Come join us in the beautiful forested landscape of Central Pennsylvania. Located a mere 20 miles south of Penn State University, we are surrounded by the many amenities Central PA has to offer.
We are welcoming to LGBTQ+ campers as well as all ethnicities.
Pitch a tent on a quiet site and drop a line into one of our two trout streams crossing the campground. Hang a hammock between two towering poplar trees surrounded by flowering rhododendron. Or pull up in your camper and relax before and after a Penn State Football game under the blue and white sky. We have small, secluded sites to get away from it all, as well as conjoined sites to accommodate larger groups.
On property we have bathrooms, hot showers, and a recreation hall with free ping pong, board games, and billiards.
For a fee, we also have firewood, electricity, and a large event tent for rent.
Campers must be less than 24 feet.
Generators are not allowed.
Music should not reach outside your own site after 9pm.
There are no water hookups.
Vehicle noise is audible from route 350, especially on Friday afternoons.
Noise is diminished at sites further back from route 350.
Our sites are wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms and showers do have one step up into them.
Walk to Snappy's 24-hour convenience store to use their free Wi-Fi, buy bags of ice, or to pickup snacks and a sub in the attached Snappy's Grille. An ice cream stand and restaurant are within walking distance.
We require a minimum two nights stay for the recognized holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

In 1990, Scott and Sue Miller purchased a 16-acre farm in Elizabethtown, Pa with the intentions of starting a select cut Christmas tree farm. 15,000 trees were purchased and planted on the farm. Six years later, the first trees were sold.

Firewood available for purchase. We have a stone parking lot for RV campers. Two sites can also accommodate RV’s. We will reserve these sites.
Tent campers can set up in the trees and lanes. An outdoor portable toilet is available and water is available at an outside spigot. We are open April through

We have 6 sites available with fire pits. You are able to drive and park next to the site.

-Listing price is based on 2 guests per night. Please ensure correct headcount when booking.
- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. Fire rings are included. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. At this time, I do not have fresh water, shower or electric. I have an extension cord for charging phones, etc...
We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are!
As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future.

Our private, exclusive campsites, easily encompassing about 5 acres at each site and surrounded by the 150 acre farm, are designed to take advantage of the natural surroundings. Here you will find yourself off grid and alone with nature. Imagine yourself pitching your tent along the river or on the hill top, viewing countless birds of prey and all types of wildlife with no other folks around, except for your people.
The location could not be better or more private. Our family for years have camped and played at these site, enjoying the river and night sounds. We are a working Christmas Tree farm as well. Because we are a tree farm, we cannot allow you to bring wood from other locations on to the farm. Wood is for sale here and we request a pre order so we can have it ready at your site. You may purchase through Hipcamp or directly from us.
All sites have a picnic table, a Hawk Shadow Out House, water to wash things, a preparation table and a good bundle of kindling to start off your camping experience. There Is a shovel, cooking grates, log benches and a neat campfire ring. Potable water is available at the farm and you may refill when needed.
Campsite #1 (Lean To Site)
This site is along the river. It is private and lovely.
You may park your car above the site and walk down to the river and camping area. Short, 50 yards, but a steepish walk. Pack in and out accordingly.
Very private, lots of space. It is perfect.
Campsite #2 (Dog Gone Site)
This site is also along the river.
It is private and has the same set up as site one.
Park your car on top of hill and walk on down. It is a lovely spot. Walk is about 50 yards down a steep hill. Pack accordingly.
Campsite #3 (High Site)
Site 3 is above the river and looks over Hawk Mountain and the farm.
It is private with beautiful views. Unreal full moon gazing.............
Sunrise, Sunset, Moon rise, Bird watching, all very visible from this site.
Car accessible, no walking to campsite required.
At all sites, different seasons bring different activities. Spring: Kayaking, fishing and hiking. Summer: hiking, fishing in the pond, cooling off in the swim hole. Fall: raptor watching, hiking, biking plus fishing, (license required), in the Little Schuylkill. The nights are dark with star lit skies.
We have a 1.5 acre bass pond on the farm for fishing, so bring your rod. Big bass in there!!
Your camp site is surrounded by woods and forest, fields and trees.
You are a two hour drive from center city Philadelphia and 2.5 hours from down town New York City. One hour from Harrisburg.

There is plenty of local produce, we can give you directions to our local farm stands. Fresh butchers are not far away.

Yes, you can drive to the area of the campsite, but no, you cannot drive down actual site at campsite #1 and #2. Parking at site 3, no walk required..

Our property consists of 20 acres of the beautiful Blue Mountain. At the Lookout you can see for 40 Miles across the valley below. With views from Allentown, Lyons and Reading. The area with the view is a shared area for both sites. Feel free to use the fire ring while you sit and watch the evening sky. It is breathtaking at night.
At the bottom of the mountain there is a Gunclub with a shooting range and you will hear shooting from the property. Please note it is far away and there is no danger
Our property is mostly the mountain side. But with an area that is flat for tent camping. The property is close to Route 309 but there is a camping area away from the road. Our land is next to the road and you will hear some road noise.
We are next to National Parks land which also consists of the Appalachian Trail and also against the Pennsylvania Game Lands. You can walk up the street or trail to Thunderhead Lodge Restaurant. Leaser lake is a short drive if you like fishing or kayaking. The Wanamakers Store is a unique place to visit with amazing sandwiches. The Wanamakers and Kemton railroad is close by for a weekend train ride. Bear Rock Junction is close by for mini golf and ice cream. Eight Oaks Distillery is only a few minutes away. Several wineries and antique shops as well.
You may also see Appalachian Trail Thru Hikers come thru our property to stay at the hostel. Please welcome our hikers as they come to rest their weary bodies. Welcome to the Lookout. We have made many improvements to our land but also try to maintain the beauty it is. We plan to keep upgrading our property.
We plan to use the land for Recreational activites. We have a Hiker Hostel in the Building. The Building was previously the Blue Mountain Lookout Restaurant but has been neglected for approximately 20 years. We are trying to restore the property to bring it back to life.

