3 nights at Creekside on Camp Road

We had a wonderful time at creekside! The kids loved playing in the creek and exploring the area; we saw lots of wildlife! Everything was in working order and Leah was a wonderful and helpful host.

3 nights at Farm on the Creek

This is a great spot, right beside the water. You are near a bridge & cars do drive by but its not busy & the trees create great privacy. Shade, fire pit & port-a-john were great. Super responsive host & easy to find.

Weekend Trip to Clarion Heights

Had an awesome stay! Would definitely come back. Owners are friendly and responsive. The site was clean, private, and quiet. There’s a field across from the site that we laid out in, could be nice for stargazing! Only negative was the amount of glass in the field. Assuming it’s just from the fill since the rest of the camp is pretty well maintained, just be careful with pets and kiddos over there. The outhouses and shower were a nice touch. Brought a magnetic light and was able to shower at night. Made a few froggy friends and got some bird watching in before even hitting the trails. Overall a great spot!

Tent camped on Marie's land. Beautiful large area up the road from her farm. Area well kept. Stream nearby to provide perfect sleeping music. So enjoyable to listen to her talk about the farm and the animals. The fresh eggs can't be beat. The horses were beautiful.

Weekend Trip to The Nest - Creekfront Cabin In ANF

Ben's communication was very prompt and helpful from the first contact! The cabin was located along the Tionesta creek which was very serene and calm. There was easy access to the road and our vehicle for unloading/packing up. The cabin had all the amenities for comfort and fun the woods- electric, hot water, shower, A/C, fire wood/fire pit, kayaks, and picnic table. Ben's mom met us as soon as we arrived and explained everything about the cabin to make sure we felt comfortable and ready to enjoy the cabin and then left us in privacy. Thank you Ben and we look forward to our next escape at your rustic and cozy cabin along the creek.

Olga Farms was amazing as ever! Our second time coming and it won’t be our last. All the folks are great and super helpful, spot is excellent and skies are breathtaking!

Weekend Trip to Firefly Acres - Star Gazing Views

We enjoyed our stay VERY MUCH! Her dad Tim was very friendly and attentive. He was right there when you needed him but still fat enough to still have privacy. The view from the hill top was everything for us. We star gazed at night and walked the trails in the morning. We saw salamanders, chipmunk, frogs and different mushrooms. It was so serene. Highly recommend!

Me an my kids loved the huge camp site and privacy it was very well kept and my kids couldn't stay out of the river that was ten feet from our camp which was very nice it was very affordable is by far our favorite campground we been too ever and we can't wait to come back in the near future

This place was awesome! The hosts John and Olga were very kind and helpful. We felt so welcomed. The campsites are easy to get to and you have a great view of the stars at night. They also hosted a Star tour that we got to be apart of and it was a lot of fun and we learned a ton! They also had some people jamming and playing live music. It was a great camp experience and certainly one we’ll be doing again.

2 nights at The Nest - Creekfront Cabin In ANF

Beautiful view! If it was warmer we would have spent the entire time in the water - Almost didn't go when we saw it was on 666, because I'm superstitious, but it was perfect! Ben has a great setup - secluded but accessible, comfy bed, DVD's is case you get rained in, plenty of water and firewood - Love this spot. Just go, it's perfect.

2 nights at Elk Run Maples

Lovely property to take a little break from reality. It was clean and had a good area mowed to be able to walk around as well as play with our dog. The path along the creek to get to the bench was nice as well. We tried to do a little fishing a couple times but we only caught a couple little natives. It was still fun, it's just not a big stocked creek. The only downfall of this hipcamp in our opinion was that the house can also be rented out. If the house is being rented by people then you lose your privacy due to the way the house is overlooking the back yard where you set up your tent and relax by the fire pit. So you kind of feel like all eyes are on you from all the windows and deck. As well as the concern that someone may walk down on you while going to the bathroom outdoors. So if you're looking for something private and personal like we were, you may want to inquire about the house being rented or not. As for the host Kathy, she was great. Very responsive, helpful, and kind.

5 nights at Clarion Heights

What a great find! Ed is a genuinely nice guy who's very friendly. He and Lisa upgraded us to their A frame pavilion at no extra charge because of the torrential rain on Saturday. He even towed a freshly cleaned super nice port a potty with a sink to our site and brought us some firewood to get started. Firewood was plentiful and at a very reasonable price. There are a number of hikeable trails there with some awesome views of Johnsonburg and the paper factory as well as the surrounding mountains. It's a beautiful 50 acre piece of property, mostly heavily wooded and lots of ferns. We will definitely be back!

