Creekside Owl Cove
Cozy Creekside in the Cold
Looking to avoid the campgrounds, for something more private and unique, my son, daughter and I really enjoyed our experience. Hesitant upon arrival, with the roadside/bridge entrance (Steep gravel drive). But seeing spacious yet private space bordered by the creek, road/bridge (with very occasional car or horse and buggy) and the old creek bed wall (~20' high) behind us, we knew it would be great.
Room for vehicles and tent. We had 2-wheel drive and it was dry, so we were fine (otherwise you'd want 4WD to get out). The site was mowed grass with trees on 3 sides, then an open area closer to the bridge with grassy creek access. The red port-o-john is a ~4 min walk.
It's November and we had beautiful days and cold nights. The water was clean and frigid, but my son did a polar bear plunge! Matt and Amy were good hosts. Her Dad even brought us a pile of wood. We'd camp here again.

Mountain Hike In
Had a great time at Matt’s walk in campsite. Was a uphill hike so be prepared for that and also do recommend if you have a 4x4 to bring it, my poor Prius barley made it half way. Overall great experience, nice private spot, Matt was super helpful.

Creekside Owl Cove
Perfect night.
All four of Matt spots are great. Each one is different so you have some variety. They are all very well spaced out as well. The land is located right in the middle of state forest and right next to Bald Eagle state park. Matt is an excellent host and you can't go wrong with any of his spots on his lovely farm.

Shady Maple By The Creek
Great spot, far from the modern world. Caught some fish, crawdad, nice and quiet at night. Would stay again!

Mountain Hike In
🏕️Awesome Site!⛰️
Wow. This is an awesome campsite! The journey begins by making a gradual ascent through the farm up to the woods with beautiful panoramic views along the way. After venturing further up through the woods, an ultra-private, secluded, spacious spot to yourself on top of the mountain is there to greet you. This perfectly primitive site has multiple flat areas for tents, a fire pit, bench, lantern, and plenty of wood. It's safe, quiet, and any sounds from the road are muted some by the elevation. Also, some adjacent trails to explore, which was great for walking the dogs. Openings in the trees overhead allowed for the starry central PA sky to be visible as well! This spot is worth the effort. Matt is an exceptional host, and it was nice to know he was available if I needed anything. Can't go wrong with any of his diverse sites.

Corn Field by Marsh Creek
We had a lovely stay with Matt and his family. We stayed at the corn field site, which had a fire ring, creek access, and plenty of room for two cars and tents. Quiet and simple.
Beef was delicious!
Would stay again.
