If you're looking to truly unplug, this is your spot. We pulled in and immediately felt like the rest of the world just... disappeared. No noise, no neighbors, no light pollution — just trees, birdsong, and the kind of quiet you forget exists until you find it again.
The seclusion here is REAL. We felt completely tucked away and private the entire stay, which made every campfire feel that much more magical.
And can we talk about the outhouse? We know, we know — but hear us out. It was clean, well-kept, and honestly a pleasant surprise. Zero complaints from our group, which is saying something!
Pro tip from us to you: BRING YOUR HEADLAMP (or three). It gets seriously, beautifully, delightfully dark out here at night. We're talking can't-see-your-hand-in-front-of-your-face dark. Perfect for stargazing, a little spooky for midnight snack runs.
We paired our stay with a hike up Pulpit Rock on the Appalachian Trail — about 20 minutes away — and it was absolutely stunning. Panoramic views for miles. 10/10 would recommend as a day trip.
