Welcome to Firefly Acres Escape to Firefly Acres, where 93 acres of rolling countryside offer breathtaking valley views and the beauty of the Enchanted Mountains by day, followed by incredible star-filled skies at night. If you’re lucky—and patient—you might even catch a few shooting stars lighting up the sky. Our land is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, raccoons, fox, owls, hawks, hummingbirds, bald eagles, and more. In the summer months, fireflies put on a magical display, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. With well-maintained hiking trails that are also great for mountain biking, there’s plenty to explore for both adventure seekers and those simply looking to wander and unwind. Firefly Acres is the perfect place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, while still being conveniently close to restaurants and downtown Olean when needed. Spend your evenings cooking over our rustic fire pits or simply relaxing by the fire, enjoying the warmth and peaceful sounds of the outdoors. It’s a safe, open space for kids to run and families to reconnect, surrounded by the simple beauty of Mother Nature. * Showers are seasonal, with the last day of use on October 15th. You’re welcome to bring your own portable shower and use the shower house for privacy. * The shower system requires access to a cigarette lighter port (vehicle or portable battery) to power the pump. * The property is solar-powered with no electrical hookups, so we recommend bringing flashlights and backup battery packs for charging devices. On low-sun days, solar lighting may be limited. * During rainy or muddy conditions, and in winter, access to the hilltop sites may require 4WD, and even then, it is not guaranteed—especially in early spring. Please plan accordingly. Additional Policies: * Pets are welcome—please clean up after them. * No firearms or explosive devices of any kind are permitted on the property. Whether you’re here for adventure, relaxation, or a little bit of both, Firefly Acres offers a peaceful, scenic escape where you can truly unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

Pitch a tent at the top of Firefly Hill and enjoy the view of the Enchanted Mountains. A fire pit will be provided for you for bonfires and cooking. As well as a garbage bin. A short walk away from where the trails begin for walking, hiking, exploring and mountain biking. You can enjoy sunset views and star filled skies at night. This site has the best view and has easy access. Getting to the top of this site can be reached on foot fairly easy as the incline isn't super steep. However, your vehicle should get you to the top no problem unless it’s super rainy and wet weather. You can purchase a day pass from our neighbors across the street at Lake Lane Campground to use their in-ground pool, fishing, pavilions, basketball court and more. On 4th of July they always put on an amazing Firework Show with live music! Pitch a tent at the top of Firefly Hill and enjoy the view of the Enchanted Mountains. A fire pit will be provided for you for bonfires and cooking. A short walk away from where the trails begin for walking, hiking, exploring and mountain biking. You can enjoy sunset view and star filled skies at night. This site is more secluded, offers shade and you will able to drive right in with its designated parking area. Set just beside its sister site, North Star – Pitch Your Own Tent Site offers a peaceful, scenic escape with beautiful views of the Enchanted Mountains paired with just the right amount of shade to keep you cool on warm summer days. Arrival is simple and inviting—park directly in front of your site, then take a short walk across the solar-lit bridge. After crossing, North Star is easily accessible and thoughtfully placed for both convenience and comfort. This site includes a fire pit for cozy evenings, a picnic table for dining and relaxing, and a water jug for washing and general use (please note: this water is not for drinking). You’ll also appreciate the short walk to the bathroom and shower house, making your stay feel easy while still immersed in nature. North Star sits adjacent to our South Star campsite, making it a great option for groups who want to stay close together while still enjoying their own individual spaces. If you’re looking for a little more privacy, you can reserve both North Star and South Star for a more secluded, spacious setup. Tucked into a peaceful corner of the property, South Star – Pitch Your Own Tent Site offers the perfect balance of open views and cool shade. Wake up to sweeping sights of the Enchanted Mountains, then relax beneath the natural tree cover when the summer sun is at its peak—it’s the best of both worlds. Getting here is part of the charm. Park conveniently right in front of your site, then take a short stroll across our solar-lit bridge. Once you cross, simply make a left and you’ll arrive at your cozy, private camping space. South Star is thoughtfully set up for a comfortable stay, featuring a fire pit for evenings under the stars, a picnic table for meals and gathering, and a water jug for washing and general use (please note: this water is not for drinking). The bathroom and shower house are just a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy nature without sacrificing convenience. This site sits next to our North Star campsite, making it ideal for friends or family who want to camp together while still having their own space. Prefer a more secluded experience? You also have the option to book both South Star and North Star for added privacy and room to spread out. Tucked along the back edge of the main property near the entrance, this charming little cabin offers a cozy and peaceful escape (please note: it is not located at the top of the hill). Surrounded by nature, you’ll often spot deer grazing nearby, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, and take in star-filled night skies. Fireflies light up the evenings, and there’s no shortage of birds to watch during the day. This hidden oasis gives you the perfect balance—far enough out to fully enjoy the beauty of nature, yet close enough to easily access nearby restaurants and shopping in the downtown area. You’re also just a short drive from Allegany State Park, Seneca Allegany Casino, Ellicottville, and more. The cabin is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, featuring electricity, a mini fridge, hot plate, microwave, coffee maker, TV with Netflix, and even some fun extras like a dart board and foosball table. Outside, you’ll have access to a fire pit, grilling pavilion, and tree swings. Inside, the main bed is a queen, and the couch converts into a double bed. Towels are provided for your convenience. Guests are welcome to explore the entire property—perfect for hiking, walking, mountain biking, and simply enjoying the outdoors. For even more amenities, you can purchase a day/resort pass to Lake Lane Campground located just across the street. Fay was very accommodating for us and even through they’re not quite ready for the season they were happy to have us there. Spectacular views, great spaces, very well marked. I know they have plans to further improve the land for camping and there’s a lot of pride and work that’s gone into it. Lovely hosts and a very peaceful place to stay.

