This is our second time staying at Mary’s land. This time we came with my pets and they loved it. We had a lot of fun and had time to relax and get away from the city. We will definitely come back next year!

We absolutely love this place and Mary! We come at least once a year and wish we could come more often. It’s really awesome to be able to see all the animals and even go inside to pet them. There always seems to be animals having babies when we come. Last time it was a baby goat born the night before we got here and this time her dog had a bunch of puppies that marie brought out that we could play with. The camping down by the lake is perfect with free boats and fishing poles. And riding the horse and the horse cart is awesome and is only $30 for an hour.
Just make sure you drive slowly up the driveway to the house so you don’t hit any of her dogs!

What am experience to have on that wonderful farm.
It was my second time here with my family and we have an amazing time at the lake site.
We stayed there for 4 days with the most perfect weather.
Mary and her staff were very nice (As always) and welcoming.
We have fresh eggs to make for breakfast.
Fresh cow milk was also available.
We have fun with the horseback riding and the kids loves the miniature horse and carriage rides.
We will be back for another long week soon.

We camped on site 2. Matt and Mary were friendly and welcomed us to their property, and met us to drive back to the site. We had originally booked a different site, but they had a last minute opening for the pond site and asked if we would like to switch. The fireflies at night were mesmerizing! The site was beautiful, and the portapotty was a short walk away. The only negative to our trip was that the site across the pond from us was rented by what seemed to be a pretty large tent group, and they were fairly loud. We stayed 3 nights, and they were there for the first 2, and ran a loud generator each evening, until 3 or 4 in the morning. Not the fault of the hosts per se, but part of the reason we use Hipcamp is to get more solitude and peace when camping, so I suggest not allowing generators. We would have said something during our stay, but I was wary of complaining about a camper that then would have access to our site all day while we were exploring the area. The final night was peaceful and very lovely! The option to leave our bagged trash for a fee was very helpful so we didn’t have to find a nearby dumpster when we left.

There were really no mosquitoes around the lake site which was amazing. It was quiet and peaceful! Mary was exceptional showing us around and very helpful and answered us promptly! Will likely go again soon.

Excellent place and friendly host. We and the kids enjoyed every day of our stay. Horseback riding, animals, fishing, swimming - what can be better?! I even catched and released big bass !

It’s our favorite place to camp. Period. Mary is the best host ever! Her property is absolutely amazing, gorgeous and most importantly relaxing! We have been there many times and hope to go back as much as possible.

Beautiful, nature and animal-filled, fun environment for our family ! We loved our stay by the lake with fishing and boat rides and also visits with all of the barn animals with horse rides for the kids. Will definitely return. Thank you for opening up your space to us, Mary!

We stayed at site 7 with our 4 young kids and newfoundland dog and had the most wonderful time! Mary and her partner (sorry didn't catch his name) were warm hosts, introducing us to their beautiful dogs, granting us permission to visit with the barn animals whenever, and use the boats on their lake. We really enjoyed the view as we were able to overlook the lake but were set back enough that I wasn't worried about a kid wandering too close to the water without supervision. The site was on a little slant though so we just had to be tricky with setting up our big family tent and the benches for the table so we didn't tip. We saw lots of monarch caterpillars and enjoyed the quiet and dark nights camping out, we were so pleased with our stay and if ever back in that area would definitely camp there again!

What a wonderful piece of property to stay at with our truck camper. We camped in the upper hay field along a tree line. It was quiet, secluded enough for my wife and I. The spot was not to far from the pond juts a short walk. They call it a pond it is more of a lake and loaded with large mouth bass. Mary and Matt were great hosts and we would definitely tell anyone to stay there. If your loud and a slob this is not the place for you stay at a commercial campground. Pack out what you pack in, respect the property and enjoy what it offers.

Staying here was absolute heaven. Mary was super kind in answering questions I had prior to our trip. My husband and I met with Matt when we first arrived, the pair can't be described as anything other than just true good people. They were a joy to talk to and be around, above and beyond accommodating.
The site was gorgeous, we stayed right on the pond, hubby had great luck fishing while I paddled around and swam. I'll swim in anything but for anyone unsure the water was bafflingly clean, I needed a bit to clean something and scooped it up in a water bottle, literally clear and that was after heavy rains. Beautiful walking trail thru the woods up to my absolute favorite part of the trip, the barn full of animals.
Matt took the time to tell us their names and just cool info on them, he even gave me a bucket of food to give out to a few of them.
This was my first hip camp experience, but to be honest I will have a hard time booking anywhere else next time we go camping, I really don't think anything could live up to our beautiful weekend here.
Matt and Mary we both thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us and others, and for taking in and caring for the animals that need you. Love to Scuba Steve!

