This small farm is 7 acres of the original 25 my great grandmother purchased for her family in 1934. Guests can enjoy the cabin as well as the barn and surrounding property with animals and greenspace. The Camp Cabin: Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." Accommodates up to 6 guests, with a queen-sized bed, a futon and two low single beds in the loft, accessible only by ladder. Kids 6 and older may sleep in the loft-- just like Laura and Mary-- and they can read a chapter of one of Laura Ingalls' "Little House" books before bed! The cabin contains a small refrigerator, microwave and gas fireplace (no, the pioneers didn’t have that!). Fresh eggs and other snacks are provided for breakfast. The restroom and shower are located in the walkout basement of the farmhouse, a 40 yard walk from the Cabin. The restroom has a private entrance and is used only by guests during their stay. The Farm Property: Pet and interact with goats and other farm animals. The goats and chickens love it when guests bring them tortilla chips, crackers or vegetable scraps. Enjoy fun activities on the farm and around the property. Guests are welcome to use any of the common areas for fires or grilling. Quiet hours are from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. The Barn: The barn has a recreation area with basketball, foosball, air hockey, ping pong and swings. The climbing wall is off limits to guests. This facility is open May through October. The barn is available for parties for an additional fee, depending on the size of the group. We have seating for up to 60 guests. Please note that the barn is not climate controlled (no air conditioning in summer, but the doors open and we have fans). Parking isn't available at the site. You will park a short distance away and walk to the site (1-5 mins)

You'll have this Hipcamp all to yourself.

Firewood provided, firepit, private. Fire ring near cabin exclusive to cabin guests.

Flush toilet. A short walk in the walkout basement of the farmhouse. This is a shared space with other guests.
Pets allowed
Off leash. Please have a leash available. If you leave your pet in the cabin while you are away, please crate them so they do not scratch or chew at the door (yes, this has been an issue). 2 dog maximum.
Potable water available
Spigot, tap, hose, pump or well, bottled water or jugs. Filtered water is provided in glass bottles in the refrigerator in the cabin. There are several other places to get water, also.
Showers available
Hot water . In the farmhouse basement. There is a tiled shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
Bins available
Recycling bin, trash bin. Cans at the side of the cabin are labeled for trash and recycling.
Cooking equipment present
Grill over firepit, bbq, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, freezer, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery. There is no running water or sink in the kitchenette area, but we provide an electric skillet, coffee pot, microwave, dishes, cooking utensils for the charcoal grill, hot pads and a small refrigerator/freezer (dorm-sized).

There is a picnic table located just outside the Cabin. There is also a table inside the cabin.

I stayed here as a stop on my way cross country. The Camp Cabin offered a charming bit of solitude. Although it was adjacent to the farmhouse, it still felt tucked away and private. The private shower and bathroom were great, and the fresh eggs and complimentary coffee were a nice touch. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

I stayed at a few hosted sites and I gotta say this was the best, they supplied everything you need even a dozen fresh eggs! It rained all weekend and we didn’t even care! It was so nice to have a nice bathroom also and be able to bring the dog. We will be back I think it would be great in the fall.

Lovely hidden gem for a quick getaway from Akron. Cabin is really great and perfect if your bringing two kids along with the lofted beds (kids should be at least 6 yrs old because the ladder is too challenging for younger kids). walking paths around the property super scenic.

What a great campsite! So fun taking the dog to explore the land. Highly recommend if you're into birds. We heard a lot of very different/cool bird calls! Rained the entire duration and still had a great time. Will definitely be back!

Sweet sweet kitty

I was only here for one night, just passing through, and I wish I had had more time! The pond in the moonlight was beautiful, the cabin was cozy, but what stood out to me most… was the friendliest cat I’ve ever met. I’m not kidding, that sweet girl was the BEST. I will come back just to visit her.

The cabin is lovely, the beds are comfy, the goats and the sheep are adorable! It was really warm inside the cabin, even in single digit temperatures. The bathroom in the main house is very nice. Shiloh is super friendly (though a bit overbearing). Our son and his friends had a great time sledding on the sledding hill, and it was terrific that there were sleds to use!

We love staying at the Camp Cabin. Our girls loved the farm animals and the property in general. Plenty of firewood and bathroom is super easy to get to and use. Will be coming back.

A terrific stay. Feel like you are in the country, but close enough to civilization in case anything happens. The cabin is perfect. Host communicates quickly. The barn was a big hit with my two young girls. Cozy and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

I was very excited for this stay, and it was even better than I expected. The land and the cabin were beautiful, Donna and Garry were lovely as were all the goats and the chickens! Wonderful people and a wonderful stay!!! The cabin has everything you need and was very comfortable, even with our big dogs.

Good family fun!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet couples getaway. We found the property and site to be beautiful. The cabin was cozy. The hosts were awesome! They thought of everything!! What stood out as unique is the access to the barn where we found an endless amount of activities. We fed the goats, hiked a beautiful trail and watched a spectacular sunset. We even made time to practice our canoeing skills on the small pond that was adjacent to our cabin. The bathroom in the back basement of the host house was clean and well stocked only about 75 feet away from our cabin. They kept this area well lit just in case you had to go in the middle of the night. What a fun experience for families with small children!!

Donna’s land is absolutely magical. If you are quiet enough and paying attention, there is so much nature thriving around you. This trip came at a time when I did not know I would need it most and it was perfect and healing. The cabin is so clean and charming. This was my partner’s daughter’s first camping trip so I wanted it to be close to home and still have some comforts. It was perfect! The only downside to our experience was the day we checked in, it had been 92 degrees all day, so the cabin was pretty miserable to sleep in the first night. Also, since this is in the backyard of the homeowner, it might not be your cup of tea if you want a more off the grid feel but again, for us it was perfect! Donna was so sweet, gave us our privacy, and graciously shared her land and all of its offerings to us. I will definitely be wanting to come back on maybe a girls trip in the fall or even winter when other camping is more challenging!

From fishing with sticks and catching what felt like a million fish, to feeding the sweetest farm animals, and ending every night with s’mores by the fire. Grateful for every moment! The perfect place to take the children. Or to just get away by yourself or perhaps a romantic couple of days or book it , for your in-laws as a anniversary present. This place was clean quiet we had a really good time not far from a Walmart in case you forget supplies. The cabins absolutely beautiful like something from a scene from a TV show. The animals are cute we had a great time.

The Camp Cabin is absolutely fantastic! We camped during this weekend’s heat wave and while it was hot, we stayed relatively comfortable. The cabin is nestled beneath the trees and so even with just fans we slept well and even enjoyed a small fire at night. Our dogs loved the pond and talking walks around the large property. The basement bathroom is so nicely remodeled - it was almost nicer than ours at home! The goats are adorable and so friendly. We had fun sharing our lettuce with them and the little babies. The cabin itself has every amenity you could need. Donna even had a dispenser of water waiting for us. Tons of books, games, and puzzles. The pictures of the inside don’t show how roomy it really is. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer. Thank you Donna and Garry for creating such a heavenly oasis for us “city folk” to enjoy!

We enjoyed our stay. Weather was rainy so we didn’t have a campfire. However, everything was provided to do so. The cabin was nice and had a cozy feel. We would definitely visit again.

Even though it rained the majority of the time we were there, we still enjoyed everything they had to offer. The kiddos loved the trampoline and playground and of course the animals was a blast for all of us. Thank you for having us!
