We purchased this property in 1994 and began to sculpt our dream. Starting with a small block camp and a swamp we built a large pond, a beautiful home and a large garage. In 2008 we made Ruby's Rocks our forever home and sold our home in St. Marys. Now our kids are all grown and journey home to our little haven in the woods. Learn more about this land: Our property is located near the tiny village of Glen Hazel, our unique area offers close proximity to many watersports and hiking opportunities. Visitors can watch bald eagles and osprey as you enjoy kayaking, fishing and nature at this primitive campsite. We have just one site at the moment and plan to add just a few more. Our campsite is very private and includes a fire ring, a picnic table and a trash can. Parking is available right at the site. It's just a 2 minute walk to the northernmost kayak launch on the East Branch of the Clarion River. Several small jack dams will make your kayak experience a delight. We have a private 1 acre pond just a stones throw from the campsite that visitors can enjoy. Fishing is permitted in the pond, no license needed. Fly fishermen will enjoy the thrill of catching native and stocked trout in the most beautiful section on the East Branch of the Clarion River (PA fishing license and trout stamp required). Nearby is Bendigo State Park that offers picnic areas and swimming in an immaculately kept pool. Just 1 1/2 miles away is the Dam Inn where you can stop for a beer or for a nice dinner on the deck. Adjacent to the campsite is State Gamelands #25. This enormous tract of public land is open to all for hiking, biking and fishing the pristine native trout streams, including Middle Fork, Crooked Creek and several others. Only a 3 mile drive will land you at the East Branch Lake, a seven mile long lake where you can put your boat in and fish, kayak or water ski to your hearts content.

Fishermen's Paradise Campground
Great Camp site!
The camp site was fantastic! Owners were very helpful. It rained most of our stay and the owners offered to let us borrow a canopy to stay dry. The pond was great and the creek across the street was a lot of fun to play in as well.

Highly Reccomended!
Awesome location with superb fishing. The site sits just off a very quiet country road where we saw two cars all weekend. The site has a great pond that is well kept and great for kids as the water edge is well maintained. There is no water on the site which we expected, but we filtered water from the stream that is maybe 150 feet from the camp. The stream is thick with trout! It is artificial only directly across from the camp but bait is allowed just a short distance down the road. The site was clean and well kept. Small items like a frying pan, grate for the fire, candle lanterns, and skewers for cooking were on site and a nice touch. There are plenty of trees to hang tarps or a hammock. Despite the area having a pond and some low lying bog, we had no issues with mosquitoes. The host stopped in to answer any questions we had and was very nice. If you like larger fires or stay up later at night you may wish to order two bundles of wood per day. If you were stingy or hit the sack early, you could do one bundle per day. We will be making the 4.5 hour trip back in the future to stay here again!

Fishermen's Paradise Campground
It’s a great little camping spot across from the Clarion River. Just down the road there is a parking area with open river access to get in the river, however you cannot actually see the river from the campsite (tall grass/brush/trees). The site is close to the road and there was some traffic due to using the river access point. However, the site is surrounded by trees and kind of tucked away so you have some privacy.

Tree-Covered and Quiet
A quiet spot close to a public kayak launch, multiple state parks, and not too far from a town center to grab supplies. I'll definitely be back!

Trout Heaven
Beautiful & peaceful site for camping in Northern PA. We picked this location mainly for the numerous trout fishing opportunities and the location delivered. From the river a very short distance from the campsite to several streams within a short drive.

Peaceful and secluded camping
It was a fantastic place to stay! We were sad when we had to leave. The area is peaceful with nobody to bother you and silence. The property was big enough for a large tent. There was a fire pit, swing and picnic table. A 2 second walk away was a large pond that you could sit by . I recommend checking this property out, I will be sure to get back there this year for sure!

