As a 1st time Hipcamp user, I relied heavily on reviews, so I wanted to answer the questions I had.
My twin girls age 11 & I enjoyed a 2-night girlsâ trip after Iâd spent over a year on disability following an accident. Richard & Mary were amazing & accommodated our trip. The $25 firewood wheel barrel was convenient, the $5 fresh eggs were worth it. I felt $125 a night & fees was a lot considering some updates needed.
This is a beautiful, secluded riverside campsite perfect for swimming, tubing, kayaking, fishing, or relaxing. There is no electricity or running water so bring solar power or battery packs, lights or fans, bug spray, bug control for openings in corners of tent, dish soap, water shoes, rope, sunscreen, and a wagonâcarrying things from parking to the campsite is steep.
This is rustic camping, not glamping. The tent had cobwebs, bugs, & a few things left from previous guests, & we had a bit of water come in during the rain. A good cleaning between guests & a few inexpensive updates (replacing the hammock & weathered ropes, stability poles to get to river safely, & routine tent cleaning & new ties as they were breaking, would make a huge difference.
We made wonderful memories & would đŻ return. Richard & Mary are wonderful hosts, & this property has incredible potential. I look forward to hopefully seeing a few updates & improvements to bring this spot back up to date & be as amazing as I know it can!. Also help make it easier on people with physical limits.

Beautiful campsite & lovely host. Weâve been coming here since 2020 and this was our 5th stay. Honeysuckle and aster line the path to camp. Gorgeous river views. We canât wait to come back next summer.

Had an absolutely wonderful time on the river with our dog. Easy access to the water so we could take the kayak out whenever we wanted. Saw plenty of large birds and fish, with a quick chance sighting of 2 bear cubs across the river! Would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for privacy and comfort- this was the first time staying in a canvas tent like this and I have to say it was a luxury I didn't realize I would enjoy so much. Looking forward to staying here again

Staying at this glamping site right on the Delaware River was an incredible experience. Totally gorgeous and private. The hosts were so kind and gracious; they went out of their way to make us comfortable and even surprised us with a thoughtful little anniversary gift when we arrived. The site is easy to find and has good cell service. Highly recommended for a peaceful and romantic getaway.

Our stay at Riverhouse Farm couldnât have fallen on a more perfect weekend. We enjoyed how conveniently placed and framed everything was. From the view of the river from the tent, sitting around the fire as the moon rises between the trees, or where the sun and moon sit perfectly when theyâre at the peak and the trees that frame it. We slept comfortably in the canvas tent and using the wood burning stove was easy. Conveniently, thereâs a grill which made cooking a lot easier. The fresh eggs cooked over the fire were superb! We arrived later than we had hoped and in the dark so we missed the tent off to the right when we got there but were able to find it. I would love to visit again this time next year! Such a memorable trip.

A perfect mini weekend getaway! Richard met us on arrival and gave us a wonderful tour. He was also super communicative leading up to our stay which was great. The picnic table/ cupboard came in really handy for prepping and eating meals. During our stay the river was on the shallower side, but that didnât deter us from getting out on the river to fish and explore. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to unwind and spend some time on the river!

We really enjoyed our stay at Riverhouse Farm. The location is beautiful, set right along the banks of the Delaware River, which made for a peaceful and scenic backdrop. Richard greeted us upon arrival and was incredibly kind and accommodating, which immediately made us feel welcome.
The site itself is comfortable and well-kept. The tent was clean, the air mattress held air well, and the firepit came with a sturdy cooking surface that was easy to use. We especially loved floating on the river and watching the boats drift byâit was very relaxing. For those looking for adventure, the Mount Tammany hiking trail is just a short drive over the bridge and offers a challenging climb with truly spectacular views.
The only thing to note is that the site isnât particularly private. The driveway to the ownersâ home runs right behind the tent and outdoor shower, so itâs possible to see cars drive by while youâre showering. Richard and his wife also enjoy walking along the lane, so you may encounter them from time to time.
Overall, itâs a unique and enjoyable spot with a mix of comfort and outdoor adventure. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Richardâs site is just perfect. Cozy and spacious with a great spot in the water. Private and clean area with a cute table and fire pit. The beds and chairs are so comfortable and the provided farm fresh eggs were the perfect breakfast! We will absolutely be returning.

