The property is easy to get to, yet it is remote enough to be wonderfully quiet and private. The over-all area is rich with farmlands and the dedicated people who provide us with our foods. There are not many areas of our USA that have the qualities of this part of Pennsylvania.

This was our first time booking on Hipcamp and I’m so happy we found Michael’s place. It was peaceful, quiet, private and relaxing. The location was perfect for us, being a short drive to State College. The port-a potty was much appreciated and being able to take a hot shower was a pleasant surprise. Michael personally met us upon arrival to help guide us where to park our truck and pull behind trailer, and to show us how things worked. The hospitality made us feel very welcome and right at home.

Great little spot! The host was very accommodating. She greeted us when we arrived and made us a special welcome packet. There was a hot shower for us and an outhouse which is a luxury while camping haha. All and all, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay and will be booking here again in the future!

Michael's camping spot was outstanding. He really went out of his way to help me out, was quick to respond and even gave me a personalized folder full of information of what to do in the area. The surrounding hills and countryside were outstanding. Nice open spot to camp on with my trailer. Would highly recommend seeking out Michael's camping spot if you're in that area of State College, Pennsylvania.

What a treat it was to camp on Mike and Heather’s hollow for a few nights. The quiet, the stars, the scenery… this place has it all. The Sunrise spot that we occupied had a real nice “nook” feel to it, a cozy little space with a nice view of the rolling fields nearby. The two other spots are similarly secluded on the expansive camping property. The location was great too, as it was off-the-beaten path but still just 20 minutes to some town amenities, restaurants, and State College. We had a great experience and can’t wait to get back!

The site is very clean and well maintained area. Michal hospitality and attention to detail was amazing. The bathroom and shower was very clean and thevhot water was a big plus. They had a nice welcome package with ideas of whatvto do around the area. They evn had treats for my dogs. Thankbyou.

Great secluded spots. Nice touch with available outside hot water shower . Host was more than welcoming. Thinking the sites would be really nice in the Fall. Huge night skies with zero light pollution. Definitely would go back! (Pro tip; Bring some leveling blocks..)

This was one of my best guest experiences I’ve ever had. Michael was very kind and attentive, the spot was well kept and he was there to guide us into the spot when we arrived late. The showers were hot and had no trouble using them. Highly recommend for travelers looking for a pit stop.

We had a wonderful stay at this serene Hipcamp. Our host, Michael, was truly exceptional—he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing a thoughtful goodie bag and an informative pamphlet about the area. The property itself was exactly what you imagine when thinking of off-grid camping: peaceful, surrounded by nature, and full of charm. We spotted deer and bunnies during our stay, which added to the magic. We're already looking forward to coming back and spending even more time here

I took my son on his first camping trip here, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Michael, his wife, and their children were some of the most hospitable hosts we’ve ever encountered. They went out of their way to help create a special memory for my son by allowing him to fish in their beautiful pond. The property itself is serene and well cared for, and the thoughtful welcome packet was a lovely touch. We felt so welcomed and supported throughout our stay.

Awesome secluded location perfect for my truck with rooftop tent. Would also work great for ground tents. The bathroom and shower were a big perk! Michael was a great host, will definitely be back!

We loved camping here again. The bell tent site is beautiful, surrounded by birdsong and flowering bushes at this time of spring. We were lucky to have some beautiful clear skies and warm weather for our visit and really enjoyed the peacefulness and solitude. Mike and Heather are always so welcoming and friendly! Michael and Heather’s campsites are stunning!! The campsites look beautiful, they gave me a welcome packet which was very kind and thoughtful, and have a hot water shower! I absolutely loved this camping experience! The hosts were so helpful, welcoming and accommodating. I couldn’t get over the beautiful outdoor (enclosed) shower and sparkling clean portapotty. Micheal met me and showed me to the spot along with providing a thorough folder of information and local attractions - let’s not forget the little welcome gift bag! I felt very safe being alone with my pup. If I’m ever back down this way, it’ll be the site I stay at again. Thank you!

We really enjoyed staying at Michael's land, it was wonderful to be the only guest there and have privacy and sleep under dark skys. There were no neighbors close by, to that was also a plus! We were seeking solitute. thank you!

Michael’s sites have a nice amount of space between them, and our site was such a great place to enjoy nature, birds and stars. Michael & family were very welcoming and beyond helpful throughout our stay. Great place to camp near State College for a Penn State game with the perks of a toilet and shower!

Great spot and friendly host with lots of local knowledge. If you enjoy boondocking style of camping, this is your spot…with the added bonus of a shower & toilet. Centrally located for PSU games, fishing the little J, rothrock state forest, and several state parks.

My husband and I (and our fur baby) had such a great weekend camping at Mike and his wife’s Hipcamp. We dropped off our daughter at Penn State to visits a friend and we spent our weekend camping. The campsite is in a beautiful and peaceful setting about 30 minutes from Penn State set out on spectacular country roads. He has a porta potty and a hot shower available for use if needed. Mike and his wife were super sweet and made us feel very welcome. Mike even brought us a folder of “Events in town” and color pelts for the fire. We would highly recommend this spot and are hoping to go back again! Thank you both for making our weekend getaway so memorable!

This spot is a gorgeous little patch of farm land, situated in the mountains south of State College. Each camping spot has their own fire ring and the Rv spot has plenty of space for creating an outdoor kitchen or tossing a frisbee. There is a solar powered, propane heated shower and a porta potty that were well maintained. The area is very quiet and the family that operates this camp site is so responsive. The firewood bundles are large. You can tell they care about their campers and they had great recommendations for local hikes and activities. Amazing space for families with kids. Our daughter loved hiking around. The fall foliage was beautiful. Highly recommend!!