Amazing place to tent out!
Me and my two friends planned a tenting trip here and had an amazing time. The location was beautiful and well worth the four hour drive. We travelled 45 minutes to the Kinzua bridge and enjoyed the scenery before hiking up the hill. We then ate at the Dam Inn which had incredible food and was just down the road from the camp site. I would absolutely recommend this location for anyone that enjoys fishing, traveling, and camping!

Fishermen's Paradise Campground
Great little spot. Secluded and only a short drive (22 min) to the Clarion River in Ridgeway. About an hour from Heart's Content old growth forest in the Allegheny National Forest. I appreciated that there was a picnic table with bench that could be moved closer to the fire. Boat launch is just down the street which is beautiful even if you aren't into fishing! Will note that I used the instant book feature on the same day (a few hours prior to arrival) and despite messaging host, they thought we were intruders when driving by late at night, so we had to explain ourselves. I would still recommend the spot, and it wasn't that distracting from our evening, but a bit disappointing since I went out of my way to send a DM and let the host know we'd be arriving late. However, I understand reception can be spotty in the area. Would recommend sending a DM too if you book the same day, just in case the host isn't near their computer/phone/service. Overall, great spot!

Great Place to Stay
My friends and I loved our stay at the Fisherman’s Paradise. The camp spot was the perfect size for the 5 of us it and it was as nice and shaded. There’s a pond a stones throw away but the best part was the nearby river. It’s only a few minutes walk to where you can set up a picnic blanket and get in. Susan and her husband were super nice as well.

this site was well kept and on the pond with plenty of sweet bird watching but it was not private and tucked away like we assumed from the listing. four campers was a tight fit and the road was just feet away and we were visible to others. the hosts were great and the fire pit and firewood were great!

Pond onsite is bad for fishing
Owners were nice, very helpful and sold us firewood. Title is misleading though, definitely not fisherman’s paradise, we didn’t get a single nibble and any close spots are pretty shallow. I’m sure there are some spots relatively close, but they make it seem like the pond on site is super active and lively when it is not. Lots of snags and the water is as still as can be. Site is surrounded by marshland, so it was actually pretty small and contained. Not much too explore. If you plan on fishing on-site, then your expectations will not be met.

Petite perfection! 😄
Perfect little site! Lovely hosts! Despite being near the road I didn’t see or hear a single car bc it’s tucked away so nicely on a side road! Just stayed one night but definitely will come back and spend a few days there exploring the area! Note to visitors: I ordered two bundles of wood because I got there early in the day and you never know how much wood they will bring and it was chilly that day, but would have been fine with one. Not to host: The candle lit lantern on the picnic table was a nice touch! Thanks Jim and Susan!

Beautiful site
We enjoyed our stay in this hidden gem. Site is well Maintained and secluded enough from the lightly used road. The pond was great to sit and relax on the benches and read or drink coffee. The stream was a lot of fun to wade fish. Caught 5 small trout (one brook trout, too). Was a long drive for us but worth it. We hope to return again.

Beautiful campsite right next to a pond with the sound of a babbling brook in the background. The site is well wooded so it’s relatively private. I appreciated the picnic table and nice firepit. Would stay again.

We had a lovely time relaxing in this little spot. The pond near the site has benches where we enjoyed the cool evening air. The site is not far from the National Forest and several other activities and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away.

Sweet little private spot. She was super nice about us reserving short notice too, so being on the road, this was awesome. We will definitely be keeping this place in mind if we are in the area again.

Peaceful, Beautiful, and Remote
We had the best time at Susan's campsite! It was private and beautiful. Their pond was great for fishing and had little benches around the pond which were perfect for sitting and enjoying the beauty. Susan was prompt in answering any questions we had and was so welcoming. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for everything, Susan!

This place was beautiful- there was a pond and Susan was so kind and sweet to both me and my dog. Another great thing about this place was fact that it was only a few miles away from the state park with the river (I forgot the name of the river). My dog and I hiked the Eagle trial several times during the stay! It was great!
