šŸŒæ Private forested land against the ledge of Zoar Valley. Large, spacious campsite areas, good for groups. A rare location that is secluded and quiet, away from people and traffic. For those that want to feel isolated and immersed in nature and the forest. Includes seven acres to primitive camp on, or bring an RV/camper in (10ft clearance at gate). Each site has a picnic table, and brick fire pit. Pergola party shelter and brick oven located at Site 2. šŸ”’Locked gate at each site entrance from road for privacy and security. Site 1 is closer to the road, Site 2 is deeper in the woods, with adequate privacy and space between the two sites. ā™»ļø Take out what you take in, leave no trace. šŸŒ™ Porta potty toilet on site maintained regularly, shared between sites April-November šŸŒ³The campsite borders state forest to hike freely, and is about 1000ft until the top edge of the valley with beautiful vantage points of the valley. Drive down the road a few miles to the Forty Road trail head that leads to the creek down in Zoar Valley.

Site 2 - w/ Pergola party shelter
Cute Spot in the Hills! (Site 2)
We stayed at Site 2 for 1 night and car camped. There was enough space for us to pull in and turn around so our car was facing the entrance, letting our hatch face open to the campground. BEWARE: it is a very hilly drive in depending on where youā€™re coming from. We came in from Buffalo and took the route closest to the creek, which was beautiful but the hills were very steep. My car is older but made it. If that scares you, take the longer way in through East Otto. Definitely worth the trip! The site was quiet, spacious, and well stocked with wood, benches, and two fire pits. The driveway into the site is short and thereā€™s barely any traffic. There are a few dips on your way in, drive slow. It also rained so there were a few muddy areas we avoided on the site. Over all, a peaceful stay.

Site 2 - w/ Pergola party shelter
Overall a good experience. The site itself was very muddy and uneven, hard to find a spot for the tent. Definitely wouldnā€™t have made it without AWD. Very close to zoar valley and the creek!

Site 1 - Zoar Valley Forest Retreat Campsite
Beautiful just bad luck
So the campsite was really nice and peaceful. Site 2-but be prepared if it rains the entryway is Soo muddy I had to park at the entrance. And the neighbors in site one went to wrong site and first then played pranks on us all night;however, the guy who got us in gave us a full refund and was very understanding even though it was not his fault. So nice site just happened to be near ass****s.
