All lodging sites have heating for your comfort and are available year round! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim).
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

Come join us in the beautiful forested landscape of Central Pennsylvania. Located a mere 20 miles south of Penn State University, we are surrounded by the many amenities Central PA has to offer.
We are welcoming to LGBTQ+ campers as well as all ethnicities.
Pitch a tent on a quiet site and drop a line into one of our two trout streams crossing the campground. Hang a hammock between two towering poplar trees surrounded by flowering rhododendron. Or pull up in your camper and relax before and after a Penn State Football game under the blue and white sky. We have small, secluded sites to get away from it all, as well as conjoined sites to accommodate larger groups.
On property we have bathrooms, hot showers, and a recreation hall with free ping pong, board games, and billiards.
For a fee, we also have firewood, electricity, and a large event tent for rent.
Campers must be less than 25 feet.
Generators are not allowed.
Music should not reach outside your own site after 9pm.
There are no water hookups.
Vehicle noise is audible from route 350, especially on Friday afternoons.
Noise is diminished at sites further back from route 350.
Our sites are wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms and showers do have one step up into them.
Walk to Snappy's 24-hour convenience store to use their free Wi-Fi, buy bags of ice, or to pickup snacks and a sub in the attached Snappy's Grille. An ice cream stand and restaurant are within walking distance.
We require a minimum two nights stay for the recognized holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Red Maple Campsite: A large luxury private site that includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for a maximum 10 guests with on-site parking space that is 90ft long and 20ft wide, for an RV or 6-8 cars and overflow parking for several more cars. It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. This site can handle several tents and has two picnic tables, two portable toilets, a scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, a charcoal grill, and on-site string lights.
Aspen RV Campsite: A medium private luxury drive through site great for RVs, rooftop tents, pop ups or camper vans. This site includes potable water and electricity on site, designed with water and electric hookups for a single camping vehicle, maximum 6 people. I'm his grandson, a documentary filmmaker helping to make ends meet by sharing this glorious space with Hip Campers.
Caring for the land:
Please do not collect your own firewood on the land. That wood is decomposing and contributing to the health of the forest, providing numerous habitats for bugs. As we are going through a temporary pause on selling firewood, you can purchase firewood at nearby Limerick Hardware.
If you want a flush toilet:
While we are glad to offer a composting toilet, if you really want a flush toilet, Wawa is just an approximately seven-minute drive (depending on one of the two traffic lights in town).
Note on dogs:
We love dogs! We run a dog-sitting business, so there may be a pack (2-5) of dogs that come through the woods with us on walks. All dogs we sit are friendly towards humans.
Nearby recreation: The Perkiomen Creek trail is just a mile away, perfect for biking and hiking. Cabin Craft Outdoor Adventures, just 7 minutes away, rents kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and tubes.
Food recs:
Thai Spice is ten minutes away. Trouble's End brewing is 15 minutes away in Collegeville, with delicious beer and a Spicy Chicken sandwich. For breakfast, we recommend Snoozy's cafe in historic downtown Schwenksville.

Just outside the quaint town of Austin sits a vivid reminder of one of Pennsylvania's worst disasters – the Austin Flood. In 1909, the dam was constructed on Freeman Run to power the Bayless Papermill downstream. Many wondered if the dam was safe. On September 30, 1911, Austin found out. Poor construction, coupled with torrential rain, resulted in the dam's collapse. Nearly 400 million gallons of water were released, destroying everything for 8 miles. At least 78 people perished in the tragedy. It was the second worst flood disaster in Pennsylvania's history and sixth worst dam failure in U.S. history. The tragedy sparked new legislation to improve dam safety, and the Austin Dam was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The ruins of the dam still stand, surrounded by a 76-acre park, as a tribute to the lives lost in the Austin Flood. Don't miss one of Potter County's best kept secrets!

Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim).
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

Come join us in the beautiful forested landscape of Central Pennsylvania. Located a mere 20 miles south of Penn State University, we are surrounded by the many amenities Central PA has to offer.
We are welcoming to LGBTQ+ campers as well as all ethnicities.
Pitch a tent on a quiet site and drop a line into one of our two trout streams crossing the campground. Hang a hammock between two towering poplar trees surrounded by flowering rhododendron. Or pull up in your camper and relax before and after a Penn State Football game under the blue and white sky. We have small, secluded sites to get away from it all, as well as conjoined sites to accommodate larger groups.
On property we have bathrooms, hot showers, and a recreation hall with free ping pong, board games, and billiards.
For a fee, we also have firewood, electricity, and a large event tent for rent.
Campers must be less than 25 feet.
Generators are not allowed.
Music should not reach outside your own site after 9pm.
There are no water hookups.
Vehicle noise is audible from route 350, especially on Friday afternoons.
Noise is diminished at sites further back from route 350.
Our sites are wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms and showers do have one step up into them.
Walk to Snappy's 24-hour convenience store to use their free Wi-Fi, buy bags of ice, or to pickup snacks and a sub in the attached Snappy's Grille. An ice cream stand and restaurant are within walking distance.
We require a minimum two nights stay for the recognized holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. This site can handle several tents and has two picnic tables, two portable toilets, a scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, a charcoal grill, and on-site string lights.

