We had a great weekend camping at Nathanâs property! Nicely secluded and well kept site. Porta potty was definitely a bonus and super clean! Would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome camp site!

Beautiful piece of forest! We explored a little but mostly enjoyed the peace and quiet. The on site firewood and port a potty were nice to have. Well maintained site with tons of seating and tables. We will be back for sure!

A well kept campsite tucked back far from the road, and even further from the other available site. This location is very close to the parking area to access the gorge at Zoar Valley. If you are camping with the hopes of hiking for some beautiful views, this is the place.

wonderful well kept land with lots of space and amenities close to the water. nate was friendly, helpful and responsive. would recommend this space to anyone wanting to camp in the area.

This was well maintained, you could easily buy fire wood, the outhouse was close and well very clean, and the sites were well spaced from each other. Gorgeous spot. Highly recommend.

We loved camping at Zoar Valley Forest Retreat. Nathan was a great host; he answered all my questions immediately with more detail to add. The camping site itself was extremely isolated, easy to get to and beautiful to unwind and relax. We had enough space for our car, tent, canopy, and hammock with lots of space left over. The site was close enough to everything we needed (towns, shopping, nature sightseeingâ so many farms! etc.) but still distant enough that we felt we were completely alone (we were). We also drove an hour and some change up to Niagara Falls, which was absolutely amazing (I cried 3x), and spent the last day at Cattaragus Creek, which was straight out of a National Geographic magazine. The hike there and the swimming itself was phenomenal. I highly recommend this camping site and we would love to come back. Thanks, Nathan!

This is the second year in a row that my buddies and I took our kids here for some weekend camping and we had even more fun this time. Itâs quiet, clean, spacious, porta potty close by, counted about 5 cars going down the road all weekend and it was extremely hot and muggy this weekend but since the site is in the woods we were covered with shade and a nice cool breeze. Bugs werenât terrible either. Cattaraugus Creek is 6 miles away so you can go tubing, fishing or go for a nice walk since the water only gets about two feet deep in most spots with plenty of shores and mini islands. If youâre looking for a nice quiet spot to pitch a tent, not be around a bunch of people and just relax, this is the place for you! Itâs also pet friendly.

We really loved this campsite. It was very private and quiet. We had great campfires thanks to the availability of lots of dry wood. Everything was very clean and Nathan was responsive to all of our questions. We especially loved our hike into Zoar Valley. We walked on the Valentine Flats Trail, which ended at the confluence of two rivers.

I loved this site! Private and comfortably hosted myself and my friends for Memorial Day weekend. Close to a beautiful trail and easy access to the Gorge nearby, I highly recommend checking this place out! A family of owls lives nearby, donât be alarmed by the odd sounds at night- Barred Owls can sound somewhat like coyotes but it was very neat hearing them in the dark.

This site was great and would definitely come back! There were only 3 of us but also a great spot for larger groups. We got a lot of use out of the fire pit and pizza oven! Greatly appreciated that bundled of firewood was available for purchase. It had rained recently and site was easy to get in/out of. Lots of great trails a short drive away. Thanks for putting together such a great camp site!

One of the best campsites ever. I booked for Father's Day as a surprise but ended up having to cancel because of a conflict. My husband randomly booked this site, not knowing it was the same one I booked for him a few months earlier, so I guess it was meant to be! The sites are huge, big fire pit, private, and my dogs loved being off leash. Can't wait to go back in the summer!

This was a great, quiet site with a good fire pit, enough of an area for our two tents (a bit of a slope), and plenty of room for our dog to play. We enjoyed the peace, a bit of hiking. We had some crazy weather (very high winds the first night, tons of rain the second) and opted to head home a day early. Site was a bit dirty (trash left by previous campers) but Nathan offered us some firewood for the inconvenience.
We did the sensible rain insurance and they argued that it hadnât rained đ we had rain midnight Saturday night into Monday about 10am, so we did get some funds back through them but it was not automatic as advertised, and they claimed there was no rain to the area despite us getting about 6in Sunday. Site did get a tiny bit muddy but not bad!
Beware of ticks on you and furry friends (though thatâs no different anywhere in WNY)

This is a great site! We had the full campground to ourselves but even if we didnât it would have felt very private as both sites are very spread out. No issues getting our rav4 to the spot and the host was very responsive. The Porta potty was well kept and clean. We would absolutely come back if we were in the area!

We loved camping on Nathan's property. The peaceful seclusion, under a canopy of towering beech trees, was exactly what we were looking for. We heard foxes, a barred owl, some coyotes far in the distance, and noticed evidence of numerous other animals. Though there was ample space to pitch tents, it still felt as though we were nestled deep in the forest. The port-a-John was clean and equipped with necessities, too. 10/10 would recommend!

There were good spot to set up a tent and the covered pergola saved the day on account of rain. I'd only recommend car pooling as to save more space for activities. Also bring lights especially for night time it is wonderfully dark out there but could be tricky walking around at night without it. Overall great spot

We loved camping on Nathanâs land! Even with the rain (and waking up late, so getting there after dark of course) we were able to create a peaceful and comfortable environment for ourselves :)
Seclusion was very important to us so we were a little hesitant about there being another group at the campsite down the road, but we barely heard them the whole weekend! We saw a few of them by the potty (it was a huge group) but basically forgot they were there the rest of the time.
The portable potty was clean and very close!
The drive was absolutely lovely with lots of local farms and gorgeous sunsets. Though Nathan does offer bundles of firewood, a very nice local man offered us a few logs on one of our drives back to the campsite and talked to us about the 2 weeping willows on his property that his kids had planted 30 years ago! We made hot dogs over an open fire on one of nights, and burgers with meat from a grocery store about 20 minutes away! Thereâs also a wonderful little food joint called A Piece Of Pie that we visited twice! The food and vibes were immaculate, and there was a Big Lots down the road where we were able to get more lights, candles and snacks for the trip! Itâs about an hour away from Niagara so we were able to do a little day trip as well!
Oh and our puppy absolutely loved to be able to roam around freely! We will definitely be coming back soon, with more friends!
