Ron’s land was well taken care of and thought out. He was very communicative and helpful. The address isn’t correct but it’s easy to find the barn even so. It’s right off of a road so there’s some road noise but no people to stare you in the face lol. Overall I enjoyed my time here and my puppies enjoyed being off leash and exploring the acreage.

Beautiful little piece of land very close to Paint Creek river/lake. Perfect location for us to drive a few minutes and enjoy our paddle boards out on the river. Love watching the Amish drive by in their buggies! Would definitely stay again if in the area
Nice quite place in the country. Simple and private. I enjoyed being there. Also close to some great places to hike and explore nature.

Wonderful site, maintained well very private nice view out to the meadow and woods
We love staying here! This is our 5th or 6th trip in 4 seasons. Plenty of room, lots of peace and quiet! Great host that has great local honey.
We really enjoyed our weekend at Ohio Red Barn. Even though there was a bit more traffic on the road than we imagined, we still felt like we had privacy. We enjoyed the quiet nights and being so close to the Amish bakery and general store as well as Paint Creek. Great hiking nearby as well. We would definitely camp here again.

Great location close to Paint Creek area. All by yourself, quick response from Ron.
This is a great spot to tent camp. There's an Amish deli a little down the road, and a boat ramp across the bridge. I don't think my dog has ever seen a horse, and was enthralled every time they trotted past. It's a good place to light a fire and enjoy the evening.

Ohio Red Barn
I only spent one night here, but I enjoyed it. There is plenty of space to choose from and electricity for basic needs. It is beside a road that had a decent amount of traffic, even at night, but I didn't find it overly noisy.
The bathroom is a camp toilet in a popup tent, so keep that in mind when booking. It was mentioned in other reviews, so I knew what to expect, but something to consider if you're considering the space.
Relaxing and peaceful! Great host. Clean and nice property. Never have any issues with electricity.
We had a great time and a great spot for the Perseid Meteor Shower with a great perspective of the northern sky. Convenient and easy to find and good resources. Good communication from Ron, the owner.

The family's 3rd time out and we love it!! It's great for the star lovers in the family!
The site is well maintained and charming a bit rustic and Ron is awesome!
Plenty of flat ground for tents, easy access, picnic tables, fire ring, and trash can. Pretty area. Toilet tent is not what I prefer but a good site to camp for the night.
Its very beautiful and peaceful especially at night when you can see sky so clearly perfect for star gazing
This Hipcamp site was perfect for our camping setup and camper van. It was the perfect location for exploring Paint Creek Lake. Ron was a great host, awesome communication and very informative. He even checked on us after a bad storm rolled through. We set up our pop tent on a flat spot and our camp site did stay dry after a heavy down pour. We would definitely revisit this site. Thank you Ron for sharing your Hipcamp!!

Ohio Red Barn
We enjoyed camping at Ron's Ohio Red Barn. I enjoyed seeing buggies passing, we saw a buck the one morning with some deer in the field. The last night we did hear 2 packs of coyotes that sounded somewhat close.
Other than dogs barking and light road noise the campsite was enjoyable. Thank you for your speedy response
3rd visit and was not disappointed! Great, clean site. Host is just as great! Very peaceful and relaxing. Not too much traffic or noise. Very close to lake and hiking trails. Will do a return visit in future.
I'm not sure better camping could be found for the money. The Red Barn has what you need; clear space for pitching one or several tents, a couple of solid picnic tables, a fire ring, an out-house, and easy access. Yes, it is a bit close to the road but the traffic is light and nearly non-existent at night. Ron's communication was excellent. If you are looking for a no-frills place to pitch your tent close to Paint Creek, this may be you place.
Nice little place outside a small town. Not much to it, which is exactly what my son and I were looking for. Wanted to try out sleeping in our ev, so it was nice to be able to plug in. Quiet and secluded, this is a wonderful alternative to noisy crowded campgrounds.
A very nice, cozy spot. A good home base for visiting Paint Creek, Rocky Fork, and nearby nature sanctuaries(fyi, dogs not allowed in many parts of the sanctuaries/reserves). The campsite sat back off the road enough to give it a private feel, but traffic could be heard, if that's an issue. I was not able to let my dogs off leash, unfortunately, because they wanted to head for the road. We did explore the woods behind the campsite though. Ron was very helpful, and quick to respond to any questions. Another bonus of the location were the nearby stores(within 10 min) for any supplies, and I even had a yummy pizza from Joey's pizza! All-in-all, was a very pleasant camping excursion.

Ohio Red Barn
The site was easy to find and clean. There was an outdoor bathroom that was very helpful and a fire pit. It is right next to a road but it is not very busy and the cars won't keep you up at night.
Great 5* super quiet going back next weekend
The site was very nice. Level and plenty of room. Grassy, very little mud and we had rain two of the three days we were there. The owner was very easy to work with, communication was great. Our plans changed and we did not arrive the first night, but did arrive early the second day of our reservation. The owner gave us an unrequested partial refund, which was unexpected but very nice. I hope to use the site again. The fire ring is moveable and so is the one picnic table. The only minor negative we had was that the portable toilet was a small pop up tent (think shower stall size) with a small plastic toilet with bags that had to be changed after every use. I will say that it was clean and had plenty of supplies, including hand sanitizer. That said, it is only a short drive into town for actual bathrooms. The road noise was minimal, in fact the clop-clop of the occasional horse and buggy was unique and pleasant. Overall, good value and it was a great stay, despite the rain and the "tinkle tent" as our group nicknamed it.

Ohio Red Barn
Ohio Red Barn was perfect for our one-night stay while passing through the area: quiet, private. Ron answered text messages within minutes.
Next time, we'll be sure to bring the telescope. My husband is an amateur astronomer, and the dark skies and brilliant stars were breathtaking.
This is a pretty little gem tucked in Amish country. I chose it because it was a single site Hipcamp. There are neighbors across the street but the property allows for privacy. The land was beautiful, and even though it rained for much of our stay we didn't contend with mud because of the clean landscaping. Ron provides a nice picnic table, fire ring and clean toilet facilities. He is also very attentive and gracious. We had a great time winding through rural country roads, walking the trails at Paint Creek, and visting the small town nearby. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful large green pasture next an old red barn, had a nice time with my boys and my husband, stayed outside with the fire for a little while and made s’mores. Our boys loved it. There’s no cell phone reception which is the only small problem.
