We really loved this campsite. It was very private and quiet. We had great campfires thanks to the availability of lots of dry wood. Everything was very clean and Nathan was responsive to all of our questions. We especially loved our hike into Zoar Valley. We walked on the Valentine Flats Trail, which ended at the confluence of two rivers.

I loved this site! Private and comfortably hosted myself and my friends for Memorial Day weekend. Close to a beautiful trail and easy access to the Gorge nearby, I highly recommend checking this place out! A family of owls lives nearby, donât be alarmed by the odd sounds at night- Barred Owls can sound somewhat like coyotes but it was very neat hearing them in the dark.

This site was great and would definitely come back! There were only 3 of us but also a great spot for larger groups. We got a lot of use out of the fire pit and pizza oven! Greatly appreciated that bundled of firewood was available for purchase. It had rained recently and site was easy to get in/out of. Lots of great trails a short drive away. Thanks for putting together such a great camp site!

Really enjoyed our stay! Great, secluded location with ample space for camper and tent with room to spare. Nathan is a great host and was very accommodating. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

One of the best campsites ever. I booked for Father's Day as a surprise but ended up having to cancel because of a conflict. My husband randomly booked this site, not knowing it was the same one I booked for him a few months earlier, so I guess it was meant to be! The sites are huge, big fire pit, private, and my dogs loved being off leash. Can't wait to go back in the summer!

Site 1 - Zoar Valley Forest Retreat Campsite
This was a great, quiet site with a good fire pit, enough of an area for our two tents (a bit of a slope), and plenty of room for our dog to play. We enjoyed the peace, a bit of hiking. We had some crazy weather (very high winds the first night, tons of rain the second) and opted to head home a day early. Site was a bit dirty (trash left by previous campers) but Nathan offered us some firewood for the inconvenience.
We did the sensible rain insurance and they argued that it hadnât rained đ we had rain midnight Saturday night into Monday about 10am, so we did get some funds back through them but it was not automatic as advertised, and they claimed there was no rain to the area despite us getting about 6in Sunday. Site did get a tiny bit muddy but not bad!
Beware of ticks on you and furry friends (though thatâs no different anywhere in WNY)

This is a great site! We had the full campground to ourselves but even if we didnât it would have felt very private as both sites are very spread out. No issues getting our rav4 to the spot and the host was very responsive. The Porta potty was well kept and clean. We would absolutely come back if we were in the area!

We loved camping on Nathan's property. The peaceful seclusion, under a canopy of towering beech trees, was exactly what we were looking for. We heard foxes, a barred owl, some coyotes far in the distance, and noticed evidence of numerous other animals. Though there was ample space to pitch tents, it still felt as though we were nestled deep in the forest. The port-a-John was clean and equipped with necessities, too. 10/10 would recommend!

There were good spot to set up a tent and the covered pergola saved the day on account of rain. I'd only recommend car pooling as to save more space for activities. Also bring lights especially for night time it is wonderfully dark out there but could be tricky walking around at night without it. Overall great spot

We loved camping on Nathanâs land! Even with the rain (and waking up late, so getting there after dark of course) we were able to create a peaceful and comfortable environment for ourselves :)
Seclusion was very important to us so we were a little hesitant about there being another group at the campsite down the road, but we barely heard them the whole weekend! We saw a few of them by the potty (it was a huge group) but basically forgot they were there the rest of the time.
The portable potty was clean and very close!
The drive was absolutely lovely with lots of local farms and gorgeous sunsets. Though Nathan does offer bundles of firewood, a very nice local man offered us a few logs on one of our drives back to the campsite and talked to us about the 2 weeping willows on his property that his kids had planted 30 years ago! We made hot dogs over an open fire on one of nights, and burgers with meat from a grocery store about 20 minutes away! Thereâs also a wonderful little food joint called A Piece Of Pie that we visited twice! The food and vibes were immaculate, and there was a Big Lots down the road where we were able to get more lights, candles and snacks for the trip! Itâs about an hour away from Niagara so we were able to do a little day trip as well!
Oh and our puppy absolutely loved to be able to roam around freely! We will definitely be coming back soon, with more friends!

Stunning and spacious site. Great tent spots and plenty of options to cook - over the fire, wood fired oven or charcoal grill. Multiple fire pits and tables. Absolutely love the pergola. Only 20 mins to Zoar Valley entrances. Highly recommend.
Can get muddy when it rains, so come prepared. Significant glass and garbage remnants from the previous group.

Super quiet and secluded, despite being just off a road. The site was large and flat, perfect for my teardrop and our tent. It was the first night of our cross country trip and just perfect!

Due to a death in family we were not able to stay, however we did drive out to visit the site. It was after a torrential downpour and the site was muddy and flooded. It looked like a good party spot IF weather is dry. Itâs in the woods so bring bug spray.

Cute Spot in the Hills! (Site 2)

We stayed at Site 2 for 1 night and car camped. There was enough space for us to pull in and turn around so our car was facing the entrance, letting our hatch face open to the campground. BEWARE: it is a very hilly drive in depending on where youâre coming from. We came in from Buffalo and took the route closest to the creek, which was beautiful but the hills were very steep. My car is older but made it. If that scares you, take the longer way in through East Otto. Definitely worth the trip! The site was quiet, spacious, and well stocked with wood, benches, and two fire pits. The driveway into the site is short and thereâs barely any traffic. There are a few dips on your way in, drive slow. It also rained so there were a few muddy areas we avoided on the site. Over all, a peaceful stay.

Overall a good experience. The site itself was very muddy and uneven, hard to find a spot for the tent. Definitely wouldnât have made it without AWD. Very close to zoar valley and the creek!

Beautiful just bad luck
So the campsite was really nice and peaceful. Site 2-but be prepared if it rains the entryway is Soo muddy I had to park at the entrance. And the neighbors in site one went to wrong site and first then played pranks on us all night;however, the guy who got us in gave us a full refund and was very understanding even though it was not his fault. So nice site just happened to be near ass****s.

Site two was super cute with so many amenities (pergola, cute wood benches, fire pits, fire starter kit and fire wood to buy). Portapotty was very clean, and the site was beautiful. Reasonable distance into town for stores when need be, and pretty close to the creek for hiking/taking a dip. It was my friends first time camping and rain aside, this was a great experience for her

Site 1 was great! Very quiet and private. Barely any traffic on road. We could barely hear the campers at site 2 down the road. Just lots of wildlife sounds. Woodpeckers galore. Looking forward to going back.
