All lodging sites have heating for your comfort and are available year round! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October.
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience.
Contact us to coordinate for larger group bookings. Please note that a significant portion of county tax/fees and cancellation or change fees may be avoided by booking the base amount of people (4) and at a much later date adding extra guests. Guests NOT occupying canvas tent (lodging) and bringing their own tents should not be paying an occupancy tax but there is no provision for this in the app. We do not want our guests paying taxes -- that benefit no one but useless bureaucracy! Twisted Oak Campsite: A medium-sized luxury private site includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for maximum 8 guests with parking for 4 cars on site and has space for several tents. Red Maple Campsite: A large luxury private site that includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for a maximum 10 guests with on-site parking space that is 90ft long and 20ft wide, for an RV or 6-8 cars and overflow parking for several more cars. It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. This site can handle several tents and has two picnic tables, two portable toilets, a scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, a charcoal grill, and on-site string lights.

This site includes potable water and electricity on site, designed with water and electric hookups for a single camping vehicle, maximum 6 people. Just outside the quaint town of Austin sits a vivid reminder of one of Pennsylvania's worst disasters – the Austin Flood. In 1909, the dam was constructed on Freeman Run to power the Bayless Papermill downstream. Many wondered if the dam was safe. On September 30, 1911, Austin found out. Poor construction, coupled with torrential rain, resulted in the dam's collapse. Nearly 400 million gallons of water were released, destroying everything for 8 miles. At least 78 people perished in the tragedy. It was the second worst flood disaster in Pennsylvania's history and sixth worst dam failure in U.S. history. The tragedy sparked new legislation to improve dam safety, and the Austin Dam was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The ruins of the dam still stand, surrounded by a 76-acre park, as a tribute to the lives lost in the Austin Flood. Don't miss one of Potter County's best kept secrets!

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. The Season House, one of the two foreman homes, features additional guest accommodations while Doug resides in the other foreman house. Visit and experience a piece of PA history! Camp next to a peaceful trickling creek just outside Phoenixville and Kimberton. We are a suburban oasis, surrounded by a little bit of everything.
Our homestead has plenty of activity including kids, dogs, chickens, and bees! We have a fully wooded area available to explore across the creek, and weather dependent- the creek is a great place to stay cool. You'll see lots of growing fruit trees in our developing orchard and we are happy to share our vision for this beautiful land!
We have two campsites available for you to choose between for your stay. Both sites are along the creek, however, one has a view of some nearby houses and is a short walk to the parking spot [Creekside]. The other site is more secluded, past the tree line, but a further walk from where you are able to park. [Hillside] If needed, we are happy to lend you a wagon to haul your gear. Please let us know if you have questions and your preference of site.
We have a cabin-like bathroom and partial kitchen you will have access to during your stay. We always have cold water available for purchase in the fridge.

There is trail access easily accessible from our home (the closest is approximately 1 mile), for paved or natural trail exploration. We are are a great stopping point for cyclists enjoying the area.
It's a short drive to downtown Phoenixville with some of the best breweries around. Phoenixville is home to a great farmers market on Saturday mornings and numerous festivals. Also, close-by is the lovely quaint village of Kimberton, home of the best organic grocery store, cidery, and many opportunities for hiking and small farms. We are happy to provide recommendations of places in the immediate area.

The Stargazing Field at Olga Farm is perfect for camping, breathtaking sunrises, peaceful meditation, & you guessed it...stargazing in some of the darkest skies in the northeastern United States. It's adjacent to a working organic vegetable farm.
Olga Farm is 4.4 miles from the charming town of Coudersport & its shops & eateries, including Olga Gallery, Cafe, & Bistro which is only 5.9 miles away. There's a great swimming hole less than 5.5 miles away. Cherry Springs State Park, a stargazing Mecca is 21 miles away.
Olga Farm is a great base to explore the Pennsylvania Wilds. We are 36 miles from the Kinzua Skywalk & 46 miles from Leonard Harrison State Park, one of our favorite places to view the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. We're only 14 miles from the Austin Dam Ruins & 37 miles from Rock City Park just over the border in New York State.

