Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground Slow down among the forests and river scenery of Tucker County, West Virginia. Our 36-acre campground has approximately 2,100 feet of Dry Fork River frontage, with wooded campsites, riverfront gathering spots and year-round stays near Parsons and Monongahela National Forest. CHOOSE YOUR STAY Pitch a tent in the forest, gather at a riverfront campsite, or choose a rustic cabin, the Bohemian Bus Retreat, our wood-stove tipi, or RiverCamp Lodge with its two glamping tents. The camper can sleep up to 10 guests, although six guests will be more comfortable. Set in a peaceful rural area, the property is just minutes from the Ohio River and located along Middle Island Creek. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds, hike through the 90-acre hardwood forest, or relax on the farmhouse porch and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Camper amenities: Sleeping accommodations for up to 10 guests, a shower and half bathroom, kitchen sink, gas stovetop and oven, microwave, and propane fireplace. Overall we had a great experience! Beautiful location. Loved the coffee house area. The downside, when we arrived we had a bag of trash on our porch, there was food on one of the beds and I know it’s camping but the cabin had a really bad mold smell with some mold on one of the bunk mattress. Porter potties were ok as far as cleanliness goes.

We stayed in Blackbear 2 and the view was incredible. The cabin was a little musty but once the window and screen door was open with the fan going, it was fine. We did end up using our sleep pad on top of the futon for some extra cushion because you could feel the bars when folded out. But it was all worth it for that view. The mini-fridge was bigger than expected and the TV has basic cable. The campground and the staff are lovely. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The facilities and grounds were clean and there was a lot to do! My daughter enjoyed the playgrounds, playing along the shoreline, riding her bike, playing basketball, and the splash pad (which is fed by a well - so it is not on all the time. They announce the times - usually runs for an hour at a time). She even made a few friends at the playground which is close enough to see from this cabin. It was helpful not having 2 RVs behind us though - it made for clear sight lines to the playground. The camp store is full of basics and fun souvenirs. I realized I still had the cabin key after we were long gone on the way home 😬 I called them to let them know we would mail it and they were very gracious. I would definitely recommend the campground, especially for families. We would stay again on our next trip out for sure.

Recommended for families, 10/10. Great river access with fishing opportunities within the camp and lots of activities nearby. Owner Vince is very accommodating and does a great job of communicating everything you need in advance. He’s also present on site if you need anything. Lots of firewood and a coffee station that’s open 24/7.

Rainbow 1 was a perfect retreat for my partner and I during some rainy days. The cabin felt spacious yet cozy for 2. The big tv in the living room was wonderful for gaming and the hot tub out back was lovely. The staff was a delight as well, full of good advice on all manner of topics. Great set up in a beautiful location. Vince provides great directions and tips for the campground. When we arrived, he was really hospitable, providing some hiking suggestions. There's a coffee cabin, clean bathrooms near campsites. All really well laid out with plans for even more, including a sauna. Town is close if you need some groceries or want to go to a restaurant. We're planning a return trip to Brooklyn Heights.

We had such a good experience this week! The cabin was as described with a short walk to the potties and the river. We were glad to have the A/C, fans, fridge, comfy mattresses, furniture and protection from the rain. Very private location with very nice people. We all felt very safe there. Hendrick was there when we arrived. He was friendly, helpful and informative. Vince always answered his phone to help with whatever was needed. We tubed or swam in the river every day.

Our family and group of extended family LOVED staying here. The owner, Vince, and host, Dave, were extremely kind and truly welcoming. The campgrounds are very well kept. Our children and their cousins all couldn’t get enough of the river and took full advantage of the tubes set out for visitors use. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay! Our cabin area was tidy and very peaceful with the lull of the river in the background. We enjoyed walking to the bridge down the road and exploring the local trails and riverfront. Ample camping amenities: coffee/tea/drinks/wifi available near the office area, plenty of wood/fire starter for those who needed some, and the port a potty was clean. Pro tip: bring your own potable water or a filter. There is plenty of fresh water available, but it's not potable. Vincent was an incredibly accommodating and personable host and you can tell how hard he and his crew work to keep the site in tip-top shape!

This was our second time at Brooklyn Heights in just 2 weeks because we loved it SO much! It was me, my fiance, and 3 kids, plus 2 big dogs! We rented one of the cabins this time & it was amazing. Having a fridge, electric and a/c really makes a mid-July stay so much more relaxing! We mainly just slept in the cabin & not much else because we were either at the river swimming/paddle boarding or relaxing by the fire pit, which is perfectly shaded, but it was surprisingly spacious & having a cool space & comfy bed at night was so great!! Vince is so friendly and kind. The amenities are wonderful! The cheap firewood, the coffee pavilion, a place to wash dishes, and most importantly VERY CLEAN portapotties!! No complaints! We cannot wait to come back again.

This site is incredibly comfortable and so peaceful. The owner was easy to reach when I had questions, the camper is out of the way off of main roads and very private, and we loved how much space we had to move around and hang out with our kids. The only real downside was that the weather had been bad before our trip, so we couldn’t use the tiki torches (they were rained on and soaked) and the outdoor string lights weren’t working because of it as well. On the way home, my family was already asking when we could come back to the site again, and if we could stay longer next time!

Incredible, family friendly campground. The river is perfect for fishing and also perfect for young children to play in. Gorgeous, serene location with minimal mosquitoes which was a shock! Firewood is very affordable. As in VERY affordable. Porta potty is the cleanest one I have ever used in my life. I plan to go back next year with my crew as my only mistake in booking a campsite at Brooklyn Heights was not staying a few days longer.
