Secluded, off grid getaway! On a private lane, but close to anything you may need! It consists of four buildings! The owners private A frame built atop a stone springhouse! A Bunkhouse! An amazing deck with outdoor kitchen and fireplace! A private bathhouse with an attached guest bathouse! The bunk house that will sleep 2 to 3 people with a propane wall mounted heater! The coverd deck can be used as a sleeping area also! You could also bring your own tent or vehicle camper up to 22 ft. No trailers! Enjoy the beautiful Stone fireplace surrounded by a deck and partial roof that consists of an outdoor kitchen with running water! A small stream and mini waterfalls that include a small pond make for a peaceful relaxing night at the campfirePLEASE READ ENTIRELY!!! Weather conditions may require hiking in and out! Spend the night in the Bunk House! Camping mats and mattresses are provided! Or pitch your own tent! Or bring your camper van/rv! (22 ft. Max.) Please note: the A frame structure above the springhouse is not available for guest use. This private off grid getaway is located on a hillside accessed by a private lane with twists and turns and drop-offs that would scare a mountain goat! You can make it. Just take your time. The Bunkhouse can sleep two adults and one or two children. There is a propane heater for those chilly nights! We have added some camping mats and mattresses. You may want to bring blankets/pillows. There is a guest bathhouse with hot showers (propane heated). The shower is provided by a solar powered pump. Guests must heat the water to their desired temperature. Note: (Running water/shower may not be available during cold weather. There is solar lighting, phone chargers, radio/ cd player, board games, Bean bag toss and a rocking chair for your relaxation! Also, a child's swings and slide and Tonka trucks. The mini waterfalls leading to a small pond provide a relaxing atmosphere! ( Flow depends on the amount of rain)! The deck with an outdoor kitchen has running water, a propane stove, a propane griddle, and all utensils, pots, The fireplace and campfire ring may also be used as long as there is not a burn ban in effect and fires are kept to a minimum! Firewood not provided! You may source firewood on site, but do not cut down any trees or bushes! Check out the Spring House and use it to keep your favorite beverages cold! It is advised not to drink any of the water on-site, but it can be used boiled or for hot showers, cleaning utensils, cooling off, etc. Please bring bottled drinking water! Please no smoking on the deck or in any of the buildings! Take out what you bring in! Please don't leave food or packaging! Garbage bags provided! Please read the departure checklist posted on the deck or in the cabinet that contains the radio. If you like privacy and relaxation, this is for you! Shopping in Wilkes Barre/Scranton is just minutes away! For a great meal, try Adelina's in Mountain Top! This was my second time staying here, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. It was raining during our visit, but the place had everything we needed to stay comfortable. The fireplace in the kitchen area was a highlight—it was so cozy sitting around it, especially with the rain outside. The place is comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. World-Class Hospitality from Vince

Group trip

Hands down the best camping setup and the best host we’ve ever encountered! As frequent campers, our group is used to roughing it and doing without, but Cat’s Camp blew every expectation out of the water. It was everything we hoped for and more for a 5 day/4 night Labor Day Camping Trip. Vincent is a top-tier host; stand-up guy, helpful, and exceptionally communicative. He answered every question via the app in under 30 minutes. When we asked about firewood beforehand, he arranged to have a half-cord delivered directly to the site before we arrived so we could immediately dive into the campfire vibe. To top it off, he brought in an extra porta-potty to comfortably accommodate our group of 12. And trust me, we put that Porto through the wringer! (See kitchen review below). Standout Highlights: The Kitchen - The lean-to has a fully STOCKED kitchen that we put through SERIOUS work. We cooked up everything from scratch - gumbo, pumpkin chili, tacos, breakfast burritos, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, fire-smoked eggplant, hanger steak, Italian hoagies, and grilled cheese. It handled it all effortlessly. The Bathhouse - LEGENDARY. The ingenious, homemade setup with a keg mounted over a propane burner for hot showers is pure genius. The Atmosphere - Incredible elevated views from the top of the site paired with the soothing sound of the babbling brook made the whole trip. Vincent is officially the gold standard for hosts. We can’t wait to come back!

