Such a lovely camping spot! Kathy was very welcoming and helpful. Campsites were mostly visible to each other around the pond but appropriately dispersed. Beautiful wooded area to explore. One of the better outhouses I’ve experienced as far as cleanliness and privacy.

Cathy sets the standard for what a Hipcamp experience should be. Due to work obligations we couldn't get on the road until 7, which meant we wouldn't arrive until after 9 on our first night. Cathy said come anyway. She and her husband were there to greet us and show us to our spacious site and give us the lay of the land.
The next morning we were able to take in the beauty of the property. We spent most of our time fishing the pond, catching large mouth bass, blue gill, etc. My daughter caught 18 fish in the two days we were there! Cathy and her husband would regularly make rounds to check in. It was enough that you knew they were genuinely interested in your enjoyment of their property, but not so much that it was intrusive. Bonus points for bringing their super friendly doggos around for pats. Cathy's husband even dug up some worms for my daughter to fish with! Oh, and delicious fresh eggs for us too!
This is an A+ experience and the trip fulfilled all my needs! Highly recommended.

We loved camping here! The hosts were so welcoming, we felt right at home as soon as we got there. Our site was beautiful, hearing the stream at night while sitting by the fire was so peaceful! We loved visiting the dogs, ducks, and chickens in the morning and the property was only 12 minutes from Ricketts Glen. We are already planning our trip for next year. ❤️🏕️

My husband & I wanted to hike at Ricketts Glen State Park and we just stayed for a night and it was perfect. Cathy and her husband came down to greet us and they were so nice! We got a bundle of firewood with our stay and they left us kindling as well. It was the perfect night away. We will be back!

This spot was perfect! The hosts are so welcoming The property is well maintained and beautiful. The outhouse was as clean as an outhouse can get. It wasn’t smelly at all! I give this place a 10/10.

Hartman’s Pond view is truly a gem for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. Their property is stunning and provides ample to do for activities. The hosts, Cathy and her husband were incredibly accommodating and personable. Thank you for letting us stay in your slice of paradise!

We loved tent camping on Cathy’s property. Took a swim after our hike then cooked on our camp stove and over the fire. Bought eggs which were hand delivered upon arrival! We got the surprise of a large black bear while we were cooking out bacon in the morning but he ran away when we jumped into the car and slammed the doors.

Fantastic spot for some R&R with family an friends. The pond was stocked with fish and the nights were quiet and clear!
Thanks so much for helping us celebrate Father’s Day! My daughter had a blast catching bass and bluegills off the paddle board.
We will be back again for sure.

We loved staying at Cathy’s hipcamp! The pond was so peaceful & beautiful, it felt very private & we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Being so close to Ricketts Glen is just a bonus!

We had a great stay! The property is beautiful and Cathy and her husband are very friendly and helpful. Plus their dogs are so cute. The lake was our favorite and the stars at night are beautiful. Great location right near the state park. Would love to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Cathy and her husband made us really welcomed when we first arrived and showed us right to our campsite. It was really cute, right by the stream so we set up our tent right next to that to hear the water all night. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you for having us.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. I grabbed two firewood bushels and a dozen fresh eggs. They were delicious, especially in front of the lake. Swimming in the lake was my favorite part! Its the best way to cool down after a long hike or after you grab some ice cream from red rock ice cream down the road. Great service, great spot, great hikes. Would recommend to any outdoorsmen who loves a water attraction!

Cathy and her husband are such sweet people and the pups were very welcoming as well! Beautiful pond and land as well. It was very refreshing to take a dip and chill on the dock. My fiancé and I loved waking up to the roosters crowing and looking out onto the water. Would definitely camp here again! Cathy was very kind in giving us some eggs from her chickens on our last day there. I would highly recommend staying here! Very peaceful and private.

Phenomenal weekend here at Hartman’s Pond! Initially booked to explore the area but found ourselves here…camping, fishing, swimming, and relaxing…most of our three day stay. Such wonderful hosts and so lucky to have been able to share in their piece of paradise. Just a dream property with so much wildlife, a beautiful stream, pond, dock, platform diving, water slide and tremendous unexpected views of the mountains. Not only peaceful and relaxing but non-stop exciting for our three year old and 9 month old kids. We hope to return many times to come.

Perfect spot if you are looking for a quiet getaway near Rickets Glen. Beautiful place and had it my pick of locations around the pond with a fire pit and wood ready to go! Will definitely be coming back.
