Also, feel free to join us in the fields, request a tour, pet a goat, smell a pig, and check out our DIY home renovation, (built with hempcrete). Pets should not be off leash unless well behaved and pets should not be left unattended. truck campers are allowed if they're under 8 feet. No trailers/campers. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. Our property consists of 20 acres of the beautiful Blue Mountain. At the Lookout you can see for 40 Miles across the valley below. With views from Allentown, Lyons and Reading.  The area with the view is a shared area for both sites. Feel free to use the fire ring while you sit and watch the evening sky. It is breathtaking at night.  At the bottom of the mountain there is a Gunclub with a shooting range and you will hear shooting from the property. Please note it is far away and there is no danger Our property is mostly the mountain side. But with an area that is flat for tent camping. The property is close to Route 309 but there is a camping area away from the road. Our land is next to the road and you will hear some road noise. We are next to National Parks land which also consists of the Appalachian Trail and also against the Pennsylvania Game Lands. You can walk up the street or trail to Thunderhead Lodge Restaurant. Leaser lake is a short drive if you like fishing or kayaking. The Wanamakers Store is a unique place to visit with amazing sandwiches. The Wanamakers and Kemton railroad is close by for a weekend train ride. Bear Rock Junction is close by for mini golf and ice cream. Eight Oaks Distillery is only a few minutes away. Several wineries and antique shops as well. You may also see Appalachian Trail Thru Hikers come thru our property to stay at the hostel. Please welcome our hikers as they come to rest their weary bodies. Welcome to the Lookout. We have made many improvements to our land but also try to maintain the beauty it is. We plan to keep upgrading our property. We plan to use the land for Recreational activites. We have a Hiker Hostel in the Building. The Building was previously the Blue Mountain Lookout Restaurant but has been neglected for approximately 20 years. We are trying to restore the property to bring it back to life.

Learn more about this land: This wooded area is 5 miles away from the Ohiopyle State Park whitewater launch area and GAP bike trail. We are less than 9 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Classic Fallingwater and about 8 miles from Kentuck Knob one of the last resident homes he designed (both are open for tours). Fort Necessity National Battlefield is 5 miles away. There are numerous native trout streams in the area. Youghiogheny Reservoir is 7 miles away for fishing, boat rentals, and water-sports. The Fern House is the primary camp cabin on the property. Although if someone would want to park a "self contained" camper or small RV on the property we would permit the unit to occupy the area in front of the driveway just pass the entrance gate. It is not within the ferns and is next to the road. There is an electrical outlet available at this small RV or van camper site. We are "nice pet" friendly. Dogs should not be left in the cabin alone. We have a mountain spring (when the spring is running) up the trail road (450 feet away). The ferns will normally be in full glory by the end of May to mid September and are amazing, covering the forest floor. Deer, bear, wild turkey, fox, chipmunks, squirrels and many woodland birds abound the property especially owls. A picnic table, fire ring and firewood is available on the property. Free WiFi on the property as long as the plant life is not too thick! There is a mile hiking loop right on the property and many challenging trails in the area, including the starting point for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. No smoking is permitted in the cabin. Read the entire narrative on the cabin (Tiny Fern House) before booking.

Our campsite is very private and includes a fire ring, a picnic table a trash can and a swing. Parking is available right at the site. It's just a 2 minute walk to the northernmost kayak launch on the East Branch of the Clarion River. Here you will find a public porta potty for use during the summer only. Several small jack dams will make your kayak experience a delight. We have a private 1 acre pond just a stones throw from the campsite that visitors can enjoy. Fishing is permitted in the pond, no license needed. Fly fishermen will enjoy the thrill of catching native and stocked trout in the most beautiful section on the East Branch of the Clarion River (PA fishing license and trout stamp required). Nearby is Bendigo State Park that offers free use of picnic areas and swimming in an immaculately kept pool. Just 1 1/2 miles away is the Dam Inn where you can stop for a beer or for a nice dinner on the deck. Adjacent to the campsite is State Gamelands #25. This enormous tract of public land is open to all for hiking, biking and fishing the pristine native trout streams, including Middle Fork, Crooked Creek and several others. Only a 3 mile drive will land you at the East Branch Lake, a seven mile long lake where you can put your boat in and fish, kayak or water ski to your hearts content.

I loved staying at this site. I stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday night so it was a quiet and peaceful campsite. Enjoyed morning coffee on the bench by the pond. Always felt safe and didn’t worry about my trailer when I spent the day at Longwood Gardens. It was very hot, in the 90’s, the site offered plenty of shade but still allowed my solar panels to charge up my battery. The cows and donkeys made several passes by that end of the property each day which always made me smile. I would definitely stay here again.

Extremely private and peacefully surrounded by farmland. Our pups were able to roam off leash and enjoyed swimming in the pond. There was a rowboat and 2 kayaks for use and plenty of space. Two picnic tables and a pile of wood to split as well! We will definitely be back!

Great spot, very private but close to town, lake, and hiking trails. Nice creek located onsite to wade in, or if you’re like us, set up a chair and chill in. There is a cooking area, sink, water filled jugs, fire pit w wire cooking options, and a charcoal grill. porta potty is clean. There is a hammock off to the side to relax in. One thing to note is you can hear traffic in the distance, but it’s not too disruptive. Would highly recommended! Also, you need to stop at Owow cow (sp?) creamery for some delicious ice cream!

We (2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs) had an amazing time camping at The Dam House At Beaver Pond! The location is beautiful and the camp has nearly everything you might need! The kids caught (and released) all types of fish, including some nice sized bass and a very first muskie! Pro tip- pack fish soap, a sponge, some towels and linens/pillows for the cots. The main bed was super comfy, with nice linens. Brendan was really accommodating and even offered to let us check in a day early due to the pending rain storm. He answered all of our questions ahead of time and greeted us upon arrival. Even though we live super close, we certainly will be back.

Weekend Trip to Ruby's Rocks

It was a really nice little camp site, even though it was close to the road, it felt pretty private. The hemlocks created a beautiful dense canopy even helped shelter us from some of the light rain that passed through. There is a perfect spot to hang up your hammock between the two large hemlock trees. I don’t recommend fishing in the pond. We saw lots and lots of frogs and snakes, but no fish. We tried fishing in the stream but there was no where along the bank open enough to make a cast. If you want to fish, you definitely need a kayak or waders and need to make sure it’s the right time of year, otherwise it really is not worth fishing at all.
