This site has everything, even though it's next to a road with moterate traffic, there's a big area that was mowed for the kids to play or for dogs to run, there's water, septic, electric, wood and it's shaded, it will handle big rigs, everything! We even saw a bear! We spent most of our time at Whipple Dam State Park that was around 2 miles from the site. We also enjoyed Green Wood Furnace State Park about 7 miles away, there's lots of hiking, fishing, swimming, everything in the area!

This is a paradise spot! Kevin keeps the property in perfect condition with plenty of firewood. Explored different state parks and hike around the area. Kevin also has trails on the property which was great after cooking dinner. I look forward to coming back and exploring more of the area! Kevin mentioned a placed called 1,000 steps, so that will be on the list next!

The whole experience could not have gone better. The site is near the road, which is convenient, but still secluded.
It is well kept and has everything you need. The water, septic and electric are all newer and easy access.
The owner, Kevin, made a point to stop by and introduce himself.
We would definitely stay at the site again.

Although the site was close to the road, it was very private and roomy. We enjoyed walking the trails around the property. We even saw a deer the one morning! the full hookup site was just as advertised -Easy to get into with plenty of room to maneuver.

This place is amazing! Large gravel loop, full hookups, free firewood! And a large yard for kids and dogs to run and play. There is Whipple Dam State Park just 2 miles down the road with a beach, hiking, and kayaking. Kevin is so nice. Warning, if you arrive after dark, ask Kevin to meet you as it is hard to see at night.

Wonderful host. Clean, level, and spacious RV site with shore power and water (no sewer hookup). Convenient to local attractions, but far enough away to find a little peace. Includes fire pit, lots of seasoned firewood, and a CLEAN picnic table. Thank you!!

I loved staying on this site. With four dogs, there was plenty of room to walk them, including a small path through the woods. The lot, for the most part, is level (I only had to bump up my passenger side a little). As someone who is not so good in reverse with my Class C, or anything on wheels for that matter, I appreciated the drive in, slight back up to the hook ups, and then drive out around the loop. The owners live on the neighboring property, however the house was barely visible through the trees. Kevin rode his 4 wheeler over to introduce himself. I love the are, as it offers so many hiking possibilities and will definitely be back to stay at 4722 Retreat!

We enjoyed a peaceful three day getaway, despite the first two days being on the wet side, at Hickory, with our six kids. We really enjoyed the privacy of the spot along with the close proximity to several parks. Kevin and his wife came to meet us our first night there and were extremely welcoming, even offering to help us if we found to be in need of anything. While the campsite is near the road, traffic wasn’t terrible, and pretty much non existent after dark. There was plenty of room for our kids to run around, play toss and catch, and burn off energy. The amenities were top notch from a clean and easy hookup spot, picnic table, beautiful trail to take a short walk through and free firewood, which our kids enjoyed splitting each night. Kevin and his wife even took the time to make a list of some favorite local spots to visit, from the parks, food, swimming, fishing etc. We will absolutely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in the area. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Easily accessible gravel parking loop, large grass area for our tent, firewood included, picnic table, fire pit. Clean, private, scenic 20 minute drive to Penn State. I’d stay again.

We booked this site looking for somewhere private, and we were definitely not disappointed. The site is just off a main road with houses around, but once we were on the property we couldn't see any neighbors, so it was like our own private campground. RV site was easy to back into, and full hook-ups were all functional. Lots of state parks and other places for hiking that were a short drive away. Great spot for a relaxing getaway!

We are so glad to have found this camp site for our 26’ travel trailer! Kevin is a very responsive host; he answered all of our questions promptly. And the site was just what we wanted for the weekend. Great location for hiking and Penn State. To top it off, Kevin’s wife shared some delicious treats from her bakery. Hope to return!

Awesome, level spot with hookups (we had the wrong connection for electrical but it worked out fine). Dogs had a ton of room to run and hosts were super nice. One wheelbarrow of wood as promised and we barely put a dent in it. Upgrades may be coming to this site soon as well!

We have a 40 ft travel trailer and had no issues fitting it at this spot. There is plenty of room to spread out and set up camp for a few days. Kevin is very nice and attentive to his renters. The free firewood everyday is a great added bonus. Site is close enough to the college and also several state parks/forests.

Great site. It's great being solo and still have full hook ups. Property was big and has a trail through the woods. Only 25 minutes from Raystown Lake overlook. The firewood was a nice addition. Will definitely book again.

This place is perfect access to State College for PSU game day. Large and flat camping area, clean, great full hookup and well removed from the road. Kevin and Terri are wonderful hosts who deliver a wheelbarrow of firewood every day. I’m really torn about leaving a review because it would be great to keep this place a secret - but Kevin and Terri deserve everyone to know how perfect this property is for even a larger rv.

We loved camping on Kevin’s property. He was friendly, attentive, and supplied firewood which was wonderful so we did not have to haul it with our camper. Hookups were great and there was even a little trail around the property. 30 minutes from the Lincoln Caverns which also made for a fun day in the area.

We loved our camping trip! This site was well maintained, easy to hookup and easy to park. Kevin was super responsive and went above and beyond. He gave us a list of nearby things to do and made sure we were settled in after we arrived. Having a picnic table, fire pit AND a huge pile of wood, made it even cozier! Thank you Kevin and we will see you next time :-)
