Enjoy the private back acre of our 2-acre parcel. RV parking is separated from the main house by a barn and Morton building. Set up camp overlooking what used to be a grassy yard, but is now a walkable wildflower meadow. Enjoy the meadow paths and entire property's yard. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times - our dog is friendly, but will also be leashed when outside. The house and barn were built in the late 1800s and are currently being restored. There will be no construction activity during your stay, but there may be assorted projects in process visible near buildings. Please do not enter buildings unless accompanied by a property owner. Many restaurants, breweries, distilleries and parks are just minutes away in Bellefonte! When visiting them, we recommend going straight out of our driveway onto Clemens instead of turning right onto Valentine Hill. Valentine has tight turns that are a challenge to navigate in an RV or with a trailer.

Let your children and dogs roam free without a leash. This property is remote and private. There are no neighbors nearby. This location is; twenty minutes north of I-76 Turnpike Willow Hill Exit forty-five minutes from Raystown Lake one hour and thirty minutes north of Gettysburg one hour and thirty minutes south of PSU three hours east of Pittsburgh three hours west of Philadelphia five hours west of NYC There is some cell service, but it is limited. Can you hear me now? Be sure to save site information on your phone before you leave, in case you lose cell-service. This is not Alaska, but it is not a KOA campground, either. We recommend you print of bring a paper map. Your GPS will not bring you to the exact driveway location. You need to be personally observant. This is the top of a mountain ridge. The access lane is steep, rocky, and has water erosion ditches you must drive over. Do not attempt this if you have a low profile car or a new/fragile camper. 4WD/AWD is highly recommended. Low profile and fancy cars are not recommended. This camping site is for those who want to live ruggedly like Lewis Clark. To see the water ditches you must drive over, go to YouTube and search "Wilbur's Shed - Blairs Mills", and it is the account of a cat with a white face. This location is in a mix of farmland and mountain Appalachia. You will see common species such as chipmunks, squirrels turkey and deer. Many bird species. There are also porcupines, skunks, and black snakes around. You may also see black bear - it is rare, but possible. You are visiting wildlife species in their natural habitat. Please be self-aware of your own level comfort with wildlife. Once again, this is not an RVs park where you will socialize with a hundred other campers. This is primitive and isolated. This is an ideal camping spot if you want to escape from people. Nearby is the Tuscarora Creek which is excellent for trout fishing. The Tuscarora has a small but lovely window for kayaking from mid-March through the end of May. Please contact the host if you would like help to plan some paddle logistics. Rental through Hipcamp does not include hunting or the use of firearms, nor the use of dirt bikes and ATVs.

The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. Well its not much of a farm, Rather a secluded grass farm field with goldenrod at the foot of the Elizabethville mountian. It is only 1.8 miles off the Route 25 approximately 1/2 hour drive north of Harrisburg. It is down a dirt road through the woods. At the edge of the field is the woods of the mountian. It has a small stream flowing throgh the woods. Not alot of light pollution so you will be sure to enjoy the starry night sky. Close to alot of neat placed and things to do. The area has a thriving Amish community (We can help you connect to a Amish family) with alot of little roadside stands . Plenty of unique shopping experiences, Flea Flickers, Hornings Country Market, Colemans Miltary Surpluss, Hoovers Market, Shops on Main and More. Walmart and fast foods only 8 miles. There is wildlife , You may see deer wander through or grazing near by. This site is a work in progress and may have more improvements till you arrive. There are 3 campsites and one cabin located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