It is a beautiful place and the campsites up on the ridge. I came while it was raining and couldn’t get up the muddy hill but the host helped me up and I spent a good night.

The cabin was nice. It had good heating, a nice bed, a nice bathroom, and it had lots of forms of entertainment. The cabin also had wifi and a flat screen tv you could stream on. The host was also very good with helping us if we were confused on anything. I definitely plan on staying here again.

Such a beautiful space! The views were incredible and really great hiking. You can hear lots of owls and coyotes at night! I suggest bringing an umbrella or something because there’s no real shade in the field. But I wouldn’t have traded the views for anything.

Cloud 9 was the perfect spot to bring our two kids, ages 8 and 11, for a camping weekend. We were far enough out to see beautiful stars at night overlooking the valley, but close enough to town to run for forgotten items. The outhouse was close to our spot, which is always a plus with kids, and the platform gave us a spot to pitch our tents off the ground. Although not completely private, we couldn't hear much of our neighbors (except for some chatty huskies and a one off visit from a sweet old GSP). Tim was a super friendly camp supervisor and helped grab us a huge bundle of new campwood when we ran out. Plus, the solar fairy light were an adorable and helpful touch. The only negatives were being across the valley from a fishing campground, as some of those campers played loud music at night that echoed across the valley, and the ruts leading up the hill to drive to our site were rough on our low lying vehicle. Otherwise, we had a great time and would love to go back!

We loved the site, shower was awesome, took some figuring out but do-able! Host was helpful and gave use a generous amount of wood = big fire :). We had a good chat and we really loved this area and its beauty.

This was a PERFECT tent camping spot! Trees for shade and sky for stargazing, deck was awesome, I just wish the weather had been better that night so I could have enjoyed it more, but even the storm was enchanting! Highly recommend for tent camping

Cute campsite. The flat platform to pitch the tent on was amazing. We slept with the rainfly off and watched the stars and meteor shower. We saw all kinds of wildlife including an owl that visited on the first night, lots of fireflies, all kinds of birds. Shower worked well and was a nice feature to have. The water tank sink at the site for washing hands and such was a nice touch too. We definitely are planning on returning at some point.

Came back this year for fourth of July as last time it was amazing to be one with nature, had a great firework show but neighbors across the way are annoying when they want to be party poppers, the hosts were so friendly and accommodating, when we got there the hot water was not working but in no time it was fixed and ready to go! Love the hiking trails and the beauty i was surrounded by, Tim was a great help and always ready to fulfill our needs. Thanks so much!

We enjoyed our stay VERY MUCH! Her dad Tim was very friendly and attentive. He was right there when you needed him but still fat enough to still have privacy. The view from the hill top was everything for us. We star gazed at night and walked the trails in the morning. We saw salamanders, chipmunk, frogs and different mushrooms. It was so serene. Highly recommend!

We loved camping at Lilou's Landing. The views were beautiful with the snow covered ground and we were very impressed with all the extra touches. It was extremely comfortable for being mid-December and there was plenty of wood to keep us warm. We were still able to enjoy the trails and most of the amenities available. We will definitely be booking again!

Wonderful place with beautiful views!! Loved having a restroom & shower nearby. Bonus corn hole boards and axe throwing was such a treat! The trails and forest were enjoyable to explore. This place is so much more than just a place to pitch a tent. There are other sites nearby and a larger RV site across the valley, so there is some noise. But if you’re okay with that it’s a perfect place. The site itself had plenty of privacy via trees. Host made sure we had plenty of wood for heat the entire time and gave us some tips for the trails. Can’t wait to come back next time I need a mountain escape 💕

It was easy to find and so easy to get to the site we reserved! Fay was in constant communication and very helpful in troubleshooting the hot water on the shower - they had it fixed within an hour! The campground across the street and the trains nearby were somewhat noisy in the evening, but everything was silent by a reasonable time. Gorgeous remote feeling location and yet very close to town. Highly recommend and looking forward to booking again!

Beautiful and peaceful stay in the rolling hills. Stunning views and serenity, from the peaceful deer to the wolves howling at the full moon. Fay and her dad, Tim were awesome hosts. Our site was right the very top of the hill with breathtaking views but Mother Nature had other plans for our stay. Torrential downpours for the few days prior to our stay, paired with our nearly 9000lb 2wd 170ext sprinter van, meant we couldn’t make it up the hill. We were able to walk up and enjoy the space and camp at the lean-to at the bottom of the hill. It’s a gorgeous property and we would definitely recommend it.
