Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. Elmlock was named by MJ's Grandfather for the majestic Elm trees that once graced the property and banks of the Tulpehocken Stream passing through the Union Canal lock. These beautiful trees were devastated by the Dutch Elm Disease in the early 20th century. Elmlock and the surrounding area was surveyed by non other than George Washington as plans were formulating to build a canal system to join the Schuylkill and Susquehanna Rivers. The General stayed with his friend Captain Michael Lei on the adjacent farm, once known as the Tulpehocken Manor when visiting the area. The ruins of one of the canal locks remains on the Elmlock property adjacent to the camping area. The 1838 stone farmhouse was built by the Spengler family and acquired by MJ's Grandfather in 1913. MJ's pottery studio is a local "Town Barn" that was relocated piece by piece to Elmlock by MJ"s brother, a Historic Restoration Specialist, in 1974. He also restored the Bake Oven on the property's Summer Kitchen. Our property features an historic canal lock from 1828 Union Canal and a stream that runs through it. There is a RR track that runs just south of our camp about 10acres away For campers who love to watch or hear trains you'll have plenty of opportunity to do so!  You can enjoy fishing and playing in the water, which is fresh, clean limestone water from a nearby quarry. We also have two small goats on the property. Farm land surrounds the property, wooded area and cattle nearby. This is a secluded property but less than a mile from Rt 422. You can bike along the many back roads nearby!  We also offer pottery classes, drawing classes, painting classes, and also Medicinal wild plants walk etc. for an additional fee.  See our extras below if you are interested! Campsite #3 (High Site) Site 3 is above the river and looks over Hawk Mountain and the farm. It is private with beautiful views. Unreal full moon gazing............. Sunrise, Sunset, Moon rise, Bird watching, all very visible from this site. Car accessible, no walking to campsite required. At all sites, different seasons bring different activities. Spring: Kayaking, fishing and hiking. Summer: hiking, fishing in the pond, cooling off in the swim hole. Site 1 ,2 ,3 and 4 have picnic tables. All Sites have charcoal grills. Will need your own charcoal, lighter fluid and foil for grate. Site 3 also has a grill attached to pit. Please be specific at booking if you are tent or RV camping and approx. length of RV. We book rain or shine so please be prepared according to weather forecast. What to expect.. This is a farm with many animals so please be aware that the rooster may crow very early. The goats may be noisy at anytime day or night. Most cases they are quiet at night but not always. The cows bellow and horses will whinny throughout the day. Farms also have farm smells so be aware it is not always pleasant. For the most part the campfires over ride the farm smells which is great!! Please check our add ons. We will have fire wood available for purchase if you need it. Farm fresh eggs and seasonal garden vegetables may also be available. Amish baked goods may be purchased when available. We are 5 minutes from a 5000 acre park that boasts miles of marked trails for horseback riding, hiking or biking through rough or paved terrain. There is a creek for swimming also. Bring your own horses. We have stalls available or set up your own paddock next to your site. We have hay and straw available for purchase.

In 1990, Scott and Sue Miller purchased a 16-acre farm in Elizabethtown, Pa with the intentions of starting a select cut Christmas tree farm. 15,000 trees were purchased and planted on the farm. Six years later, the first tree was sold and since then, the farm has expanded its operations to Bernville, Pa. Camp on our 16 acre Christmas tree farm in an Amish neighbors with horses. Within 30 minute drive to Hershey park, Mt Gretna , Lebanon, Lancaster, Harrisburg, York. Enjoy hiking and biking trails nearby and the many attractions. We have excellent cell reception on our farm. Great view for star gazing and sunsets. Firewood available for purchase. We have a stone parking lot for RV campers. Two sites can also accommodate RV’s. We will reserve these sites. Tent campers can set up in the trees and lanes. An outdoor portable toilet is available and water is available at an outside spigot. We are open April through October. We have 6 sites available with fire pits. You are able to drive and park next to the site. Sites are available first come first served. Four persons per site additional $5 per night fee for extra guests. We sell Miller’s Christmas tree farms stickers. Our sites have excellent cell coverage. In the event we are not home when you arrive, there is a site map on the light pole near the porta pot. We will try to notify you in advance if any sites are taken.

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We really enjoyed our Amish Farm stay. We booked last minute and arrived after dark. Karen was very responsive. The sheep were bleating all night which takes a bit to get used to. In the morning our kids wantered over and the farmer let them bottle feed some newborns and gave them a tour. My wife caught up with them for part of the tour. Fire pit was nice and cool that they include wood.

This site and host exceeded our expectations. We booked the riding ring sites, but ended up setting up at Wildberry Rest. The site was just large enough to fit a 20ft camper, an SUV with tent attached and more, along with the bell tent at the site. It has a lovely view and includes a fire pit, propane grill, and outdoor furniture. Access to water, electricity, and ice is available a short walk down to the barn. Our host Greg, was incredible as he bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. He offered great recommendations for activities and dining options. We appreciated his flexibility for our check-in and out days. One thing that makes this spot stand out from others is the access to all the friendly farm animals. You can get your animal fix in with the cute goats, sheep, chickens, horses, and pigs. Our dogs loved off-leash play time with their new barnyard friends. The area has so much to see and do, whether it be outdoor activities or shopping/dining experiences, you won't be bored! Everything is within about a 30 min drive (Super Walmart and a grocery store are a ten minute drive). We are making this place a yearly tradition because we had such a wonderful time.

Anne’s site was stunning even before bloom season. The space felt private and pastoral, with wide open skies, and charming neighbors: sheep, the rare horses, chickens, and her sweet dog. We had such a lovely stay at the farm! Even though we visited during the off-season while seeing family nearby, we had a wonderful time. Greg was an incredibly accommodating host, frequently checking in to ensure we had everything we needed for a successful trip. The greenhouse was a total highlight—it’s a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast with fresh farm eggs and delicious well water. We highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area, and we’ll definitely be back when the weather warms up!

He met me, drove me to site, and offered to help where I was unsure. I even got to feed the goats the next day before heading on my way. Lots of land!
