We spent three nights in our RV. It was lovely, peaceful, and quiet. The host was very nice. Even though we were close to the barn and house we had our privacy. It was exactly the quiet getaway we needed.

Beautiful, peaceful spot to camp. The pit toilet was squeaky clean and the picnic table was great! Having horses around grazing is just an added bonus.

Just the quiet getaway that was needed. Perfect for a solo camper with a dog. The site is very roomy and well-kept! Nothing near the site, so very peaceful and quiet. I'll definitely be back!

Always love staying at Suzie’s site! Campsite is clean and well maintained. Outhouse is appreciated. Beautiful views of pasture and fields. Table is a plus.

Loved this spot! I needed a last minute site to test out gear for a larger trip and this was perfect. It was so quiet and the host was very accommodating. The horses were a lovely bonus! Will definitely be back :)

Farm Living at a Quiet Horse Rescue
Suzie and family were so welcoming. We felt so comfortable and they have such a beautiful property. You don’t get to wake up to the sight of horses grazing in a pasture too often :) we stayed at the primitive site and we had everything we needed. We had a great campfire and enjoyed s’mores in the evening! Would definitely recommend staying with Suzie

Our stay was perfect! Such a peaceful and beautiful property. We sat in our chairs and watched the horses for hours, had a lovely campfire and saw a gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Hosts were friendly and helpful. I’d def recommend this Hipcamp to all!

We had an amazing stay at the wooded site. Picnic table and benches, outhouse, water at the barn, large fire pit, well manicured site..... I could go on for hours about the wildlife and serenity. Suzie is a helpful, attentive host that answered any questions I had.

We enjoyed tent camping on Suzie's farm for the second time. Suzie is a gracious host. Bellefontaine is a charming town to explore with unique small shops, antique stores and restaurants. Then just minutes from town you can relax in the peaceful woods by the farm while camping. We enjoyed waking up and having our coffee by the campfire while watching the horses in the fog.

We loved seeing the eclipse on Suzie’s land. One of the quietest places we have ever stayed. The rescued horses were beautiful and Suzie helped us find a place out of the wind to pitch our tent. The composting toilet was so clean, and her farm so pretty and green.
It was a bit windy, but this was early April in Ohio and the whole path of totality was experiencing stormy weather.
Susie and Mike were kind and her place is a haven for rescued horses, dogs, cats and any other stray creatures that may come by.

A grassy and shaded site on the corner of a woods next to a horse pasture and cornfield. In the morning I ate breakfast as i watched the horses graze as the sun arose behind them. In the evening the geese gather for the night in the protected wetland down the hill. As the darkness settles in, the frogs begin their evening serenade and I fell asleep very quickly. No bugs to bother me because there had been two nights of freezing temperatures prior to my arrival. Normally I would expect flies from the farm and mosquitoes from the vernal pond in the woods behind me so I was pleasantly surprised.
Susie is a great host and goes out of her way to make sure you have a good experience.

Very peaceful place to unwind for a couple of days. We loved waking up to the foggy mornings and the horses roaming. Although it’s only a few mins away from town, you feel like you’re a 100 miles away. I met the hosts immediately upon arrival and they were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a relaxing time in the wooded tent site. We were greeted as soon as we pulled in and were shown where to drive right up to the site. I had requested to purchase 2 bundles of firewood and it was waiting for us at the campsite. Well maintained, clean latrine. Also, well maintained lovely large site.

Very nice site. Quiet and peaceful, lots of shade. It's close enough to the city and the Simon Kenton bike trail for adventures. I will definitely return.

This was a peaceful place in the country as advertised. There were lots of wild animals along with the horses. This is a great place to watch the night sky. Susie and her husband took some time to tell me about the local history which is pretty interesting. Down town is only minutes away, but it really felt like you were a thousand miles from nowhere.

We had a great time staying on Suzie’s land! It is absolutely gorgeous and the horses were so nice to watch. We stayed in the wooded site which was very well maintained and offered tons of space, shade, and the outhouse was very clean. Plus, for a low price her husband delivered firewood to our campsite which made everything that much easier. 11/10!

We had a very relaxing and peaceful time at “Farm Living”. It’s a beautiful spot, with the horses and the fields—literally the definition of bucolic. The directions were easy to follow and Suzy is a great communicator. If I ever find myself camping this way again I definitely will try to make this a stop.
