As others have already mentioned, Barry's place is amazing! The site is completely private, right on the creek. There are two fire pits, a porta potty, very comfortable bunk beds in the tent. Barry and his son, Sean were very kind hosts. Barry met us at the entrance and took us to the site. He was thorough in explaining everything to us. His son Sean dropped off some firewood and spring water for our stay. They even invited us to join them for food on Sunday after their church service they were hosting. The highlights of our stay included swimming in the creek, fishing in their pond, seeing a bald eagle and the hundreds of fireflies that came out at night! If you are looking for a private, peaceful retreat in nature, this place is perfect.

Talk about off the grid—this place is 100% that. You take a cool dirt and gravel trail back to your site, which is completely secluded. The creek running alongside the rock wall makes for a one-of-a-kind experience. I highly recommend this location, and Barry was an awesome host who was incredibly accommodating.

My husband and I booked our stay for our first wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful time and made long lasting memories. The camp area is perfectly set up for cooking and enjoying the fire at night and snuggling up in a warm tent at the end of the day. There’s also amazing fishing for my husband in great trails for us to walk with the dog. We would love to come back again. The host was amazing and offered to help us with whatever we needed.

Wonderful private spot on the river with beautiful spaces to walk around, and a nice cooking and picnic area. Barry met us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we need. Enjoyed the one night getaway!

My family and I have camped here on several occasions now and it’s always great. Elk Creek is just outside the door of the tent with a gushing waterfall on the other side of the stream that is really great to listen to while you sit on the deck out front and read a book or if you choose to head to bed and just listen to the peepers and the water, that’s great too! We can’t wait to try a winter adventure at the site and fish for steelhead.

We had such a great stay! The site was right along the creek—super peaceful and relaxing. We loved walking in the creek, cooking over the fire, and hanging out by the campfire at night. The setup was beautiful, and Barry was a wonderful, welcoming host. We can’t wait to go back!

We cant express how stunning this property is. The pictures simply don't do it any justice. Barry and his son were wonderful hosts during our stay. They provided plenty of fire wood and water. The bed was comfortable and the tent was cozy. They did offer a heater in case we were too cold at night but we were just fine. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the creek were incredible. Saw my first bald eagle in real life! We couldn't be happier. This site has now become a tradition for us. Cant wait to visit again

My dog and I had an amazing time camping on Barry’s land! We had everything we needed and Barry was thoughtful enough to bring us some spring water, which saved me from having to get in my car to restock! They also supplied us with plenty of dry wood for our campfire. The views were breathtaking! We had so much fun exploring the property and hiking through Elk Creek. We will definitely be back!

Barry’s place is perfect if you like a peaceful setting, being surrounded by nature, listening to a creek, enjoying a lovely fire. Slept like a baby and woke up to a cool breeze, babbling creek and an eagle flying by. Hope to be back in the fall. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place.

10/10 Everything is perfect! Property and site are clean and beautiful. Lots of items included, 2 fire pits, a hammock, nice comfy bed and beautiful view of the creek. Creek was also so clean and warm. Very campers, Barry and his son are great!

We loved our stay at Barry’s place. It was so peaceful and secluded. The river was perfect. It was clean and great for the kids and dog to play in. The campsite was stocked with all our needs and there was so much wood provided! Barry and his son even brought us 5 gallons of local spring water. They were helpful in every way! We will definitely be back!

A private piece of heaven. Barry is amazing. If you want a beautiful spot to fish or just do a lil camping, this spot is perfect. We explored the huge creek and watched the bald eagles fly over all day long. Barry has this place set up perfectly. Once you see it you won't want to leave..been back twice now.. definitely going to make it a third. ❤️😁

Absolutely stunning scenery and equally as wonderful hospitality. Fantastic communication, thoughtfully stocked camp, AND they had a campfire waiting for us!
We woke up to a golden eagle soaring along the creek side, splashed & explored, and we even saw a bald eagle!
Truly a weekend of core memories.

Barry was a fantastic host and the land was beautiful. Walking around the property and watching our pup play in the creek were highlights of an amazing weekend. Saw several eagles fly down the creek, and the lightning bugs were absolutely amazing. Would love to come back again soon.

We love Barry’s land and have stayed multiple times. The eagles were flying over the river and an unbelievable amount of lightning bugs were out in the fields and in the trees. We took river tubes and were able to tube down the river a bit when the water level came down after having rained a lot the day before.

Fantastic property with a great creek view from the tent. Saw bald eagles flying through the creek every morning, one even carrying a large bass. It was a chilly weekend but Barry provided a propane heater to keep the tent warm and dry fire wood for a cooking/camp fire. We arrived really late at night and they had a campfire burning and showed us the property.

Outstanding camp! Worth every penny!
Barry provided everything you need and more! From heat and bunkbeds in the tent to fish in the river and pond! I even caught 2 bass in the pond!
All the woods, supplies, and necessities we needed to have a great experience! I will be back!

Would recommend and would go again! This was our first trip using Hipcamp and I was impressed. Barry was a fantastic host. Great communication and was happy to provide us with anything we needed. The property is secluded. You can only hear nature. The view of the creek and the camp site were instantly relaxing. Everything you love about camping without the set up and take down.

This place is so beautiful!! My kids have always loved Elk Creek, but this place is like something in a magazine. It is such a good place for some rest and relaxation. We brought our son here with some friends for his 12th birthday! This place and Barry is amazing!! This place is worth every penny!!

Barry’s land is very quiet and peaceful. The camp site is very well drained with no standing puddles anywhere. There is plenty of room to park several larger vehicles. The tent keeps everything dry during rainy days and does not leak. There is a portable propane heater if you need to warm up the inside of the tent. The site is pet friendly with several larger areas to walk them. There was plenty of dry firewood to use for campfires. It’s a Great Place to just get away and enjoy some down time. We hope to stay there again soon.

Absolutely perfect. This is the second time a I’ve booked this campsite and there’s a reason. Barry is a great host, provides everything you’d need for a camping weekend and the view and privacy of the site are amazing. The property is beautiful and such a nice place to walk around and camping right on Elk Creek is so beautiful. They provide plenty of fire wood, picnic table with some cooking supplies, a glamping tent, a hammock and give you water from the spring up the road for washing up. I can’t say enough good things about this place and the host. It’s breathtaking
