A beautiful secluded cabin near The Wilds Safari Park. We have 30 acres of property for you to explore and unplug and unwind on. The cabin is a bit off-grid meets high-tech. We are on a rainwater collection system that is permitted through the Health Department and our propane is trucked in, but we have electricity and Wi-Fi. There is no TV though you'll need to spend time talking, playing games and just enjoying the beautiful peaceful surroundings.The cabin has all the amenities you could want (except a TV and a microwave). We are a little off-grid meets high-tech! We have a permitted rainwater collection system and propane. On the tech side, we have electric and WiFi, and our lights are connected to a Google Nest system. Hunting and fishing areas are close by, as are hiking, mountain biking, and gravel bike riding. The Wilds Safari Park is down the road, and Blue Rock State Park is about 3 miles from the cabin. We have about 10 acres of trails cut on our 30-acre property, and you can walk right into DNR Recreational Land. You do need to register on their website before using their land. We have an abundance of wildlife on the property, including bears and bobcats. You will have access to the 30 acres, but please observe boundaries. The trails are marked, and a trail map will be sent to you via messaging. There are also chairs in some parts of the trails. On rainy days, there are many board games, puzzles, and books to pass the time. There is a 3-acre field at the top of the property that is perfect for stargazing on clear nights.

Cozy 1 Bedroom Cabin near the Wilds

This place is one of a kind. The cabin is super cozy while simultaneously feeling connected to nature with a ton of big windows that really bring in the outdoors. The amenities and little touches are first rate including a complete mini cook's kitchen, awesome lighting to fit any mood, a ton of games, great reading material, and stacked firewood for the charming indoor wood burner. The cabin is very charming and a great jumping off point for Eastern Ohio adventures! PS - Super clean and the hosts were very friendly.

Very clean cozy and private. Host communicated well thru app but not harassingly. the trails were perfect for morning or evening walks. Thankful for Aircon cause it was sweltering hot outside. Very close to the wilds if thats on itinerary.

Weekend escape!

Cozy 1 Bedroom Cabin near the Wilds

A great little cabin to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s very remote and secluded but is accessible by a gravel road. I think we counted 3 trucks and 2 side by sides as traffic for the entire weekend! The cabin was neat as a button and every question a guest could ever ask was already addressed either in their cabin manual or little notes adjacent to the items. It is SOOOO quiet! What a great place to relax and unwind. Many trails criss-cross the property so bring comfortable shoes. Thanks for the opportunity to share your little slice of heaven!

Quiet cabin with all the amenities

I had a wonderful time here. We stayed for a week and got to experience several thunder storms. Peaceful and serene location will lots of amenities. About a 30 min drive to the nearest town for resupply. While there is no TV there is WiFi and a small desk with a PC display and HDMI cable that I was able to plug into so I could complete some work. The shower, stove, and toilet all made the stay very comfortable. The wood burning stove was excellent as was the hvac system with A/C and heat, a refrigerator, and propane range in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again. Perfect for a romantic stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Chipmunk Ridge! The cabin was so welcoming, cozy, and clean. All of the thought and special touches were apparent throughout. We loved feeding the birds, exploring the trails, and just relaxing on this beautiful property. It was so peaceful & quiet. Our hosts were very accommodating and their hospitality was top notch! We will definitely be back for another stay!
