- Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. We allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Please bring along potable water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available MID May- MID October. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups.
- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land.
There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property.

The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest. On a clear night, the sky above the pond is as dark as it gets this close to the Poconos.
Inside the canvas bell tent you’ll find a real queen-size bed made up with sheets, pillows, and blankets, LED camp lighting, and a footlocker stocked with cooking essentials: cast iron skillet, pot, utensils, and dinnerware. The site includes a two-burner propane stove with fuel, picnic table, and a fire pit. Potable water, a composting toilet, and a gravity-fed outdoor shower are all on-site. Optional extras include a propane Buddy Heater, two additional cots, and firewood bundles.
The camp is tucked behind our home, so you’ll feel completely private — no other structures in view. We’re nearby if you need anything, and we mean that. Past guests have called this the best campsite they’ve ever stayed at. We aim to keep it that way and ask you to practice Leave No Trace to help.
Dogs welcome off-leash on the property. Season runs April through first snow.

We had a great time at this place! Took us a minute to figure out how everything worked, but we were honestly impressed with the number of amenities on site. (The keg to heat up the shower water is ingenious btw!) This spot is clearly well cared for and you can tell that there have been many updates and improvements over the years. We had a lovely stay and even found some chanterelles in the woods nearby! (We made sure to avoid the game lands). Thank you for opening this little haven out to the public!

Amazing trip for me and my family! The property is absolutely gorgeous and campsite is something out of a movie it’s so pretty. Your site and the shed has everything you could need except for food and towels which make packing super easy! We loved the swimming area with waterfall and the creek had huge rocks all throughout and we “rock hopped” up and down several different spots. Truly so beautiful to explore and a great unexpected find!

Enjoyed a stay on Doug's land in the Frank Tiny House. Everything exactly as described and then some. Bed was super comfortable and little house was when stocked. Even had a mini fridge. Bathroom and shower house were clean and easy to find in the dark. Property offered secluded hikes and even had a map marked to see different trees and things. Loved the stay and would definitely do again for longer if in the area. Made an adorable little fury friend in the cat. He followed us around and even slept on the porch of the camp for part of the night!

This was exactly what we needed on this trip. It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, everything from the landscaping to the pond made the entire place feel like our own little private escape in nature.
The pond was incredibly clean, and we didn’t get bitten by a single mosquito the entire time! We loved having the paddle boat, fire pit, grill, and hot tub right there.The adorable swing by the pond and the little bench where you could sit with your morning coffee. There’s really nothing better than waking up to the pond or relaxing in the hot tub while looking out over the water.
Even though there are a few houses in the general area, you would never know it. They did such an amazing job with the landscaping, bushes, flowers and trees that you can’t see the neighboring homes at all. It felt incredibly private. There’s even a little wooded area to explore, which made it feel even more like you were tucked away in nature.
The cabin itself had everything we needed. The bed was SUPER comfortable, with just the right amount of pillows, and we loved all the thoughtful little touches throughout the property.
Between the pond(we caught fish), hot tub (super clean!) , paddle boat, fire pit,outside mood lights,projector,great WiFi,beautiful landscaping, privacy, and peaceful atmosphere, this place really gave us the relaxing getaway we were looking for. It was one of those places where you immediately wish you had booked another night! ( Also my dog loved it )

Weekend Trip to Dancing Hen Farm
We stayed in the Beach Bus for one night after exploring Ricketts Glen, and our only regret is not staying longer! This place is truly incredible … such a great escape from city living & such a relaxing spot to stay after hiking. Kathleen & Don were great hosts - the bus is equipped with everything you need (and more) & they’re very accessible if anything else comes up. Definitely recommend!

I would definitely recommend this campsite. It's especially perfect if you live to fish. The campsite is set up perfectly and it's very clean. The tent itself is roomy and the bed is comfortable. If time permits I would definitely like to plan on coming back next year.

Weekend Trip to Camp Dietrich on Bear Creek
We had a great time at Camp Dietrich! Beautiful grounds with lots of hiking trails accessible right from your camp site. Scott met us when we arrived and gave us an orientation to the site. Everything was in good condition. We loved lying in the hammock with the sound of the river and sitting by the fire at night. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Camping here was absolutely amazing. Falling to sleep with the water bubbling away next to us, exploring with the kids, and swimming in the numerous swimming holes, all of it made one of the best camping experiences our family has had. Scott is a wonderful host and obviously loves the land and sharing it with others. We will be back!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying on Scott's property. The forest is dense and the creek is very clean. We had a fun time fishing. The tents were high quality and we stayed dry during heavy rain.
It's quite hilly so bring your hiking shoes in addition to your water shoes for the creek.

We fell in love with this beautiful place the first time we visited, and coming back was just as special.
The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the peaceful sound of the water makes it the perfect place to relax, disconnect from the everyday routine, and enjoy quality time with family.

Very crowded - they really crammed the sites close together. Not enough bathrooms/showers for the amount of people they pack in there. The saving graces of this place are the absolutely fantastic hiking trails and the 10 minute drive to Lehigh Gorge State Park. Jim Thorpe WaterAdventures offer kayaking and rafting down the Lehigh River, but hiking or biking the gorge is just as fun!
