Weekend Trip to Ferncrest Campground

We had a great weekend at Brian and Joanna's Fern Crest Campground. It was a last minute trip for us. We booked a Dome with 2 double beds and a hot tub. (no King hot tubs available) We knew it was going to be a rainy weekend but that was ok because we just wanted to relax. We love the vibe of the campground and what Brian and Joanna have done with it and hope to see it continue to grow. The campground is not too far off the road so you can hear traffic going by but it wasn't to the point of being distracting. The domes were clean and adorable. The only thing that would have been great would be either hangers for the rack or some hooks near the door. We had umbrellas and raincoats and nowhere to really hang them up while they were wet. The retro ice cream and coffee campers were such a great addition and the woman at both, I believe her name is Sue, was so nice and personable. She was helpful with any questions we had and gave suggestions for things to do in the area. Because of the rain, we ended up pushing the beds aside in the dome and put our camping chairs up in front of the window and used the cooler that came with the dome as a makeshift table for us to play games on and eat from. The beds were comfy and the linens were soft and smelled fresh. The bathrooms and showers were also clean and the soaps, shampoos, and conditioners all smelled great. We will definitely be staying here again and hopefully bringing friends and family with us! Thank you for such a great stay!

Weekend Trip to Tiny A-Frame W/ Heat/AC & Hot Tub

Absolutely wonderful experience in the tiny A-Frame! A weekend of massive storms and lots of rain, but we still enjoyed every second. Felt decadent to be in the hot tub while it rained 😜 The AFrame and bathroom were immaculate and everything was easy to find and navigate. We were pleasantly surprised to find there was a projector in the house and access to movies and shows. The pond was beautiful, a real gem! Filled with salamanders and fish. Was way too cold to get in, but there was a paddle boat available and fishing rods. Highly recommended!! Thank you Jean for a fabulous stay!

John and Sandy are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The grounds were amazing and we enjoyed the trails, water, games, but especially the maze. We chased butterflies, caught frogs, saw fairies, and ventured into the 100 acre wood. It was a great chance to relax and escape from the stress of daily life.

We spent the night at Jennifer's site, and it was awesome! The thought she has put into the camper's experience is apparent, as she has gone above and beyond at setting up a space where people can disconnect, relax, and enjoy each other's presence.

The house is located on two acres. There is a firepit on the property with plenty of wood available. There are hiking trails right behind the house. Campers are welcome to stay in the house or camp in the back yard. You can call it Executive camping. The house is old and was built in 1860 so it has an old house feel. It is fully functional with heat and hot water. There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with nice hot water and a kitchen for cooking. There is also a beautiful deck behind the house with a grill. Many of my guest says this is the best part of the house.. Its really inspiring to sit on the deck at night time and look at the stars. There is a lot to do in the area, when you book I can send you a list of things. There is a unique thermal geyser about 3 miles down the road that is a must see for example. Knoebbles amusement park is about a 20 minute drive if that is your thing.

Some of our amenities include: - smart 70” TV. We provide Hulu (that has many channels like ESPN+ and Disney+). TV has Roku so you can access your own preferred account for streaming. 3 bedrooms have TV except bunk bed room. -king bed in largest room - Central air conditioning and heating. - electric fireplace - arcade machine with 5 games -The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary items you need to make a meal. - fire pit with plenty of chairs to sit around ( BYO firewood) - outdoor dining table -large 6 burner propane grill - Included are boats for you to use if you want some water fun, we have two pedal boats, a row boat and a tandem kayak. - We have an 8x12 floating dock with a ramp where you can launch our boats or simply sit to go fishing. -we also provide adult/child life vests Location We are located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains! There is also a Walmart, an ALDI and CVS if you need some last minute supplies. *There are also optional community facilities you can access for a small daily fee (currently at $5 per person a day) There is a beach, a newly renovated outdoor pool, and a basketball court. If you are interested to use the facility, you can purchase a wristband during your stay or inquire with your host prior so you can get more details about it. Guest access Guests will be able to use the whole home and lake access in the backyard. There is ample parking in front paved driveway. You will be receiving a door code the day before your travel, it is a unique code that will only activate at time of check in. * Host will require a liability waiver after booking. Our HOA requires a tenant registration form filled out and submitted a week prior to arrival ( for last minute bookings, you will need to submit this form back as soon as I send it with your confirmation). *For lake fishing: You need a fishing license to fish in any lake in PA. Security and Game commission does show up to check so make sure you are in compliance. Host will not be responsible for you ticket violation if caught. Our dock will only allow up to 1000 lbs of weight at once, about 4-6 persons and less if carrying a boat to launch. Guests will wear life vests on the dock, boats and swimming on the lake. Guests will not leave any personal belongings on the dock or leave out chairs to avoid any loss of property. Guests will not release the floating dock off the secured attachment on the shore anchor. NO ACCESS to lake Spillway: At any time, do not attempt to swim or hang out on or near the lake spillway ( located to the right of propery) This is very dangerous and is a violation of our HOA rules. You will incur a fine from security dept if caught. I really appreciate your cooperation for your safety. Other things to note Please read " HOUSE RULES" before booking. We have a Well water system, bring your own preferred water bottle for drinking. We have a water filtration system for the house and a Brita if you would like to use it. We also have a queen sofa pull out bed in the living room and a futon in the largest room for when you need it. Our home is fully equipped w/ stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, dishware/flatware, drip coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, spices, bar seating. Firewood is not included. Bring your own firewood for the fire pit.