Such a beautiful, magical little site. We had everything we needed for our 1 night getaway. Our daughters loved the swing set and the bunkhouse was tiny but cozy. We’d love to come back and spend more time.

We had a great time at this place! Took us a minute to figure out how everything worked, but we were honestly impressed with the number of amenities on site. (The keg to heat up the shower water is ingenious btw!) This spot is clearly well cared for and you can tell that there have been many updates and improvements over the years. We had a lovely stay and even found some chanterelles in the woods nearby! (We made sure to avoid the game lands). Thank you for opening this little haven out to the public!

Had a splendid time tent camping here, and would def love to come back. For a group of 4 with two tents, it was great! Could probably handle more peeps, too. It was one person's 1st time, and she loved it! The kitchen was very nice to have, and we loved the fire pit area and table patio area too. We probably overprepared for this trip, but I definitely recommend being overpacked rather than underpacked coming here. The drive down was easily manageable by my RAV4 and partner's Tacoma. A smaller car might have a little trouble, especially if it rains. There is one especially bad divet/washout close to the beginning of the trail, so watch how you go over it. I wish there was a full set of bags for the cornhole! And a bit bummed we couldn't go into the balcony area, but we made do without

We loved so many things about this campsite. It was beautiful, secluded, interesting, and equipped with everything we needed and more. The cool kitchen/deck/fireplace area was great to cook, eat and just hang out in and perfect for when it rained. The sounds of birds and the stream were refreshing and soothing. We enjoyed the stars, the greenery and flowers, frogs and dragonflies... We did see several small snakes that we think are non-venomous. Not a deal breaker for us but I'm mentioning it in case finding them would ruin someone's vacation. We will definitely try to come back. Vince was also generous and great with communications.

This was a truly unique and beautiful site. It’s very accessible by the main road, and close to the highway. You’d never know that, however, sitting by the little pond and listening to the wind in the trees. The bunkhouse was a great option for last-minute solo tent camper chickens such as myself. The open kitchen and dining spot was really nice as well. Vince was super responsive as well. I would definitely stay there again.

My only reservation for giving this gem a 5 star review is that I’d selfishly like it to remain a hidden treasure! I can’t say enough amazing things about our stay at Cats camp. Vince was a picture perfect host and was quick to respond to any inquiries we had during our stay. We are already planning our next trip! Thank you again Vince for providing this amazing experience for us and others!

Perfect family getaway

Vince's place was just what we were looking for! It is rustic and yet, also fully quipped with everything you could ever need to make a wonderful nature getaway. We loved the open air kitchen design with the beautiful stone fireplace and comfy rocking chair. It was also perfectly shaded for our high temp days... and the setup of the outdoor table has a divine air flow. We opted to cook our dinner over the adjustable open fire pit off that sits along the grass line. Our kids loved setting the slide up on the grassy hill as my husband dumped buckets of cold fresh spring water on their heads. The spring house was awesome and we all took a morning cold plunge in the fresh water. The swings and toys were perfect... frog hunting in the pond and exploring the area. Good thing we had the bunk house because it unexpectedly rained pretty hard during the night and we were perfectly dry and safe from the elements. Be aware though, rain on that tin roof is loud! If it were our place, the one thing we would re-think was the toilet setup (currently a handicap toilet commode) Off grid toilets are a tricky thing to navigate anyhow... But I think we would dig a pit and set up an outhouse with sawdust, etc. Its really no big deal but the only thing I would give a "heads up" to others about. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back!

Camp was very peaceful and secluded. You can sit and enjoy hearing the creek that’s located on the property and the abundant birds. Nothing more relaxing than sitting in front of a fire and hearing nothing more than the comfort of nature. Even being in the cold season the bunkhouse was very warm.

Awesome private site! It rained most of our stay but we loved hanging out in the outdoor kitchen and cooking dinner with a fire going. Outdoor kitchen, bathroom hut, and tiny bunkhouse all have lights that are powered through solar generator. Felt very safe here and would love to stay again in the future.
