Huge campsite and definitely accommodating!!! It's up higher than I thought it was from the river though but they definitely have many other beautiful campsites! Everyone was super nice and welcoming!! I'm excited they have cabins to offer also!! I can't wait to go back

The staff was good, no issue there. The site was nice & clean.
I was there with my son and clearly there were many families there. A weekend might not be the best option due to drinking, fireworks set off after midnight, etc.
just something to keep in mind if you don’t want to deal with that.
We were really looking forward to a peaceful camping getaway based on the photos and previous reviews, but our experience was nothing like what we expected.
The campsite is much closer to a very busy road than it appears. Traffic was constant, and large trucks even shook our camper at times. It definitely did not feel like a quiet, wooded retreat.
When we arrived, there was extremely loud music blasting from a large group, and it continued around the restroom area as people came and went. Despite signs posted throughout the campground stating there is no noise after midnight, that rule was not enforced at all. Our first night, we were kept awake until around 3:00 a.m. by loud music with heavy bass, along with children running and screaming through the campground. I never imagined I'd need noise-canceling headphones for a camping trip.
While it's nice that showers and restrooms are provided, the facilities were disappointing. The first restroom stall was out of toilet paper for days, and the showers were dirty. We also found broken glass, bottle caps, and other litter while walking our dogs, which was concerning.
We checked in on Sunday but ended up leaving 24 hours before our reservation ended because we simply weren't enjoying our stay.
The on-site restaurant was also disappointing. We sent back two drinks because they were poorly made. The shrimp tacos came with only two small shrimp and slaw, and the side salad had an unpleasant liquid dressing that made it inedible.
The Outpost is a beautiful spot right along the Delaware River, and we had a wonderful stay. Our site down by the stream was genuinely unique peaceful, private, and easily the highlight of our trip. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the water was exactly the nature escape we were after. The riverfront setting is gorgeous, with easy access to the water for paddling, and the host was friendly, responsive, and accommodating throughout even sorting out firewood for us late in the evening. It's a scenic, well-located basecamp and we'd happily come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing riverside getaway.

Overall we had a great experience at The Out post. The staff could t have been more friendly and helpful and the site is picture perfect!
One thing I would mention about the bookings - the online bookings don't seem to get coordinated. When we arrived at 3:00 the office was closed, no one answered the phone, and there was another RV in our site. Luckily the groundskeeper happened by and told us to take another empty site and that he would sort it out with the owner. We spoke with the other guests who were in our site who said they extended their stay and weren't told someone else had booked the spot.
Another thing I'd point out is that the woman's' bathhouse could really use some attention. Only one of the two toilets worked the whole 4 days we were there and the showers were less than inviting.
Perfect set up for tent camping and the amenities were fairly clean. Right next to the river and to many local historic pictures perfect spots just a few minutes drive away. Stayed with my senior pup and it was perfect for her.

The view of the river captures everyone’s vision of a peaceful nature scape. Site was wide and clean. Nieghbors were extremely nice and helpful. For those self sufficient individuals not needing tons of things to do it was great. Local store filled in with what was needed. Only downside was the limited WiFi which only covered the parking lot. Will be returning in the fall to see the autumn colors.

Excellent river view, no cell service, quiet during the week, little hectic on weekends. Camp provided wifi was great. Rafting right from the campsite is pretty cool. Lots of fly fishing.

Lean To River Overlook
It was a great time! Very safe with other campers nearby, attentive staff & a beautiful spot! Service was spotty for awareness but great to step away from the business of life for a few nights. They have rafting available, hiking nearby & a nice restaurant with live music just down the road. Would recommend!
Amazing lean-to camping experience right on the Delaware River at The Outpost Resort in Pond Eddy, New York. The riverfront views, peaceful environment, and beautiful scenery made it the perfect getaway. The campsites were clean, well-maintained, and close to great outdoor activities like fishing and kayaking. The amenities were convenient, and the hospitality from Erin and the team was outstanding — they were very welcoming, friendly, and made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing nature escape.
What an amazing surprise when we pulled up to our RV spot…the view of the river was spectacular! The Outpost resort was quiet (even with a large group of BMW motorcycle riders)! We enjoyed the Outpost restaurant right across the street…delicious Mojitos! And to our surprise, just before dusk, across the river were 5 deer munching away on the grass and a mama bear and her two cubs playing in the trees. Such a site to see! We absolutely loved this campground and we will be back!

The Outpost was great. We had it all to ourselves. The fish outsmarted us, so we will be back to take care of some unfinished business.

Easy access to a great river front RV camp site. Check-in with host was smooth. Property was clean and well kept. Quiet and peaceful days and evenings. No issues. Definitely a place to return next season.
The folks at the Outpost were super helpful and friendly. The called ahead to see when we would be checking in and if we needed firewood delivered to our site. Once we arrived they asked if we would rather be on the river instead of in the woods and, since we had no idea of the layout of the place, we said yes. The river camping is the way to go at this place! Great views, lovely sound of the water, and close to everything. It's also very nice that the Outpost just happens to have its own restaurant, which was convenient. We had a great stay and definitely put it on our list of places to come back to.

The Outpost Outdoor Resort is a true gem for anyone who loves the outdoors. The location is absolutely stunning — most of the tent sites are right on the water, offering peaceful views and the perfect backdrop for fishing or just relaxing by the shore. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and keeps the campground in great shape, making the entire stay feel comfortable and inviting.
If you love fishing, this is definitely the place to be. The water access is incredible, and the atmosphere is calm and refreshing — exactly what you want when you’re trying to escape and unwind.
I’ll definitely be back, just hoping they reconsider that guest policy in the future.
The Outpost Campground was absolutely amazing! The entire area was spotless and well-kept, making it a perfect getaway spot. Our campsite was right on the river’s edge, offering beautiful views and the calming sound of the water. It felt peaceful, relaxing, and connected to nature. This Delaware River front RV campsite is not for everyone. Stay away if you want lots of planned activities and golf cards whizzing by all the time! Stay away if you hate rafting down an amazing river! Stay away if you love hearing loud music from 5 campsites away! Stay away if beautiful river-front scenery is too boring for you. Stay away if campfires by the river during a star filled night is just too mundane. Stay away if you hate it when campsite staff make every effort to ensure your stay is great. Yeah, this place sucks, stay away! But seriously, what's not to love!
