Kathy was super responsive, very helpful and the creek out back was beautiful...quiet spot with a level parking spot very close to Coulton State Park and not a far drive to Corning, NY.

Peaceful Mountain Stream
Hubby, 7 year old rescue pup and I stayed at Kathy’s land in Gaines, PA. We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure exploring this beautiful area ~ biked the rail trail from Darling Run, hiked the Turkey and Rim trails from Colton Point State Park, hung out in Pine Creek to cool off. Perfect place to reset, relax, rest and embrace peace and quiet!
Was an easy pull through site with a fire pit, picnic table, 30 amp electricity and potable water. Would highly recommend! Thank you Kathy!!

Peaceful Mountain Stream
Lovely property to take a little break from reality. It was clean and had a good area mowed to be able to walk around as well as play with our dog. The path along the creek to get to the bench was nice as well. We tried to do a little fishing a couple times but we only caught a couple little natives. It was still fun, it's just not a big stocked creek. The only downfall of this hipcamp in our opinion was that the house can also be rented out. If the house is being rented by people then you lose your privacy due to the way the house is overlooking the back yard where you set up your tent and relax by the fire pit. So you kind of feel like all eyes are on you from all the windows and deck. As well as the concern that someone may walk down on you while going to the bathroom outdoors. So if you're looking for something private and personal like we were, you may want to inquire about the house being rented or not. As for the host Kathy, she was great. Very responsive, helpful, and kind.

Peaceful Mountain Stream
Nice mowed walking paths in backyard at the creek. Very pretty near the water. Pulling an RV it was convenient having a loop driveway and nice that there is electric and water at the site. We brought our own Solo fire pit, but they did provide one near the RV site and one in backyard, as well as wood. Hosts were friendly and responsive to questions. Directions were very clear and accurate. We didn’t have any issues. Thank you for providing information about Pine Creek Outfitters for our kayaking! The weather was unseasonably cold the first two nights and we were thankful for the camp fire and our RV heater! The cold didn’t last long … the day we kayaked it was sunny and hot! We traveled with a dog and he remained in the trailer with air conditioning that day. Be aware that there is no shade at the site. It’s conveniently located to enjoy the area attractions. Very nice place! We would stay again.

I loved the stream and how attentive the hosts were! It was very peaceful, and Kathy gave some great recommendations of places to hike nearby!! My boyfriend and I also went stargazing at a nearby state park called Cherry Springs!

Peaceful Mountain Stream offers a serene escape with plenty of space to unwind by the campfire next to the tranquil stream. The host was incredibly welcoming, providing all the firewood we needed and ensuring a comfortable stay with electrical, water hookups, and Wi-Fi. Mornings brought sightings of deer and turkeys, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. We loved the forest path with a bench for reading or relaxing in nature. A short drive to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon made it easy to explore stunning views and hiking trails.

Kathy is super helpful, full of tips for all recreational places to go! The BEST tip was the fishing/swimming holes in the creek just right around the bend, my Newfie had a BLAST swimming there😊!! The property was so beautiful, a short walk to the stream from the site. That particular area is where she puts tent campers… just an amazing place to ‘disappear!’

My stay on Kathy's land was nothing short of spectacular! The area is breathtaking and peaceful. I enjoyed fishing in the creek and being lulled to sleep by a small waterfall. Kathy was easily reachable and responded to messages quickly. Her recommendations of the surrounding area were fantastic!

Not far off the highway on paved road. Nice level gravel parking near the water faucet and electric. Walk behind the house to experience the stream’s babble to relax after your long day on the road.

Such an amazing weekend to relax and unwind on this beautiful property! We arrived and made the short walk down to the area where we tent camped. Spent a weekend surrounded by wildflowers that smelled amazing, so many birds, and even more butterflies. The site itself had mowed walking trails, and a cute bench in front of waterfall that you can hear cleanly as you fall asleep at night. A quick 2 minute drive to a public area, that was nearly empty, allowed for a small beach area, a gorgeous waterfall, wading area with a deep swimming hole, even more butterflies! The water was so cold but we enjoyed wading, and skipping rocks. Every person we met in town were so welcoming! Toen was about a 5 minute, beautiful drive away. We had breakfast at Mae's Cafe, delicious AND affordable! Nittany gas station had the best munchie food! Their mac and cheese bites had us headed there a few times!
Communication with the host was seamless, both through hipcamp, and a phone call on our arrival.
Our original plan was to meet my daughter halfway between college and our home for a Birthday weekend, and have our Dog tag along. We didn't end up bringing our pup because we had never been to the area, but we absolutely should have! Next time, for sure!

Very nice property right on atv route but also quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't want the crowds of a regular campground. We are looking forward to returning.

It was a rainy weekend, but we were still able to enjoy the property in between showers and clouds. Take time to walk to the creek and sit on the bench there. Water and electric were easy access and don't require lengthy hoses or cords. Due to the weather, we couldn't take advantage of the picnic table or campfire ring. The drive-in is somewhat of an decline but otherwise clear and accessible. We had extremely spotty cell coverage and no wifi all weekend. Recommend marking any sightseeing prior to arriving. Be sure to include the Bradley Wales Vista in your plans. Thanks again!

A truly wonderful experience camping at this site with the sites. Hosts greetings..
Camping area for trailer is well equipped and set in area fully lit, maintaining a sense of safety and security.
Meanwhile, you have access to an entire camping area near a Stream that is private serene and truly a wonderful experience.
The campsite is the strategically located near many of the hiking trails that make the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, such a wonderful place to visit.
I highly recommend this site.
