thought ahead of some rain that came in and brought us waterproof blankets for the outdoor couches (they dried super fast). Our dogs had a blast, great area to explore.

2 nights at The Dam House At Beaver Pond

We (2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs) had an amazing time camping at The Dam House At Beaver Pond! The location is beautiful and the camp has nearly everything you might need! The kids caught (and released) all types of fish, including some nice sized bass and a very first muskie! Pro tip- pack fish soap, a sponge, some towels and linens/pillows for the cots. The main bed was super comfy, with nice linens. Brendan was really accommodating and even offered to let us check in a day early due to the pending rain storm. He answered all of our questions ahead of time and greeted us upon arrival. Even though we live super close, we certainly will be back.

Weekend Trip to Pocono Cabin With No Name

We stayed for two nights at Katharina’s cabin with three adults and three kids under 5 and had a fantastic time. The cabin is very comfortable and wonderfully rustic. We loved hiking along the creek in the back and roasting smores over the fire.

There were so many little amenities that we weren’t even expecting, like setting out doggie bags and even treats for our dog, a citronella candle, all the dishes clean and set out, a wagon to carry our stuff up the hill. View was breathtaking, It was just amazing and I would love to stay again!

This was an amazing getaway. My boyfriend and I didn’t leave this place all weekend. The private dock has all you need for a fun day and making some great meals on the grill were a plus! It was private, relaxing and very cozy! We recommend this place 10/10!

The location is so peaceful and full of beauty, you are surrounded with the prettiest shades of green, from the trees to the ferns surrounding you and the pond is so pretty filled with lily pads. Weekend Trip to Daydreamin on Dyberry Creek

Very nice- it’s glamping meets regular primitive camping. This was perfect as a pride month and anniversary surprise for my girlfriend. She camps in tents bc “you (me) love camping and I love you” so this was a perfect meet in the middle. We loved being lazy in the crick on the raft and I especially loved bathing in the water and just being free in the buff! Quiet, close to stuff for food and drinks and perfect for a cute couple getaway. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if we’d taken our boys, Sunshine Daydream and Chance.

I had the best weekend getaway at the Hippy havens. Truly needed a break from reality and everything about this place was truly amazing! The attention to detail was top notch. Shaggy was constantly checking in, recommending places and was truly an amazing host. Narrowsburg is a 15 min drive away and I was stunned by how beautiful it was. I brought my dog who can be finicky around new dogs and humans which shaggy took in to high consideration which I couldn’t be more grateful for. I truly loved my stay. The hippy havens has a peace of my soul. Will be returning!