Originally opened as a family campground owned and operated by Denis and Kay Snyder in 1964. Bald Eagle Campsite has been owned and operated by the Snyder family to this day! Come join us in the beautiful forested landscape of Central Pennsylvania. Located a mere 20 miles south of Penn State University, we are surrounded by the many amenities Central PA has to offer. We are welcoming to LGBTQ+ campers as well as all ethnicities. Pitch a tent on a quiet site and drop a line into one of our two trout streams crossing the campground. Hang a hammock between two towering poplar trees surrounded by flowering rhododendron. Or pull up in your camper and relax before and after a Penn State Football game under the blue and white sky. We have small, secluded sites to get away from it all, as well as conjoined sites to accommodate larger groups. On property we have bathrooms, hot showers, and a recreation hall with free ping pong, board games, and billiards. For a fee, we also have firewood, electricity, and a large event tent for rent. Campers must be less than 24 feet. Generators are not allowed. Music should not reach outside your own site after 9pm. There are no water hookups. Vehicle noise is audible from route 350, especially on Friday afternoons. Noise is diminished at sites further back from route 350. Our sites are wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms and showers do have one step up into them. Walk to Snappy's 24-hour convenience store to use their free Wi-Fi, buy bags of ice, or to pickup snacks and a sub in the attached Snappy's Grille. An ice cream stand and restaurant are within walking distance. We require a minimum two nights stay for the recognized holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Absolutely beautiful experience. Great value. Will definitely be back. We will try the cabin next time we can. Used the camper this time. Camper had heat. Its quiet up there and Absolutely beautiful. Emus were fun to watch and just coming running when they see you. Couldn't have ask for a better experience. Weather was a little chilly Saturday but thats not their fault and the fact the heat worked was helpful. One small note. If you have physical disabilities, it can be alot of walking but you can drive your vehicle right to the toilet. Everything else is some walking.

This place has is all! Beautiful outdoors with birds chirping and the river moving swiftly. The owners were very kind. It was our first time using our camper and Rob took the time to explain how to fill up our water and empty our tank. We were able to utilize the fantastic back porch area, which was outfitted with tons of furniture, cooking equipment/tools, spices, coffee/tea, a fridge, fireplaces and games. We will definitely be back next year for some tubing, weather permitting.

Great spot well away from other sites and literally right on the water. Heavy cover from trees so nice and shady. Site was not very "buggy" and nobody in my party got a tick though we did employ repellent. Flat space is somewhat at a premium but you can definitely place 2-3 tents. Access is via fairly steep stairs and slope but there is a railing. I would say hiking boots are a necessity. Those with leg mobility issues are probably better off at the other sites which are more easily accessed. Moderate rain for most of the trip raised the creek level a bit but not to where there was any fear of cresting the edge. Very clean porta-potty maybe 75-100' away on the access road. 24-hour Sunoco/7-11 about a 10-15 minute drive away. Mark is a great host, very communicative and responsive. Cost of wood was very reasonable.

My husband and our dog had a great time at Linda and Janet's camp they are very friendly and welcoming to everyone! When you get to the campground it's not like most you are used to...ita a bit more rustic yet all your basic needs are met here.sadly the road is close by and you can hear it but you get used to it as you cannot see it through the trees and shrubbery that is everywhere and your campsites are more private and more tucked into the landscape rather thwn just having a field with rows of campsites.this is a magical forested place that you will want to come back to again and again , a fairytale campground that you won't find very often.

Weekend Trip to White Squirrel Campsite Poperties

This was our second time camping at White Squirrel and it was by far one of the best camping trips to date. White Squirrel has undergone a massive renovation since our first visit back in 2024. The camp site has been upgraded to having a full bathroom and hot/cold shower on site vs having to walk down to the pavilion. In addition, the platform structure has been fully finished into a composite deck lookout complete with lighting, Adirondack chairs, tables and electricity access. The views remain some of the best in all of Halifax, PA and truly a picture perfect camp site for both car and tent camping. Our group of 8 had no problem fitting on the site. Overall, I highly recommend White Squirrel and can't wait until our return!

We absolutely LOVED staying at the barn! It was very secluded and we got to enjoy a beautiful countryside view. There’s a really nice firepit to have a campfire at while you watch the stars at night. Super easy to get to, nice flat level concrete pad with 30amp hookups along with sewer and water. Lots of space for parking. We had no issues and we have a 46ft beast of a 5th wheel! Ben and his family were so sweet and helpful. We stayed for 2 weeks. We also travel with 2 big shepherds and a medium sized dog. They loved running and playing in the fields!

The whole experience could not have gone better. The site is near the road, which is convenient, but still secluded. It is well kept and has everything you need. The water, septic and electric are all newer and easy access. The owner, Kevin, made a point to stop by and introduce himself. We would definitely stay at the site again.