This location was so peaceful, and we really appreciated the fresh eggs and firewood. The eggs were delicious. The river was perfect for the kids, and even our dog had a blast. The water temperature was great, but definitely bring water shoes since it can get slippery in spots. Weâd absolutely love to return if Richard and Mary would have us.

Riverhouse camp was great. The tent had a bunk bed which my daughter loved. The bed is an air mattress though, so it is veerryy noisy when you move in bed. The view is a 10 out of 10. We sat in the adirondak chairs and had our coffee in the morning and it was great. The view from down at the river is fantastic as well. We used an anchor to hold our tubes and the kids had a blast jumping around them all day. I would recommend bring water shoes. The river is all rocks. They are smooth, but it was still much easier to navigate with water shoes on. Richard was great. He brought down firewood and fresh eggs from his chickens when we arrived. I have a feeling we will be booking this space again.

This place is just so special. It was our second time visiting, and we had perfect weather. The river breeze is refreshing, and Richard and Mary are wonderful hosts. Definitely get the firewood and fresh farm eggs. It was enough wood for three nights. Also, a great spot for tubing and swimming. So close to home, but a whole world apart. Love it here!

Great spot right on the river. Amazing, kind hosts. Tent is canvas and has two full bunkbeds with air mattresses in it as well as a wood-burning stove. Campfire set up and picnic table with a little counter space and cupboard attached came in handy. Would definitely love to come back again soon!

My wife, our dog, and I spent the weekend at this amazing campsite and we couldnât be happier with the experience. Nestled right in front of the river, the spot is truly a slice of paradise. Being surrounded by nature, waking up to the soothing sound of birds singingâit was nothing short of magical.
Despite the rain making the river rise and the water turn a bit muddy, it didnât take away from how peaceful and refreshing the place felt. Richard and Mary were incredible hostsâso kind and thoughtful. They made sure we had everything we needed, from plenty of firewood to fresh farm eggs that were absolutely delicious.
It was the perfect getaway, and weâre already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature at its best.

We had a very nice time, and the campsite was very secluded, although it was off a driveway. Richard was very nice and met us at the site with high quality fire wood and (almost) a dozen eggs.. The eggs were excellent! Very minimalist setup, which we were expecting and enjoy, and RIGHT on the river. Super quiet, lots of stars, beautiful views. However, at $125/night, things just needed a little attention/to be given a once-over before hosting guests. There was no toilet paper and the toilet tent was in bad shape and door did not fully zip, battery-operated lights in both the tent and toilet tent did not work, the stove was so filled with ash and debris that it was hard to get a log lit and there was nothing provided to clean it out, one air mattress had a hole, the hammock was super mildewy, etc. None of these things were trip ruiners at all, but had they been addressed prior to our arrival, Iâd be writing a rave review and weâd definitely be back.

What a lovely little piece of paradise along the Delaware river. Richard was kind & helpful during our stay, and the site was just gorgeous. Beautiful fall colors along the river. The nights were a bit chilly while we were there, but the wood stove kept us cozy. We used this site as our accommodations for a black tie wedding in the area, so we really put the "glam" in Glamping!

This campsite is great, right besides the river. I tried fishing for awhile, but caught nothing. Almost landed 1 fish, but that's about it. BUT while fishing, I saw a 3 feet long fish swimming upstream right in front of me. So.. there are crazy fish here, I'm probably just not skilled enough.

Absolutely love this place. The river was very high from the rain and we couldnât swim, but we still had an incredible time. The location gets the perfect amount of sun and shade and the breeze is perfect for a summer day. The property is full of beautiful old growth trees and the fruit orchard looks like a painting. Richard was very nice and helpful. Also, the quality of the firewood was exceptional. Most places over charge for very poor firewood, but that was not the case here. We will definitely be staying here many times in the future.

This land was the definition of tranquility. We celebrated ten years of marriage and can say it was the best trip, truly all our souls needed.
Richard and Mary were such wonderful host. We highly recommend this space, you will not regret it.

Great secluded site with access to the river. It was an extremely peaceful and beautiful setting. Tying off some floats and relaxing in the water was amazing on the hot and humid days. Richard was a great host, very kind, helpful and responsive to our questions. There were a few places to eat and shop close by which was great considering the amount of rain we had during our stay. Even with all the rain, the property didnât become overly wet/muddy. Will definitely visit again!