This wooded area is 5 miles away from the Ohiopyle State Park whitewater launch area and GAP bike trail. We are less than 9 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Classic Fallingwater and about 8 miles from Kentuck Knob one of the last resident homes he designed (both are open for tours). Fort Necessity National Battlefield is 5 miles away. There are numerous native trout streams in the area. Youghiogheny Reservoir is 7 miles away for fishing, boat rentals, and water-sports.
The Fern House is the primary camp cabin on the property. Although if someone would want to park a "self contained" camper or small RV on the property we would permit the unit to occupy the area in front of the driveway just pass the entrance gate. It is not within the ferns and is next to the road. There is an electrical outlet available at this small RV or van camper site.
We are "nice pet" friendly. Dogs should not be left in the cabin alone. We have a mountain spring (when the spring is running) up the trail road (450 feet away). The ferns will normally be in full glory by the end of May to mid September and are amazing, covering the forest floor. Deer, bear, wild turkey, fox, chipmunks, squirrels and many woodland birds abound the property especially owls. A picnic table, fire ring and firewood is available on the property. Free WiFi on the property as long as the plant life is not too thick! There is a mile hiking loop right on the property and many challenging trails in the area, including the starting point for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. No smoking is permitted in the cabin. My husband and I loved staying at the cubby with our dog Maggie! We loved that it was off to itself, felt private! The state parks being in the area was also nice! I highly recommend this stay!

2 nights at Conowingo Creek Campsite
I came here for a little low key solo trip and I had such an incredible time here! It’s so beautiful and magical - I spent my time sitting by the creek and walking around their property (a sweet little loop going along the creek and near a pond).
Gini and Kelly are incredible hosts — when I got to the campsite, Kelly came over and gave me a little tour and even helped me set up the camp stove when I let him know I was a little unsure how it worked. I had everything I needed: fresh linens, the outhouse, the outdoor shower, a washing station, fresh water, cooking supplies, firewood, and a cooler with ice & a camping stove (which were from an extra I added on).
They were available by text the whole time if I needed anything extra.
Overall I had a perfect time :)

Highly highly recommend staying here!! The park is beautifully kept and really private. The swimming hole by the dam ruins was a perfect way to cool off after a hot day. Lots of wildlife, space to spread out at the campsite, and trails. Special shoutout to Alvie who manages the park and Hipcamp page, it was great to meet you and your passion for the park shines! Thanks a bunch, we had a great time!

Bill and Nancy have a beautiful place to camp and are lovely hosts! Campsite 7 was private, but a shirt stroll away from all of the offered amenities. We particularly enjoyed the ice cold, fresh spring pump during the heatwave. And if you're lucky, you may wake up to turkeys!

Doug’s property is so uniquely beautiful! His artistry skills show everywhere and are beautifully incorporated into the natural surrounding landscape. The woods are so calm and tent camping next to the creek was so peaceful for sleeping.

This was a terrific place to camp for primitive campers! The remains of the Austin Dam and the history of the town itself brought us to this destination and we plan on returning again. The park at the dam is kept nice clean and tidy. From the dam there are mowed paths to the campsites above and below. Freeman Run is a nice medium size stream to wade or sit in to keep cool. There are sites for RVs but as we tent camp we cant comment much on the hook ups there or extent of them. There is one restroom area at the dam with running water. The firewood we bought there burned well for us. All and all for primitive camping like we do I give it a 5 star rating out of 5. The only drawback a person or group may have is the road noise from 872 but its not a road that's used much so the traffic is sporadic and intermittent during peek travel hours. During the night we didn't hear any traffic at all.

We had a great 3 night stay and would recommend this site. The hosts were wonderful, and being the only ones there gave us excellent privacy. Evenings brought a bunch of lightning bugs and morning light gave us great views over the foggy farmland. The private outdoor shower was a treat, and the toilet was clean. Just keep in mind that the site is close to the road which might bother light sleepers. Also, the endlessly hilly landscape leaves you with limited options for a perfectly flat pitch. Still, the great amenities and hospitality made it well worth it.

The land was beautiful and very peaceful up in the second tier of RV sites. We had ample shade and some great views out down the hillside. We saw a lot of deer and the hiking trails looked very enticing (timing didn't allow much exploration).

Very secluded little peninsula with two tent camping sites on the river. Lots of open room. Bathrooms and showers are spotless! If you ever get the opportunity to rent both sites, do it. There's a very cool story to the place.

Bill was great at communicating ahead of time and greeting us. We felt right at home. He was great at explaining the facilities and the boundaries of the site. The site was beautiful and peaceful, and we woke up well-rested and found ourselves being serenaded by a wide variety of pleasant woodland birds. Our dogs were delighted to explore and sniff about and we would absolutely come back to this gem of a campsite.
