Cabin on the Little Creek
Lovely cabin and treehouse. We fell asleep to the sound of the stream. The hosts are gracious and kind. My children loved exploring the farm, meeting the animals, picking blueberries, and playing with the basketball hoop and tether ball. The bathroom was clean with fresh flowers. We can’t wait to try the Maple Syrup we purchased. We will return next year!

A great place to stay!
Host was really sweet and welcoming! The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed, and the covered patio was a great place to sit in nature comfortably. The bathroom was very clean and easy to access. We loved exploring the farm and streams, and getting to see the animals.
We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again. Ask about the maple syrup!

Cabin on the Butternut Creek
We had a great stay at Journey's End farm. The cabin is clean and comfortable -- a nice break from the overly-electrified life. The folks at the farm are friendly and welcoming. It's a beautiful spot.
It's a great place for families to stay, in particular. Our plan was for the cabin to be a small part of our weekend's plan, with hiking in nearby parks the main event. But the kids loved the farm itself -- the animals, the woods by the Butternut Creek, cooking our food over a fire -- so much that the stay there has been the thing they talk about most!

Cabin on the Little Creek
Sweet camp cabin on a working farm.
Nice spacious dry cabin, gracious hosts and beautiful land. My 5 year old loved meeting the animals and hiking through their fields.
Despite heavy rain we were dry under the tented picnic area as we ate dinner.
We also went home with lots of maple syrup that they make on site. Yum.

After a long day at Legoland, the cabin was a nice retreat! The creek runs behind the cabin and the sound of the water was very relaxing. The bathroom was just a short walk from the cabin. Hosts were great! My son enjoyed touring the animals the next morning.

Cabin on the Butternut Creek
Perfect Weekend on the Farm
Our time at Journey’s End was both magical and relaxing. Kristin and the animals welcomed us warmly. The cabin at Butternut Creek was spacious, and we could hear the creek bubbling behind us. The outdoor space complete with a picnic table protected by a canvas canopy, fire circle with adjustable swivel grate and veggie garden front yard facilitated delicious meals snd long conversations under the stars. We were able to explore the trails snd meadows and enjoy the bounty from the gardens. We look forward to our next visit.

We look forward to returning
My family had a lovely time. The hosts are helpful and kind. They greet you, show you everything and answer any questions you have about your stay or the farm. The first night we slept in the cabin, which was spacious. There was a table and chairs, a desk, shelves and closet area. The next night we slept in the treehouse, which was fun. You can hear the sound of the creek from your bed. Having a campfire area with a covered table and washing area right there makes camping easy. You also have your own bathroom, which has electricity, an outlet, two showers, toilets, hooks for towels and shelves. The farm is magical and my children were invited to help care for the rabbit, cats, goats, chickens, chicks and cows in the morning and evenings. We went on a hike to one of the creeks and explored the woods. My children asked to go back before we even left and we hope to return soon!

Cabin on the Butternut Creek
Comfy, spacious cabin camping
I've known the hosts at Journey's End for close to 30 years, so I asked the friend who joined me on the trip to write an impartial review.
I stayed at Journey's End camp 2 weeks ago with a friend and my dog and had a wonderful time!
The cabin was great. Spacious with an area to play boardgames and plenty of room for sleeping.
Outside there was a beautiful wood picnic table covered by a sturdy tarp which made for great meal prep when there was rain.
There was a campfire circle with a fantastic Breeo Grill that we cooked all of our meals on. Wood and kindling was provided and was very easy to light.
Bathrooms were recently renovated and very clean with hot water and one would think you were using a bathroom in a high class hotel!
The hosts were very friendly and accomodating and gave great advice on hiking trails and provided a helpful lesson on spotting poison ivy.
They also provided fresh vegetables and eggs from their farm which were some of the freshest, and tastiest I've ever had!
The farm surrounding the camp area has happy goats, chickens and cows, all well taken care of and fenced in.
The area surrounding the farm has miles of beautiful trails including a swimming hole in the creek where we all cooled off on a hot day.
There are many cabins offered on the property and so many creative constructions that are really impressive and would be fun to spend the night.
There's quick access to any groceries or other items you might need, just 20 min down the road.
Blueberries are growing constantly on this property which we picked many of and added to our incredible breakfast meals!
Journey's End is a great find if you want to be up in the mountains, experience nature, eat fresh food and also have some comfortable amenities close by.
I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful chance to stay on a working farm. I loved hanging out with the goats and the baby chicks. The cabin was beautiful and clean, and it was so nice to listen the creek as I fell asleep. Amazing fireflies in the trees :)

Will book again!
Our stay at the Cabin on the Butternut Creek was everything we imagined and more! The hosts were attentive, kind and generous. They made us feel right at home. The property makes for a lovely getaway filled with as much or as little adventure as you please. The farm animals were the highlight of our stay, especially for our 15 year old who got to help out and explore. It was great to be able to let our dog have so much room to play and explore, as well. We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for the benefits of camping without the hassle of pitching a tent.

5 Stars for Cabin on ButternutCreek
Five stars for the Cabin on the Butternut Creek! We had everything we needed with plenty of beds, a roof over our heads, veery thrushes singing their ethereal songs above, great stars - even saw Jupiter and its four planets with just a spotting scope, and there were vegetable fields growing right outside our cabin. There was a nice sink outside for washing our dishes and a picnic table on a solid deck platform under an old school canvas cover. The clotheslines were great for drying our towels and getting that wonderful country air fresh clean scent. Firewood was supplied for a typical per-bundle fee at the nearby shed, easy to access, seasoned and ready to burn in a lovely fire ring, equipped with a height-adjustable cooking grate on a swivel- great for our burgers, hotdogs, kielbasa and chili… Wonderful to have a bathroom to ourselves for our group of 7 - two stalls, two showers, and two sinks met our needs. We filled up our water bottles at the spring fed cooling pond - the most delicious water I’ve ever tasted. The kids stayed in the “Treehouse” over the Butternut creek, a perfect fit for the 3 girls in our group. There are just so many good things to say about our stay. The kids (and we too) loved seeing the vegetable gardens and the goats, cows, chickens, and they even had a batch of one day old baby chicks and we even got lucky enough to milk a cow named Hazel! The creeks on-site were gorgeous on our hikes, and our doggoes loved running in the “olde mill dam lot” and cooling off in the creek. Day trips to Honesdale and Lake Wallenpaupack’s public beach were a lot of fun- the girls loved the Aura tie dye shop and the many boutiques in Honesdale and the adults enjoyed antiquing at A Pickers Find… Definitely have a headlamp or flashlight handy, as there can be tree roots and other obstacles at night, and as with any camping, remember your insect spray. The hosts were extremely accommodating and helpful at every turn, and we were even able to purchase farm fresh just picked veggies and eggs along with maple syrup harvested from the trees on the land. What could be better. We will definitely be back for another stay at Journey’s End Farm.