So, if you don't like free-range chickens (and their eggs), animal-filled barns, equine therapy, friendly barn cats, or dogs (big ones, little ones, and in-between ones), you will hate this place. If you think over a hundred caught fish in a weekend is a low turnout, if frogs serenading you to sleep and geese helping you wake up is annoying, or if swimming in a spring-fed pond is yucky, this probably is not the place for you. However, if you are all of those things, you are probably a miserable human being who doesn't have any business camping :) BUT.... if you do like those things then give this place a shot. Mary has a great farm and loves hosting and sharing it with others. Ali does riding lessons, loves her job, and is really good at it. And the animals love to be loved. Nearby is a the Kool Cow for some great local ice cream and if you get tired of playing on the farm Salt Springs State Park is nearby. Thanks Mary.... it was great!!!

We loved our two night stay here!! The host Mary was so welcoming and awesome. The farm was so unique, and our kids (4 & 6) loved getting to know all the animals!! We had a camper van and ended up doing the spot by the barn. Electric hook up was great, gorgeous views! We did the canoe, fished, and the kids did the horseback pony riding too around the indoor barn area, which was super large. Also as an aside, we both had strong cell coverage too. We bought eggs & firewood and overall had a delightful time here. The host was very helpful and quick to respond.

Mary and her farm are amazing. As soon as we arrived, she immediately began to introduce us to her pets. The farm has horses, sheep, llamas, ponies and many more. then we went to the selected rest point. Also, for a small fee, they brought us a huge pile of firewood (you can't buy that much firewood at Walmart). Silence, a lake, a huge number of stars in the night sky. we went fishing, each of us, including the children, caught a fish, which brought a lot of emotions. Mary was very welcoming, always offering help. There were no mosquitoes, there was no stuffiness in the evening and there was a slight coolness. we will definitely try to come back again. Thank you Mary for a wonderful stay.

Best place I have camped in 7 years. (Besides the weather)
We were camping by the lake side and got to fish all day while it was raining.
My kids and family enjoyed the petting farm and horse back riding and pony riding.
I am planning another trip soon.
Mary and her team were very welcoming and friendly.

The perfect farm stay camp especially if you have small children with you. Mary and her husband are extremely generous and friendly but they also give you privacy. My 3 yr old daughter and I got to camp next to goats and the free range alpacas. It seemed we had the barn to ourselves for visits with chickens and 2 barn cats roaming about. Very friendly and calm miniature donkeys and horses for petting. Unfortunately we couldn't stay our entire planned trip but I'm hoping we come back in the fall. The farm has beautiful scenery especially the rolling mountain view behind the cattle pen. You likely won't find anything like this anywhere close. Very special place and awesome hosts.

We stayed at Mary’s place for a weekend family camping trip. The camp site we chose was perfect, Mary brought us wood and fresh eggs, and explained al about the animals. We had a wonderful time enjoy gin our private campsite, and interacting with tall the animals. We would certainly recommend this place, and hop to return soon!!

This farm camping is amazing. A must camping destination this summer. Large and very private campsite. Great combinations of forest and feilds. Beautiful clear water pond full of fish. My kids had a great time see and petting the animals. Mary was a great host. Very welcoming and took time to talk with us and talk about the animals. We had a great time and look forward to our next trip there.

We had a wonderful weekend despite it being cold and rainy. We were immediately greeted by Oreo and Twix, the two donkeys that wander around freely, greeting everyone like big dogs. Mary was so nice to show us around and introduce us to all the animals. We loved their very original names and especially got a kick out of the sweet, rambunctious, 13 week old puppy.
The property was beautiful - we enjoyed hiking and spending time near the pond. We brought our trailer so stayed at the site at the bottom of the hill, but it was easy to get to and was very secluded.
The only thing that would have been nicer was if the grass at our site had been mowed - this was really only an annoyance because it rained so much the first night so was very wet.
We would definitely recommend Mary’s place if you are looking for a peaceful getaway.

This was the most magical camping experience my boyfriend and I have ever had! Mary and her husband Matt were nothing but wonderful during our four night stay, and their generosity and kind spirits made the trip that much better! We lucked out and were the only ones on the property during our stay, and we set up camp right near this beautiful pond on their huge 140+ acre farm property. There were beautiful hiking trails all throughout the woods, and we loved being able to hike up to the barn every day to spend time with the animals they have (and most importantly for me the dozens of horses they have)! We were able to eat farm fresh eggs every morning, ride horses, feed and pet all the animals whenever we chose, go fishing and canoeing on the pond, and see so many cool kinds of wildlife, including beavers and salamanders that occupy the pond we camped near! We bathed in the pond and were provided a portable toilet tent at our site. There was a fire pit for cooking as well (and the firewood they provide for $10 is the biggest load of firewood I’ve ever seen so it’s definitely worth the add on). The local town is about 10 minutes from their property and has plenty of shops for supplies (grocery stores, rite aid, etc). It is super dark and quiet at night and we loved stargazing in the open fields and area by our site. The sites are all spread out and felt very private (especially since we were the only guests on the property during our stay). I seriously cannot say enough nice things about this dreamy camping experience! I have never been so happy to write a review for something in my life!
