Weekend Trip to FernRock Retreat
We had an incredible trip. Very private, very moving. There's lots of energy on this property.
We didn't have a long stay so we didn't socialize too much but Sandy and John were incredibly kind and welcoming when we did need to talk.

Casey’s land was the perfect weekend getaway for a group of friends, family, and dog(s). We had access to the local creek to swim, a gorgeous view of the sunset and stars at night. It was close enough to stores that we could run out if need be, but we just as easily felt removed from our every day living. Would definitely recommend!!

I definitely recommend this place to anyone willing to enjoy nature. We went hiking along the creek and it was a nice walk. We enjoyed getting our footwear full of mud and we were also able to catch and release river crabs. That's an amazing experience. Sandy is such a sweet host. We me John when we were leaving because he is always working. Fire pit in the labyrinth is such a great experience.

Weekend Trip to FernRock Retreat
We are a family from Ukraine, outdoor recreation is an integral part of our lives, we thank God that we were lucky enough to visit this place, every part of which is made with love and care. Sandy and John are incredibly friendly and sincere people (God bless you). The house has its own history and you will feel it, it is a place of recharge and renewal! Best tent site I have ever been to! It was in the middle of the nature yet accessible by network and close to the town. The water was very refreshing and I did not feel like leaving. Would definitely come back here.

We loved camping here! We had Tent Site #1 which had plenty of room for 6 of us. It was secluded and the water accessibility was so lovely. Literally my only complaints were that the campsite was covered with gravel which my little dog’s feet didn’t love (or my bare feet!), and that there seemed to a very large family that came through to use the grassy area and tent site near the waterfall cabin for day use only, which took away from some of the amenities that paid campers were entitled to. Other than that, we’ll absolutely be back again!

I absolutely adore Mystic Hollow <3 it’s so tranquil. Mel is a kind host who works hard to make sure her guests needs are met. There was a lot of space especially for a holiday weekend. Mel was also flexible with our campsite position due to the weather which was nice. 10/10 I’ll be back!

Bullpine was wonderful. We had a lovely spot for the tent and hammock nestled in the trees and our kids could play in the meadow or at the creek and still be within earshot. It exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return.

2 nights at Fairview Farms Airfield
It was awesome, I was originally worried it was too close to a house but no, it was in a grassy knoll, the tree gave shade and the hammock by the water was an awesome place to read a book.the tree house held the three of us like champs. We took the liberty of ordering some add one like the unlimited package so I could have no worries on supplies and we rented a kayak and John boat. Bill was awesome because we brought the wrong vehicle to take them to the lake so he let us slide him a measly 25.00 bucks n he delivered them and picked them up so we could still enjoy the water..im excited to hear they are open year around so we will be back for some winter camping

We had an awesome time at Camp Dietrich! Scott was an amazing host and we can’t wait to come back! The campsites are very secluded, beautiful, and well stocked with camping essentials. Anything you could need is available to borrow from the checkpoint shed, just show up with a cooler of food, some downloaded tunes(no service at our campsite) and relax. It was my girlfriend’s first time camping and she loved camp Dietrich. We spent 3 days exploring the trails and laying in the creek, but would definitely come back just for the waterfall. I like to try new campsites but will certainly be staying here again on our next trip! We left with a cool wooden bear sculpture Scott’s son carved. Pictures don’t do this site justice you should see it for yourself! Thanks Scott and Christina!

On our way through, we stopped at C.R. for one weeknight, on our way through. Check-in was easy and the host recommended tent sites for proximity to the bathhouse, which was really helpful. We were the only non-seasonal campers that night and even though it was the week leading up to the fourth of July, it was completely quiet and peaceful. The bathhouse was clean, and in very good shape for its age. The grounds were equally well kept. The water valves were spring-loaded so that they shut off once you release them (not a timed close but immediately returns to "off" position). This probably saves a lot of wasted water but does take a bit to get used to and does require you to shower with one hand. There were also amenities such as the camp store, a playground, and game room which we didn't get to use but looked nice. We will definitely keep C.R. in mind should we come through this way again. P.S. very thick deer population so use care when arriving at dusk.

A hidden gem. Beautiful owners and staff. The wine ciders are so delicious, as is the food. We hope to come back for a concert and just some weekend getaways and good energies. Thank you Tom, Tammy, Annie, Billie, Jen and all the others who interacted with us during our stay and all those behind the scenes.
