(easy access from 33 and to Logan) There are various places around the property to pitch a tent. There are also options for RV parking with no hookups as well as a site with 30/50 amp. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. If you are traveling with an RV, the Sunny Rest location is the best with campfire. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Apple product GPS will not get you to this location, use the pin on Google Maps.

A toilet and solar shower are located at the center of the property. An outdoor water spigot is also available. Guests are expected to follow the "Leave No Trace" principles. Any trash packed onto the property must be bagged and taken with you.

We are located 9 miles from Laurelville, 16.4 miles from Logan, 17 miles from Lancaster, 19 miles from Circleville, where stores and dinning are abundant and easily accessible. The property is full of wildlife and magnificent views and rainbows galore, with minimal light pollution, our night sky's are spectacular. We are within a 30 minutes drive of all of Hocking Hills State Parks, Nature preserves and so much more. Hocking Hills features beautiful towering cliffs, thrilling waterfalls, and deep, hemlock-shaded gorges. With stunning ice formations in winter, wildflowers adorning the forest floor in springtime and vivid foliage in the fall, hikers and nature lovers have plenty to enjoy in this awe-inspiring area. Other local activities include, rock climbing, ziplining, ATV/UTV Rentals and tours, along with Canoe/Kayaking on the hocking river, horseback riding and so much more. Southern Ohio offers some amazing roads for motorcycle rides, including the Hocking Hills Scenic Byway, The Windy 9, The Triple Nickel and Three Rivers . Please message me on the morning of your stay with an ETA so I can make sure I'm here to great you. RVers if you are coming in from US Rte 33 please use Buena Vista Rd. Buena Vista Rd is one exit after Oppossum Hollow if you are heading East on 33 and also one exit pass 374 if you are heading West on 33. GPS will usually route you onto Oppossum Hollow Rd or State Rte 374. The State Rte 374 route will have you turn onto Oppossum Hollow. Oppossum Hollow road is a one lane unlined rd and is not the best for RVs. Taking Buena Vista Rd will only add about a mile and a few minutes to your trip. Be advised Buena Vista is a very curvey road but is traveled by large vehicles all the time. Just take it slow and you will be fine. We have a dully truck and 45 ft rig that we bring in and out just fine. If you are coming in from the South (Chillicothe area.) From State Rte 180, please take Jack Run Rd. This is also a paved two lane road. All other roads in the area are single lane rds and are not the best for RVs (don't use Middlefork, Long Run, Stump Run, or Clapper Hollow off of State Rte 180). While we don't allow hunting on our property, PUBLIC HUNTING is permitted in Zaleski State Forest (bordering our property) as well as the neighboring Waterloo Wildlife Area and the 5000 acre Wild Turkey management area. 4 nights at Camping with Unruly Goats

This is the second time we have stayed with Unruly Goats. We had another trip planned out but it fell through at the last second. Our last minute reservation was easily accommodated and our stay was quiet, quaint, and filled with lots of fun animals. Communication with the host was a breeze. The site was clean and well kept. The porta-potty was clean and available even during winter. The animals were curious about our set up but never overbearing and never messed with our stuff. Parking was easy and made set up a breeze, no need to hike to your site. Thanks for another great stay!

Love the independent check-in. The property is fantastic. My daughter and I always go to the same spot every time. It is extremely peaceful and quiet. The valley that we camp in never has any wind. Perfect for tent camping. Caleb is always very accommodating and a great host.

Beautiful spot, only 15 minutes from Old Man’s Cave. Jimbos Burgers is a good spot for food only 5-6 minutes away. Spot 1 had plenty of trees for Hammock camping, and plenty of space for tents as well. The fire ring was perfect, and we felt safe in this spot! We definitely recommend and plan to be back :D

The site was huge and pristine! The weather was not ideal for us novice campers, however, and we cut our trip a day short. But the location was wonderful, and the site was lovely, and the portapotty was very convenient. We will definitely consider returning in the spring with a better tent 😉

Weekend Trip to Woody Acres

A nice Hipcamp done exceptionally well. The Stargazer site is next to the owners driveway but don’t let that stop you. Their property is quiet and peaceful with well maintained walking trails and a great privy. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed talking with the owners and getting to visit with their cat. It was a perfect evening in a location with many parks in the area.

Best part... The stars at night. Beautiful! Porta pot was clean. Camp store was a nice touch. Wish we would have looked at the map better. We would have taken a hike. Weekend Trip to Salt Creek Camp at Sunnyvale Farm

Great site- all the basic needs met. Electric and water hookup. Close to campus/ Athens. Was able to pull up next to a cement slab, which was great since it rained all weekend. Road was close but couldn’t hear traffic inside our camper. Well maintained spot. Definitely plan to come back a few times a year while kid is at OU!!

Amazing location, definitely off the beaten track. Loved the privacy, the scenic oasis and the trails along the river/creek. Our dog Gemma, loved to run free on her walks with her owners, including the rail trail. The colors of autumn were such an enjoyable treat from this location. If you’re in the area, it’s a gem!

Weekend Trip to Butterfly Valley at Zaleski

What an awesome site! Especially if you’re into biking. The Moonville Rail Trail is just a stones throw away. The campsite has a maze of awesome clover paved walking trails. Great for walking your dog! Location is an easy walk to the Kings Hollow Tunnel and an easy bike ride to the Moonville Tunnel.

Weekend Trip to Hilltop Resorts and Campgrounds

We loved camping at Hilltop over Halloween weekend. We went hiking in Hocking Hills on Saturday and had trick or treaters and decorated and won the best decorated contest! Karen was very thoughtful and had breakfast on Saturday morning. The only thing that I would change is the site itself. Some weren’t level but we adjusted our camper to be level. Bath house was great and clean with showers. We loved the dog park all fenced in at the top.

The Sunny Rest Skyview was nice and spacious. Jim was a great host! He offered free firewood, and even brough more the second day. We didn't wander around the property too much, but it was nice and peaceful. The dogs came to visit and were very friendly :D During the day we could hear the traffic on route 33, but in the evening it died down and got pretty quiet. This campsite is right on the access road, so everyone else in-and-out passed right by us, but it wasn't a big deal. All in it was a great experience and I definitely recommend!

It's Old Man's Cave! Hard to go wrong here. Another spot that seems to be more suited to RV camping than tent camping. WE actually paid to stay in the group area because were with a few other families. Loved the spot. Close to the restrooms, showers, laundry, and the kids favorite: the pool! It was hot when we went to s it was nice for the kids to get to cool off in the pool. The restroom was clean. If you find yourself needing to use the laundry (like we did thanks to some rain, and a leaky tent..... thankfully it was just some wet towels) make sure you have some change, and bring your own detergent and fabric softener. We definitely plan on going again.

Old Man’s Cave Campground

Something between an RV park and a state park campground. Don't let the crowds put you off, tho. Grin and bear it at the campground, then during the day take full advantage of the lovely trails, the caves, the natural rock formations and those rivers. Bathrooms are new-ish, but there's a real bug problem at this campground (maybe because the water treatment is right on site); bathrooms swarmed. My campsite (G1, right between the public swimming pool and the sewage treatment area) is best avoided but try to score the larger group campsite next to G1, and you should be okay. What I loved: the trails through rhododendron jungles, the rush of the river and the falls.