I'm his grandson, a documentary filmmaker helping to make ends meet by sharing this glorious space with Hip Campers.
Caring for the land:
Please do not collect your own firewood on the land. That wood is decomposing and contributing to the health of the forest, providing numerous habitats for bugs. As we are going through a temporary pause on selling firewood, you can purchase firewood at nearby Limerick Hardware.
If you want a flush toilet:
While we are glad to offer a composting toilet, if you really want a flush toilet, Wawa is just an approximately seven-minute drive (depending on one of the two traffic lights in town).
Note on dogs:
We love dogs! We run a dog-sitting business, so there may be a pack (2-5) of dogs that come through the woods with us on walks. All dogs we sit are friendly towards humans.
Nearby recreation: The Perkiomen Creek trail is just a mile away, perfect for biking and hiking. Cabin Craft Outdoor Adventures, just 7 minutes away, rents kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and tubes.
Food recs:
Thai Spice is ten minutes away. Trouble's End brewing is 15 minutes away in Collegeville, with delicious beer and a Spicy Chicken sandwich. For breakfast, we recommend Snoozy's cafe in historic downtown Schwenksville.

Just outside the quaint town of Austin sits a vivid reminder of one of Pennsylvania's worst disasters – the Austin Flood. In 1909, the dam was constructed on Freeman Run to power the Bayless Papermill downstream. Many wondered if the dam was safe. On September 30, 1911, Austin found out. Poor construction, coupled with torrential rain, resulted in the dam's collapse. Nearly 400 million gallons of water were released, destroying everything for 8 miles. At least 78 people perished in the tragedy. It was the second worst flood disaster in Pennsylvania's history and sixth worst dam failure in U.S. history. The tragedy sparked new legislation to improve dam safety, and the Austin Dam was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The ruins of the dam still stand, surrounded by a 76-acre park, as a tribute to the lives lost in the Austin Flood. Don't miss one of Potter County's best kept secrets!

Campsite - we loved the campsite. First, we loved the privacy of having 360 view of trees. It definitely beats crowded campsites nearby. Second, they have a swing which was fun to swing on. The Fire pit was also great and we loved how many picnic tables there were. Campsite also had about 1 bar lte Verizon but I had no issues loading anything on my phone. We were able to watch movies which was what I was hoping for! I 10/10 recommend camping here

Quiet for a farm . Nice views of rolling hills and farm country. Stayed at the Barn site which is next to a small pond. In the morning , I was greeted by several friendly barn cats and a curious roster hanging out with the cats :). This site close to porta potty. I would stay here again. Very relaxing, peaceful and clean. There are two other sites more secluded and farther from the owners home and they looked nice too.

We had a great experience staying at this campsite. The views were amazing and the whole place felt peaceful and well-maintained. The owner was there when we arrived and he was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. He made sure everything was set up properly before he left, and we felt safe and comfortable the entire time.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay and a perfect spot to relax and camp. We would definitely come back again in the future.

Martín was an excellent host. The tent campsite is level, clear and quiet. Martin accommodated our need to fit an off-road trailer by allowing us to camp in the front field which still adjoins mine run but is closer to the road. We had a lovely evening with a fire pit and the sounds of the water and the "singing" frogs.

This site and host exceeded our expectations. We booked the riding ring sites, but ended up setting up at Wildberry Rest. The site was just large enough to fit a 20ft camper, an SUV with tent attached and more, along with the bell tent at the site. It has a lovely view and includes a fire pit, propane grill, and outdoor furniture. Access to water, electricity, and ice is available a short walk down to the barn.
Our host Greg, was incredible as he bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. He offered great recommendations for activities and dining options. We appreciated his flexibility for our check-in and out days.
One thing that makes this spot stand out from others is the access to all the friendly farm animals. You can get your animal fix in with the cute goats, sheep, chickens, horses, and pigs. Our dogs loved off-leash play time with their new barnyard friends.
The area has so much to see and do, whether it be outdoor activities or shopping/dining experiences, you won't be bored! Everything is within about a 30 min drive (Super Walmart and a grocery store are a ten minute drive).
We are making this place a yearly tradition because we had such a wonderful time.

Josh's spot is spectacular for solitude. It is on the edge of the forest at the end of loop of spacious "camps". The road in is definitely rocky, but we managed with our 26' class C just fine going slow and steady. The spot had all the amenities listed and they worked as they should. Depending on what time of year you go, you should be prepared for it to be wet. There are creeks surrounding the property and the parking and campfire areas can hold some water. Overall a great experience and hope to be back again soon!

Nice host, very helpful. Great firewood and the bathrooms are serviced regularly which was a big bonus. Campsite clean upon arrival - Went for one night, stayed for two. Would return. Thanks.

The view was amazing n peace n quiet we slept well it was cold but we was prepare we had our heater with propane the kids love it bathroom was great clean portal flushing potty it was was windy but we still made it thru stay u just gotta have right tent if u going cause wind is strong

we love this campsite! the views are always incredible and the non-potable campfire drowning water and campfire ring is always appreciated. this is our second time staying and not the last - we like to venture into the woods below the sites and gather wood for the fire, the trails down there are very cool. just watch out for hunters! we didn’t see any this time but i saw some last time in november. wear orange if you’re worried!
