Cool primitive spot at the top of a PA mountain. Views are good, road up is slightly gnarly but worth it.
Didn’t hear any road noise or gunfire like other reviews stated but maybe we got lucky.
If you’re truck bed or rooftop camping bring something to help level out your setup.
Would recommend.
I had a great time here, I just wish I stayed for the full weekend! I loved the privacy, the views, and most of all the trails. This is the first time I took my puppy camping and it was great to have him off leash so I can train him🙂

Nice spot, fun drive up to the site, would recommend a 4x4 vehicle, definitely helpful. Our two dogs loved exploring, site is secluded which is awesome. You can hear some traffic from the road below from time to time and we also heard some gun shots during the day, probably from the range close by, we come from a similar area so it didn’t bother us much. It was a great chill spot during the day and the sky at night was beautiful. Overall a great spot! Thanks for sharing it Matt!

This place was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. A peaceful spot in the mountains, not too far from live activity but far enough to relax and not be bothered. 100% will be back to camp again.
The site is on top of a hill and the area to set up camp is on a downslope. It wasn’t horrible but everything from tent, cots to table items gravity did its thing and everything slid downward. We prefer a flat area to set up our sleeping area, all the rest is what it is. There were plenty of rocks to level out the tables, & cots. The site itself was okay, wide open, plenty of room to set up, plenty of downed trees/sticks for the fire pit. Sleeping wasn’t quiet, there was gunfire for hours one night, loud cars/cycles another night and Jake brake trucks another night. We expected to be in the woods, away from others and quiet which was disappointing. There is a stream where you enter which was nice on the hot days for us and our dogs and overall it’s a nice place to chill minus the minor issues discussed above.

If you're looking for seclusion and serenity, this is the spot for you. Just beautiful. Four-wheel drive highly recommended to access the site, but my VW Tiguan and my brother's Subaru Crossttek had no problems.
10/10 for privacy. No bells and whistles just the basics. Property is beautiful. Would recommend for anyone looking to unplug.
My stay here was amazing. From the start Matt was polite and gave quick thorough responses. It is pretty “out there” in a good way but keep that in mind for cell service for those worried about it. When arriving you will see why 4wd is suggested but as the conditions were good on the day we camped we did it in 2wd so it can be done. You are FAR off the beaten path and if there are any houses nearby you can’t see them. Others mentioned car noise which is barely visible when searching and can really only be heard if you are trying to hear it as well. As for the actual campsite it was equipped with a fire ring, some fallen trees for firewood/kindling, decently flat surrounding for tents.
Pros: privacy, location, firepit, gated entrance, solo site,great host
Cons driveway could be an issue for a small percentage of cars or in winter.

The summit was a wonderful place to spend the night. Our host sent us fantastic directions via email and was super friendly and responsive through text.
Anyone looking to rent this site be cautioned that the hosts recommends a 4x4 vehicle for a reason. The climb is pretty steep and can be muddy. If you’ve got the vehicle for it though it’s a pretty fun drive.
The actual campsite is pretty spacious and secluded. The fire ring was clean and we had a stock of dry chopped wood. You could hear some road noise from time to time but otherwise you are pretty separated from the world which is nice.
I would absolutely recommend a stay here
Super quiet aside from a bit of traffic. Beautiful mountainside with easy directions to get there. Definitely would come back!

Beautiful location. Plenty of wood for a fire. Totally secluded and private. You can hear the road below a bit, but there’s not a lot of cars and we got used to it. We really enjoyed our stay, will be back, easy trip from Philly. Lots of great parks and hiking near by.

Beautiful, secluded, campsite deep in the woods. The road to get to the campsite definitely requires 4wheel/AWD drive and good clearance. Was a lot of fun to drive. Lots of wood in the surrounding forest to use for campfire. There is some road noise, but it's not too bad.
