Sacchara is my favorite local camping spot. Always clean, and very quiet. It’s a perfect spot for me for a quick weekend getaway. Nothing but the sound of the creek, and the critters. Perfect.

Always a good time camping at Sacchara. Did an overnighter Saturday into Sunday. Peace and quiet, the creek is pretty much the only noise. Won’t be long and i’ll be back, i’m sure

Another wonderful trip to Martins. I always find myself drawn here, it’s secluded, it’s beautiful, and Martin is always super nice and accommodating. My only regret was not having taken more pictures. 🙂

Haven’t been to Martins property in about a year, it was such a great time. Martin is a great host, and the property is safe and secluded. No complaints, watched a beautiful sunset and sunrise, with the soft sounds of the creek twenty yards from my tent. 😁

Martin's property is gorgeous, clean and he was a great host. My girlfriend and I had a lovely weekend to ourselves at the Sacchara site, the wheelbarrow provided to help walk in our gear was a welcome amenity. Plenty of great trails in the area, even walking the property was a delight. It's close to Skippack, a great little town to walk with plenty of shops and sights to see. Hoping to visit again next year!

This spot is easy to find and quite large, we fit 2 tents and had space for more if needed.
I love that there is seating, a table and fire pit all there. You really don’t need to bring much.
This was my second stay at this camp this time I brought my friends and we had a blast.
Thanks for another great stay.

We had a wonderful time on Martin's land at the Sacchara site! Everything was as described, and although there were campers at the other tent-camping spot, we couldn't hear them at all. The trail from the parking area to the site is flat and takes 4-5 minutes to walk, the campfire ring is big and beautiful, and there are trails to explore that we didn't have time for. I'm looking forward to returning so I can see where those trails go!
On Sunday, we had the chance to bikeride on the Perkiomen, which I highly recommend! Next time, we'd like to do more of that and check out the boat rental places so we can explore the creek.

This was a great camp site. It’s secluded and my 8 year old and I had a great time exploring the land and stream. LOTS of firewood and just a really peaceful experience. Also town is very close and there was a nice breakfast place to cap off the weekend.

Martin was such a wonderful host! He replied promptly with answers to any questions, gave great directions for the property, and had plenty of firewood for purchase in good quantity for a reasonable price. The campground was a little further from the car than we expected, but it yielded wonderful privacy along a babbling creek that made the trip. Martin also provided a wheelbarrow to carry our things to and from the car, which made it no issue. The property is beautiful, we watched chipmunks play all weekend and deer walk along the river in the morning. More than enough room for our (huge) tent, fireplace with many chairs, our hammock and anything else you might need. The site also has some log seating and a small wicker love seat that was a big hit for naps. The weather and fall leaves were wonderful, we’re thinking about returning in the spring!

Beautiful site with plenty of firewood available! Overgrown grass made it tough to find spots to lay down tents, but that was the only concern.

My friend and I had a lovely time camping! The campsite was so serene, with a beautiful creek flowing next to my tent and there were a lot of trails nearby to access like the Perkiomen trail. Also—The best part was one of the guys helped changed our flat tire. We are so appreciative of that kind gesture!

Had a great time! There are 3 sites available, we were in site Lindera. Had the whole camp area to ourselves, the 2 other sites were vacant at the time. Great site with flat, open, spot for a tent. There is an outhouse available close. Outhouse took a little to get used to as it's a compost toilet, but there is a Wawa like 10 min away if don't want to venture using it. Beautiful creek where we caught frogs, salamanders, and crayfish! Sites are private and secluded. Only minor issue, which wasn't that bad, was distant traffic noise, but at night it was pretty quiet. Would highly recommend, and will check out one of the other sites next time I go back!

The spot is fantastic, it has a nice bench and fire pit. I spent one night and really enjoyed myself.
It is a bit of a walk back to the camp, I didn’t realize until I was there although it is noted in the listing, I just missed it. I will absolutely be back to stay another night, I think I’ll just pack lighter.

It was my 13 year old daughter’s first camping experience and it was great. Our site felt extremely private and comfortable. Outhouse was a short walk away and clean - but we also felt private enough to just use the woods. The creek was low, but perfect for us to walk in and have fun catching crawfish like I did when I was a kid. The surrounding little towns have a lot of charm if you wander out. Overall we had an excellent time and I plan to return.

My best friend and I took her toddler (almost 3) camping here for the first time. We had such a mixed experience.
Good
The campsite (Saccara) was lovely! We easily fit a large 2 person, a small 2 person, and could have fit a third small tent. The toddler loved playing in the creek.
Meh
We had some questions on arrival but the host was not available. The host messaged us 2 hours before check-out the next morning stating he forgot to send us the orientation info which would have addressed all of our questions.
Bad
We booked FULLY UNDERSTANDING there was a dog-related business on the property. That's fine, we love dogs. HOWEVER. We had two people come down the trail to the site at 9:45pm well after dark. The toddler was asleep, I grabbed a light and headed down the trail to meet them. They immediately blinded me with their headlamps, didn't identify/introduce themselves, and allowed 2 medium sized dogs to jump all over me. I love dogs, but this was not a friendly greeting (there was snarling). Neither were leashed or would come when called. One dog proceeded down the trail and got into some of our gear. I let them know we had a child sleeping at the site, They grabbed the dogs and left. The only thing they said at all was "oh there's a kid?", nothing else. It was strange and unsettling.
Such a beautiful site and close to home, but I'd think hard about returning. There are many more people about the property than just the host and other campers.

I’ve camped a lot my entire life, and this is one of my favorite spots after my first visit this weekend, about 100 yards away from everything nearby, very quiet surroundings, beautiful setting, and nicely kept. The provided wheelbarrow was helpful to bring our things from the car to the camping area. Will be back!

I stayed 2 nights on Martins land. It was blissfully peaceful. I enjoyed the sound of the creek in the background. I saw a woodpecker, fish, crayfish. My dogs loved the freedom to explore the woods. It was lovely. This is one of my favorite places to stay, quick drive from the city into nature and solitude.

Always a good time camping at the Sacchara site. Only had time for 1 night, unfortunately. Its been very quiet every time i’ve been there. Just the sound of the creek mostly. Had a little rain through the night, but no big deal. I’ve stayed there 3 or 4 times so far and its always been private and peaceful. Hope to get back soon

This spot is really great. I stayed at Lindera, and it was completely private, middle of the woods. I biked out from Philly, and it was an awesome ride. The campsite is about a mile off the Perkiomen trail.

Great camping spot near a little creek. Very peaceful and Martin and his friends were all very nice. It’s a little bit of a walk to get to the spot I chose, but Martin lent me a wheelbarrow which made the trek doable. There’s a wood chip bed for the tent which made a pretty even and dry ground. And there was even a good spot to setup a fairly large hammock.
Good to know: the neighbors love fireworks. It’s expected on the 4th of July when I went, but definitely good to know to expect them!