Stayed for one night last summer, stayed for 3 nights this summer. Fantastic campground. You have water (including hot water!) and toilets. The optional wood was very generous. And the history of the place is incredible. We will be back.

Austin Dam Memorial Park

Just outside the quaint town of Austin sits a vivid reminder of one of Pennsylvania's worst disasters – the Austin Flood. In 1909, the dam was constructed on Freeman Run to power the Bayless Papermill downstream. Many wondered if the dam was safe. On September 30, 1911, Austin found out. Poor construction, coupled with torrential rain, resulted in the dam's collapse. Nearly 400 million gallons of water were released, destroying everything for 8 miles. At least 78 people perished in the tragedy. It was the second worst flood disaster in Pennsylvania's history and sixth worst dam failure in U.S. history. The tragedy sparked new legislation to improve dam safety, and the Austin Dam was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The ruins of the dam still stand, surrounded by a 76-acre park, as a tribute to the lives lost in the Austin Flood. Don't miss one of Potter County's best kept secrets!

If you look long enough, you may even see some shooting stars. The property is 93 acres and offers well manicured hiking trails that can even be used for Mountain Biking enthusiasts. Wild animals such as deer, raccoons, fox, owls, hawks, humming birds, bald eagles and more have made the land their home. Fireflies tend to take over in the summer months, its a beautiful thing to see. It's the perfect place to get away and enjoy nature all while being close to restaurants and downtown Olean if needed. Enjoy cooking on our rustic fire pits or light a fire to just enjoy the crackling sounds and warmth at night. A safe place for kids to run around, enjoy family time and the simple pleasures Mother Nature has to offer. It's perfect for anyone who just wants to get away and immerse themselves in the country. We have 2 camp sites ready right now both come with a fire pit. One is more secluded which is campsite #2 and the one with the valley view is campsite #1. Showers are seasonal. The last day for shower use is Oct 15th. You’re more than welcome to bring your own portable shower hook up and use the shower house for privacy. We apologize for any inconvenience. You will need to have a cigarette lighter access to use the shower to power the pump. We recommend bringing flashlights as our property is solar powered and there is no electric on the property. On low sunny days, solar lights may not last as long into the evening. On rainy days the property can be very muddy and access to the top of the hill to the sites would be best accessed with a 4WD vehicle as well as winter time with snow on the ground. If you'd like to charge your phone we advise you to bring back up battery packs as there is now electric hook ups on site. The most private sites are Cloud 9, Bunny Pit and Lilou's Landing. The cottage is located down by the main house and not at the top of the hill. Pets are welcome, please clean up after your dog. * No firearms or explosive devices of any kind are allowed on the property.

This steep terrain originally facilitated the development of a downhill ski area and lodge during the 1950s and 1960s, making it a popular winter retreat. Although the ski area has been closed since 2014, exciting developments are underway. As of 2023, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is actively pursuing a public-private partnership to revitalize Denton Hill into a year-round recreational hub. The park features ten scenic RV sites along a picturesque 9-mile stream, providing a tranquil setting for visitors. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy biking, downhill activities, and UTV rentals, with direct access to the Susquehannock ATV Trail System. Hikers will appreciate year-round access to the Billy Lewis Area Trail System within Susquehannock State Forest, while fishing and hunting opportunities abound on-site, making Denton Hill State Park a true haven for nature lovers.

We’ll give you a picnic—just come to Sizerville State Park and take your pick from the more than 200 wooden tables and benches scattered around the grounds of this 386-acre plot of perfection. Nom it up, then channel your old swim coach and instruct all your peeps to wait 30 minutes before cannonballing into the 105-foot pool. Unless it’s off-season. That could be painful. But, we’ve got alternatives!—work off the marshmallow kabobs on one of the five miles of loop trails for varied levels of hikers, or hop on a snowmobile or a pair of cross-country skis and see all the sights of this beautiful space.

Anglers, hunters, and trappers will find their happy place here at Sizerville and campers equipped with both RVs and tents are welcome year-round. Come fall, you could find your next handmade gem at the Annual Autumn Festival, or in the warmer months, you can pop your head into the Environmental Education Building to check out the many species of butterflies that this park’s native plants attract. And, all that? That’s just the start of it. We’ll let nature do the rest.
