Peace Park Campsites on the Towpath
The property is beautiful, the pupper was so sweet and beautiful, and Joe is probably the realest person I've met in a long time.
Pros:
Accessible portapotty
Adorable mascot
Kind host
Mostly flat land for camping
Ease of access to town

Peace Park Campsites on the Towpath
Friendly host, nice camp spot.
Joe is a great guy, very friendly and welcoming. We had a great experience. I'd recommend ear plugs due road and train noise, but would definitely camp here again.

Peace Park Campsites on the Towpath
Beautiful campsite. Excellent Dog.
Loved Joe's spot on the Tuscarawas River. It's right on the tow path and perfect for bikepacking. If you're car camping like us, the tow path is a nice walk to start or end the day. The town of Bolivar is just down the road if you need gas, food, or any other supplies. Perhaps the best thing about staying at Towpath Trail Peace Park though is Sundrop, the beautiful resident golden retriever who was incredibly friendly with us. We also enjoyed talking to Joe about the history of the area and his vision for what can be done with the campsite. Would highly recommend this place if you're needing a campsite near Akron/Cleveland or Cuyahoga Valley National Park (our destination).

Peace Park Campsites on the Towpath
Pleasant and peaceful.
We are local to the area and wanted a few nights away. Joe showed us the back camp which is very private and separated from the top camps. We had some rain and were able to come home. Just what we wanted. There is a train and a bit of traffic noise but we are used to city noise so we barely noticed and still felt peaceful. Joe was very kind. He checked on our camp and closed our tent windows for us when we asked him to. There is a shared power cord and water available. We took our dog Tuck and he was very happy and able to hang out with us off his leash for a lot of the stay. He met with the sweet Sundrop the camp doggy and they played nice. There is a canoe livery very close, stores, restraints and very cute little towns such as Zoar. W
You can walk the trails and fish and play in the Tuscarawas River. We will keep Towpath Peace Park on our list of close spots to camp and look forward to visiting in the fall.

Peace Park Campsites on the Towpath
This is such a great place next to the towpath for bike touring! Joe is such an awesome guy. We loved chatting with him, and learning about the history around the place. We also had a blast. Love the primitive camping vibe. We did a shorter bike tour, but hopefully a longer one next time, and we will make sure to stay here again! Definitely recommend!
Peace Park Campsites on the Towpath
Joe is nice guy. The place was nicely mowed with picnic tables and a clean porta potty. We were in a camper van. The land was in a ravine so we couldn’t park near the river as hoped. Plus there are high bushes preventing a view of the river. There was poison ivy, traffic noise, and a train that passes overhead. On the positive side, there was a good host, the towpath trail, and availability and price.