Red Maple Campsite: A large luxury private site that includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for a maximum 10 guests with on-site parking space that is 90ft long and 20ft wide, for an RV or 6-8 cars and overflow parking for several more cars. It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. This site can handle several tents and has two picnic tables, two portable toilets, a scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, a charcoal grill, and on-site string lights.
Aspen RV Campsite: A medium private luxury drive through site great for RVs, rooftop tents, pop ups or camper vans. The TINY HOME features:
• 240 square feet plus sleeping for five. We have one queen sized and two single beds in the loft area. We have a comfortable single daybed on the first floor. We provide towels, comforters and pillows. We ask that Campers bring their own sheets or sleeping bags. House features a small kitchen and a full bathroom with a shower. We recommend short showers due to small hot water tanks.
• Electric fireplace, and a split unit provides air conditioning and heat.
• Refrigerator and electric stove.
• Large covered front porch.
The SITE also features:
• Wooded trails
• Two fire pits with plentiful free firewood plus a Blackstone Griddle in the pavilion. We ask that Campers clean it after use. We also have cooking sticks stored in the kitchen.
• 250 square foot pavilion with picnic table.
• Trails thru woods plus large lawn area
OTHER:
We now accept pets. We charge $15.00 per pet per night. Pets must stay on the first floor.
• Recommend good tires, or 4 wheel drive to get up driveway, deflating tires may be necessary in bad weather. All wheel vehicles work well too.

We decided to camp at Site 1 this time after years of staying at Site 2. Everything was perfect. We may even like Site 1 more than Site 2. Susan and Jenn are so helpful and accommodating. There’s a reason we keep coming back! This is our 7th or 8th time on the property. 10/10 highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Cat's Camp
Roughing it in a creative way. Lots of unique solutions to bringing basic comforts into the woods. You'll have a shower and a place to sit for the restroom, but don't expect anything like the state park, and you'll be very happy. The kitchen cabin is a show piece. Plan on spending some time there enjoying the deck or a fire inside.

The High Site at the farm has become our new favorite camp site. With great amenities like the outhouse, water for dish cleaning, optional drinking water and various items from the farm stand, we camp in style with a great view and peace and quiet. The train running through adds a little drama that we love.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As usual it was a great experience. My group and I are usually booking site 3 but site 4 was just as good, not as close to a stream where you can hear the running water but site 4s stream is about a 2-5 minutes walk. The site was clean per usual and pretty private. We’ll be coming back again!

What a dream! We stayed at campsite 3 and the stars were absolutely magical. The campsite was perfect, loved the table and wash station, access to the river (great hammock spot), and fresh eggs. Hosts were responsive and kind, can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time at Susan's camp Site 2. It was all well maintained and supplied, and was in a beautiful and secluded part of the property. The only challenge is getting your gear from the car down/back up to the campsite, however, Susan provided a wheelbarrow which was a great help. Susan and her helper Jen were very attentive and responsive with any requests we had as well as providing a great deal of detail for local attractions, restaurants, hiking trails, you name it. We would absolutely return to this campsite!

This was my third or fourth stay at Bald eagle campsite. I probably left a review before, and it was outstanding yet again. Just a cool place, each side is unique in its own way. I was there during the week, and it was late September, so it wasn't very busy. It was pretty awesome that everything was so quiet. In fact it's always been quiet, I never once had an issue with noisy people. I love the bathrooms, too men's rooms and two women's rooms with showers. Also, snappy's next door has amazing food, and it makes everything so convenient having that right there. I really like this place, you should book.

This was the perfect, safe, quiet spot to sleep on a solo road trip. Bill was very helpful, the sites are clean and easy to find, and the bathroom is an added bonus. Grateful to have found this camp, and to Bill for sharing his property!

Eric is a wonderful host. We enjoyed the farm and the animals he raises. When our car battery died during a Nor'Easter, I texted Eric and thank god he came and gave us a jump. Real standup guy and host. Goes out of his way for his guests.

Bill’s land was quiet and peaceful and a great place to take in the full moon with friends on a clear night. Bathroom access was very easy and the bathroom was clean. There were other campers on other sites but I didn’t even hear them.

Weekend Trip to Fairview Farms Airfield
Amazing as always. My son and I love coming here. From the beautiful open space and solitude (we rarely see other people but when we do meet other campers, they are always nice), to the amazing night skies and the bathroom and running water- you can’t beat this place. Weekend Trip to Cat's Camp
This was my second time staying here, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. It was raining during our visit, but the place had everything we needed to stay comfortable. The fireplace in the kitchen area was a highlight—it was so cozy sitting around it, especially with the rain outside.
The place is comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back again!

Such peaceful land. A private site, which is always much appreciated.
Little pines is located up a road following a wood line, and is tucked into a large field with lots of growth that makes for a site that feels like it’s in its own little world. The farther back you place your tent, the closer you get to the little road though. And such beautiful views all throughout the field.
It was a rainy weekend that was well very enjoyed at this spot. A bit muddy, as to be expected! But the elements never bother me. I have a tall tent and we set up a tarp covering with the help of the trees. 🌲
Porta’s were close by the site, and there was ample wood available as listed.
Bring cash for wood :)
