Welcome to the Lakeside Campground in beautiful Windsor, New York! We are a seasonal campground open May 1st thru October 15th. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, lakeside provides spacious, Rustic campsites in a quiet, family-friendly environment. We offer these amenities and more! • Variety of wooded campsites, all with picnic tables and fire rings • Full hook-up (W/E/S) RV sites - Lakeside and Large Pull-through sites • Tent / Pop-up (W/E) sites – Lakeside and Remote (Hillside Tent Loop) • Rental Accommodations – Cabins, Rental RVs, Yurts, and Platform Tent • Fishing on private lake; no NYS license required • Swimming in Lakeside’s new in-ground pool or designated lake swim area • Basic Campground WiFi • Non-motorized boating, using personal or rental boats (kayaks, peddle boats, row boats, or canoes) • Playground, Game Room, Pool Table, and more • Laundry, Bath Facilities, and Dump Station • Camp convenience store - includes firewood bundles, ice, propane refills, fishing worms, ice cream, grocery items, and more • Activities every weekend • Hiking and Golf Nearby (under 5 miles) Nothing beats curling up in a cozy sleeping bag under the stars. Additional persons are $5.00, and Children 10 years & under are free. There is no charge for pets in your own camping units. If you fish, Lakeside provides wonderful fishing. The lake includes bass, sunnies, bluegills, catfish, and perch. We have a license for the lake so you do not need an NYS license.

Lovely Lakeside Location

G10 Tent/Pop Up

Gorgeous place! The lake is lovely, the long term campers are quiet and friendly, i loved walking around and checking out all the cute lawn decor. My spot (G10) on Easy Street (love the street names btw) backed right up against the woods and this gorgeous sea of ferns. Everyone i met at the office was very helpful and friendly and genuinely lovely. There were some folks who arrived at the spot next to mine (G9) on the last night of my stay, and they were very rude, up till 11:30 at night tossing poppers in the fire and laughing and yapping. They were up at 6am the next morning and were right back to being loud. Luckily that was my check out day, but the only negative thing i have to say about this place is that with the sites being as close together as they are, it makes it really tough when a situation like this arises and your neighbors are not very considerate. Other than that, beautiful place, calm & peaceful, clean facilities, awesome staff. Next time i go i’ll have to book the sites on either side of me as well haha

Great tent spot at the edge of the site. It is next to trees with no other campers. Feels very secluded. The toilet and shower facilities are steps away.

My wife and I had a relaxing weekend. The cute little lake kept her busy all weekend catching sunfish and pearch. She even caught a bass, it was on the small side but gave her a nice fight jumping out of the water and doing its best to get away. The WiFi worked great, the bathrooms were very clean, and the grounds were tidy. The only thing that keeps this camp ground from being perfect is the lack of grass on the individual camp sights. Most of the seasonal sites had cute little lawns, but the visitor sights had very little. The owner was wonderful! We could have sat down with both her and her son and chatted the day away, but had to let them get back to work. We will be back, possibly before this summer is over.

In spite of a huge rainstorm we enjoyed our stay. The host was very helpful making sure we were close to the restrooms and knew about WiFi and the showers and firewood. She warned us about the rain so we were prepared. It s such a nice place we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it!

Lakeside Campground is quiet and friendly with all the amenities one needs: a store, firewood, and fish in the pond. The sites are clean and the clientele friendly. Believe the website about abounding Piper Hill Rd. Follow the signs!!!

We really enjoyed the campsite. The campground staff were friendly and very helpful. It suddenly turned pretty cold during our stay and the campground staff were very helpful with freeze warning notifications. We’d love to return when it’s warmer out! Penny was very good with communication and I would recommend this site!

I really enjoyed this place. It is very peaceful and clean, perfect for resting and disconnecting. The surroundings are beautiful: watching the sunrise over the lake, the sunsets, and the bonfires at night made the experience unforgettable. The nature around brings peace and energy, ideal for relaxing and reconnecting. The hosts were very attentive and always available for anything I needed. You can feel the care and dedication they put into maintaining the place, which makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I definitely recommend it. It’s a place I would love to return to.

Staying at a yurt was a different experience altogether! We’ve never glamped but I do think it’s along those lines…. Nice clean space with basic amenities and clean shared restrooms and hot showers! Literally all that you can ask for when in the wilderness!

This was our first time out in our hybrid pop out and this particular site was perfect for us. When we arrived, check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved this site because it was facing the open yard area which was great for our 4 and 1 year old to run around in. We liked being near the exit too because it gave us a little extra space to navigate parking and setting up. Overall a great experience. Penny was easy to communicate with and a great host!

My wife and I were welcomed and as brand new to using our travel trailer we had lot’s of questions. The pull through site in the pavilion was perfect for someone just learning how to drive/tow/ park. The staff was friendly and our camping neighbors were wonderful.

Our late check-in was pretty easy. A helpful map to the cabin and the keys were left in an easy to find spot. The cabin suited us well for our quick one night, the campground is very nice, the hosts were nice. The cabin is pretty tiny, it can sleep about 4, but you wouldn't have anywhere indoors really to hangout. The ladder setup to get to the loft seemed a bit treacherous, but I'm a wuss with heights. My friend managed well enough. We saw the cutest little orange salamander in the morning! Quiet area, which was pleasant.

Hidden Gem!

22) Lakeside Yurt

Lakeside Campground was a great find just over the NY state border. Penny was there to welcome us in spite of our later arrival and kept the store open for us to pick up some items for our stay. The campground is well laid out, with spring plantings and personal touches throughout. Our yurt was located right on the lake & had its own dock to enjoy the spring peepers at night. Neat & tidy interior: creature comforts and a really comfy bed! Screened windows allow cool breezes in for an exceptional sleep. Hot water & good shower pressure in the shower house - we used the all-in-one on Huff ‘n Puff Ln. Bring a quarter with you: gets you 9 minutes of shower time. This campground is now on our list of travel sites when headed north!
