Folks, book it! Fruitdale Farms is the ideal spot for tent camping or enjoying quiet nights in one of their wonderful cabins on the property. There's solid trails, a refreshing pond to take a dip, a beautiful stream, along with plenty of shade in the woods. You will be kindly welcomed. It's an 11 outta 10!

Janine and Clinton’s property was beautiful and well kept/maintained. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The campsite was exactly what we were looking for. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable as well and made sure that if we needed anything during our stay to let them know. We hope to return to this campsite in the future!

Great private site right next to a field - the stars were amazing at night! While it's somewhat close to a road, there was very little traffic during the day and none at night. Host supplied electric, water, and firewood - couldn't ask for much else!

Expect a sense of community, friendship and peace in this unique site. The excellent kitchen was a pleasant surprise to find and very helpful. Each site comes with a firepit if you'd prefer that. It was perfect for a weekend of local tourism and unplugged relaxation by a shady creek. Your hosts are helpful and wonderful people.

This was one of our favorite camping experiences ever! This Hipcamp was a fantastic getaway! We loved the privacy, the relaxing river, and cleanliness of the site. Seeing a snake, herons, and frogs made it feel like a real nature escape. The owner's attention to removing invasive species and planting native plants really made a difference. They were also super attentive to our needs and even jumped our truck when the battery died. We can't wait to come back!

3 nights at Fruitdale Farm

We held a 3 day silent meditation retreat on Aimee's land and it was absolutely magical. Perfect location for all of us to sink into silence together. The woodland paths were perfect for guided forest bathing, we had plenty of spots for gathering for guided meditations and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking nourishing meals for everyone (we were able to purchase greens, herbs and eggs from Aimee, which was lovely to be able to eat as local as possible). We all camped and used the cabins for places to escape the heat, make herbal tea and made a little altar in the Sugar Shack cabin and also had tarot cards there for everyone to use. All the animal visitors and sounds also really added to the experience: the bullfrogs, fawn, birds, chickens, cats, fish, rabbits. A really beautiful location and communication with Aimee was super easy. 10/10 recommend.

The view is beautiful and really great places to eat within biking/walking distance. Especially recommend Pig Candy at the entry to Eldorado St. The site has a “cabin” with a working toilet but the shower has no hot water. Polly was accessible with any concerns and we absolutely enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic time staying in the Creekside cottage. Falling asleep to the sound of the creek next to us was extremely peaceful, and the cottage was very thoughtfully decorated and equipped! There was a grill available, though we had fun cooking over the open fire. David was a friendly and attentive host, and we really enjoyed hearing about the history of the property! We can’t wait to return!

The amenities, the land, and the host are nothing short of amazing. We wanted for absolutely nothing on our stay and our children had the best time and loved David. None of us were ready to leave- but we will certainly be returning.

1 night at Home Afarm

The land was absolutely beautiful, the fireflies were out and the weather was pleasant, hardly any mosquitoes despite there being a pond. The vibe of the camping spot was serene and close to nature and the people who live on the property were kind! I will definitely come back next time I come to visit the serpent mound because it’s super close, and there’s a homey feel to the land.

Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound. Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1). ***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

This property was the original location of Todd’s Fork Bluegrass Festivals back in the 70’s and is directly on Todd’s Fork with 1/2 mile of River frontage. We reside within the Village of Morrow, walking distance to restaurants and stores. The little Miami Bike Trail is approximately 1/4 mile from our entrance. This property is tucked away and you wouldn’t even know you’re close to town once you’re on site. Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.

We welcome both small and large groups and can help you plan events here such as family reunions, bachelor(ette) parties, and corporate retreats. With one canoe livery within two miles of us (Little Miami Canoe), you can drop your canoe or kayak in upstream and make your campsite a pit stop before getting picked up downstream by their shuttles. You can also rent a tube from us and go up and down our property or hang out on your tube anchored by the beach. We can also shuttle you upstream on Saturdays and Sundays. You can hike on our property to get scenic views of the Little Miami River Valley or spend time exploring Halls Creek (just down the street), the Fort Ancient Mounds, and others. We know other special local spots we can let you in on, too. We are just a 1/2 mile from the Little Miami Bike Trail and close to Caesar's Creek, Cowan Lake, YMCA's Camp Kearn, and Camp Joy. Plain Folk Music Cafe, Fresh to Morrow, Valley Vineyards, and Little River Cafe, are also short drives if you want to grab a bite to eat and vibe on some cool, local hangouts. The Viking Longhall

The Viking longhall has been 9 years in the making by a group of semi serious Viking enthusiasts: the result is a 60 foot long building that has 18, 8,x4' sleeping berths. Set apart from the main open area it also boasts 2 meeting rooms and a kitchen. The campsite is a very peaceful place. Some go as far as to say a healing place! We are proud of what we have achieved and now want people to come out and enjoy it also. The field is close enough to the Appalachian highway (state route 32) for convenience, but far enough not to be bothered by it. The area is steeped in Native American culture. In fact, the world famous Serpent Mound is but 8 miles away, with many other Adena culture sites within easy driving distance. It's also in the heart of the Amish community. The area is known for its natural beauty with many hiking trails and canoeing opportunities. The area is awash in beauty and history from the ancient mound culture to the amish culture. The area has many hiking trails some of which are part of the buckeye trail and range in length from an easy 1 mile loop to rugged hikes of many miles. Hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, hunting, swimming, and more are available at several state parks and historical sites like within 10-30 minutes of the farm. Amish country is likewise near at hand with several bakeries, markets, furniture shops, and greenhouses. Our primitive sites are spaced for privacy, with a gravel parking area near the cottage and additional field parking is available near the road on the opposite site of the main house. While most sites are walk-in only, the upper field sites may be able to be parked near and the Lower Meadow, Boneyard, and Oak Grove may be able to be driven to, as weather and site conditions permit.
