The Sculptdecor Studio, run by my partner and master sculptor Dustin Weatherby, is on the 58-acres closest to the Art Lodge located at the bottom of the driveway. Dustin specializes in animatronics, steel sculptures, wood carvings, mixed media sculptures, and offers live art performances and experience packages for guests. Feel free to stop by the studio and say hello, our home is on the same 58-acre property. Although you cannot see our home from the Art Lodge or Tiny Bungalows, we're often nearby for assistance.

The modern, yet cozy, Carpenter's Cabin has a small footprint of 934sf but explodes with over 1700sf of interior living space over four floors and another 600sf is available on the three decks. The cabin boasts two owner's bedrooms, two bunk rooms, and one alcove bed in the library to sleep up to eight adults and twelve total guests. Three full baths round out the private spaces. There are two media rooms - The Conversation Pit on the main floor and in the lower level walkout.
The cabin was built as the first eco-luxe cabin in the Hocking Hills and includes luxury amenities such as organic bamboo sheets, Turkish cotton /eucalyptus bath towels, and natural body products to name just a few.
Explore our 32 acre pine forest in the Appalachian foothills, enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, and our three covered decks (including a third story screened deck off one of the two master suites). Check out The Perch four stories up, and the extremely popular conversation pit, known affectionately as The Pit.
The addition of the Jaybird Fort (a mini version of the Carpenter's Cabin) keeps children active with imaginative play outdoors.
The Carpenter's Cabin is just 5 minutes to downtown Laurelville for supplies, or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.
No smoking, vaping, marijuana, etc inside the cabin or in our 32 acres of forest. No animals. No parties. No firearms use, sparklers, fireworks, etc. No ATVs, dirt bikes, etc.

Group trip
This place felt like a hidden gem. There wasn't another site visible from the cabin; we had a full pond all to ourselves. We got some far-off deer visitors multiple times; the hot-tub was great, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked.
Things I wanted but didn't really make the trip worse:
- Bidet on the toilet
- bigger dish rack (6 people worth of dishes filled the tiny one very fast)
- OLED TV (when all the lights are off and the TV is on, for example with white noise for sleeping, a totally black screen will still glow and emit light. An OLED TV would be totally black.)
- the paddleboat wasn't available, which was a bummer
- kitchen knives were very dull

Weekend Trip to EJT Retreat
This was our second time staying at this little piece of Heaven. So peaceful and quiet - and fun! We loved floating in the little pond and listening to the nature sounds (because that is all you could hear up there) The little cabin had everything we needed and everything was very clean. We will definitely be back.

We loved staying at Esther's place! It's just as advertised, if not even more charming. We were there during the hottest week of the year so far (temps near triple digits), and the A/C & fans kept up well. My family and I had a lovely time in our little cabin. We were greeted when we arrived and got all the info we needed for the weekend. Even the resident dogs came to say hello, which the kid loved. Mornings at the cabin were particularly beautiful- so peaceful and full of song birds. There were other cabins on the property, but the lush forest made you feel secluded. It was a nice little getaway.

We loved staying here. We wanted a secluded, quiet place but didn’t want have to be stuck outside in case of weather. This location offered trees for our hammocks and a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom inside. The hot tub was an added bonus that topped it all off. Even though it was still too cold in early May, my boys enjoyed jumping in to the pond.

It has everything you need -- from the little things to the big things. It is a beautiful cabin with plenty of space for 8-9 adults. Three spacious full bathrooms. I also love how it is deeply nestled in the woods but still only 5-10 minutes to a town with a grocery store.

William has a sweet spot on the hill side, the deck is great to kick it on. He has some really cute friendly hound dogs that came to welcome us and meet our pup. William is very responsive and attentive to any requests. He’s a good dude. Has lots of food and snack options if you forget

We had a great time at Shady Maple cabin! It was a beautiful place to unwind, de-stress, and be in an amazing setting! The cabin had everything you would need for a relaxing time. We love a good log cabin and this did not disappoint! It was clean, had snacks, jacuzzi tub inside, a hot tub outside, board games, was private enough and everything worked as it should. Shout out to the hosts for sharing this beautiful property with us! Will definitely go back!

2 nights at Deer Haven Secluded Cabin
Deer Haven is a WONDERFUL property! Brent literally has just about everything you will need during your stay in the cabin. It is secluded, peaceful and clean! Every morning you walk outside to a picture perfect view. We caught and released some bass, bluegill and more out of the pond, the trails around the property have a clear path to walk through and the hot tub was very clean and relaxing. We throughly enjoyed our time here and we are already planning our next stay at Deer Haven!

Great Lakes Plains
Sandy beaches and island getaways dot the 312-mile shore of Lake Erie, stretching from Toledo through Cleveland to Conneaut. East Harbor State Park is a highlight of the Lake Erie Birding Trail, and birders flock to nearby Maumee Bay State Park during the spring warbler migration. The most scenic spots for summer camping are on the islands, and regular ferries set out for the Bass Islands and Kelleys Island state parks.
Till Plains
Cornfields and farmlands blanket Ohio’s central region, but there are also more than a dozen state parks within a short drive of Columbus. The limestone gorges of John Bryan State Park harbor some of the region’s best hiking trails, while to the north, the Mohican River is one of Ohio’s top spots for canoeing. For beaches, boating, and lakeside campgrounds, Indian Lake State Park and Alum Creek State Park are both popular choices.
Appalachian Plateau
East of the Till Plains, the patchwork farmlands of Amish Country lead the way to the state’s only national park, Cuyahoga Valley. This is where Ohio’s adventurous spirit comes into its own—take a ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad, go ziplining or caving in the Hocking Hills State Park, or enjoy backcountry camping in the heart of the Wayne National Forest.
Bluegrass Region
Rambling woodlands and steep cliffs line the banks of the Ohio River in the state’s southernmost region. Just outside Cincinnati, East Fork State Park has one of the largest state campgrounds in Ohio, while the rugged landscapes of the Shawnee State Park are just a 2-hour drive from the city. For hikers, the ultimate challenge is the North Country National Scenic Trail, which cuts through southern Ohio.
