Bear Pond will accommodate small RVs and Travel trailers. Nola's Cabin is a New availability as an Extra. Nola's Cabin is a Cozy small quiet cabin situated at the end of the gravel driveway under the trees. Overlooks the small valley down into the hill across the creek. Nice cozy place out of the elements. Water and Electric is available on site, with only Electric in Nolas Cabin. Nolas Cabin accommodates 4 people nicely. Twin (1) over full bunk (2) with Trundle (1). 6 inch Memory foam pads with liners are present on beds. Get a good nights rest while on your getaway, and still enjoy your outdoor cooking, fishing and star gazing. During inclement weather, a single serve K cup style coffee maker and Microwave are available to start your morning off. Bear Pond does have garbage bags upon request. But we ask you carry your refuse out with you due to the wildlife. Bear Pond is Furry Family Friendly. Nola's cabin is an out of the elements alternative for pitching a tent. Electric is available in Nola's Cabin as well as a small fridge/freezer, Portable AC/Heat, microwave and single serve k cup coffee maker. Wake up in Nola's Cabin, make your camp coffee and breath the morning fresh air as you watch the beautiful sunrise over the trees. your only 4.5 miles from anything you need, Gas, supermarket, auto store, food. If you prefer small Mom and Pop Diners, stop in and say Hi to Milburn and Margaret at Mikey's Family Restaurant,  Charcoal Grill is supplied in case you just want to bring charcoal and camp cook. Perfect couple vacation

We absolutely enjoyed our visit to Bear Pond. There are several spots that would be great to set up a tent but we decided to use Nola’s Cabin which was a perfect combination of amenities and very comfortable for the two of us. Easy to get to and very private. We loved being the only campers. The cooking area was nice to have and we were able to bring less stuff than we normally do which was great coming from 4 hours away. There’s loads to do in the area and stores close for supplies if needed. We can’t wait to come back and hopefully bring our family next time.

Very nice property. Our family really enjoyed the time we spent at Bear Pond. The property seemed so secluded we saw maybe 5 cars. It was only 10 minutes to Walmart.

Betty Sue and I love going to Bear Pond so peaceful. We love watching the birds 🐦 walking in the creek and waiting for the day mom lets me get in the pond! We are happy campers in a tent 🏕️ or in the cabin when it’s raining 🌧️ or snowing 🌨️ we have everything we need to just be still and relax on the porch and watch and listen to the bird’s singing we throughly enjoy the Berling’s property , properly. Only thing bad is leaving! Home away from Home 🏕️ 🐕‍🦺☮️

Once again, I had another incredible stay at Bear Pond. This time, I used Nola’s Cabin, which is available as an extra, along with firewood bundles and other amenities. Host John has included many thoughtful appointments to the cabin, including a nice-sized refrigerator with a real freezer, heating, fan, table, screens on the windows, and space for your own belongings. I am so very fussy about mattresses, but the sleep accommodations at Nola’s Cabin are outstanding. I slept incredibly well, which makes for a great day of hiking the next morning. If I had my own place in Adams County, I would want it to be like Nola's Cabin at Bear Pond.

I just love being away from everything and having the peace and quiet of the outdoors. If it wasn’t for my physical issues, we would like to have stayed. We hated to have to come back 2 days early

Betty Sue, and I loved staying @ Nola’s cabin, it’s the perfect place to stay out of the elements, it offers everything you need to have a peaceful, relaxing stay. The 🌲pine trees are absolutely beautiful. My next visit I will bring my paints and sit on the porch and paint 🎨 My 100 # Cane Corso dog BettySue though she was in seventh Heaven! We both enjoyed our stay at John’s, Bear Pond property and they were perfect host. Thank you! We be back ASAP✌️

Bear pond is a must visit!! It was so peaceful out there. The night sky is beautiful out and John has the shelter equipped with all you need. It was down to 10 degrees one night but I was perfectly warm in the shelter. Highly recommended!

This was a great property to stay at. I was there for 6 night with my dad and it was so nice having heat and AC both in the cabin. There is a water hook up that worked great with the portable shower I brought. John was great to communicate with the entire time I was there.

We had a great time camping here! The camp stove and picnic tables were really great, the tables were spread around the camp area for easy use. Nolas cabin was a lovely area for my kids to relax in with some protection from our chilly overnight temps! Extra add-on eggs and firewood made meal planning and campfires a breeze. Thank you for a lovely weekend!!

Great dry stay in the cabin
Bear Pond
We had a great time at John's place. It is very quiet with maybe 6 cars going down the road while we were there. It rained all night and we stayed dry in the cabin. We brought air mattresses but did not need them due to the comfy memory foam beds. We will definitely come back next fall.and maybe later this year.

Nice, secluded, developing property. Heard lots of wildlife and enjoyed the star filled sky. The host is super responsive and the property was just as described. Nice little getaway!

Great spot! The spigot, port-a-pot, and firewood on site were very convenient. Loved the fresh eggs available for purchase. The pond was nice - fish were biting but they were small. Adams Lake and Miller’s (Amish) are also nearby!

This campsite was everything our group needed! It has the perfect amount of space (we fit 4 tents and 5 hammocks with room to spare) and the little cabin was clutch. Fresh eggs on arrival was awesome and there was tons of firewood available. The porta potty was clean and did everything we needed it to do, and the water on site was fantastic.

John was immensely helpful leading up to my stay. And was very helpful once I was there. He obviously cares about taking care of his guests. There was no service at the camp which was great for helping everyone connect. The site was the exactly perfect combo of modern & woodsy. With easy access to the town nearby & gorgeous stargazing i absolutely recommend bear pond it was quiet and peaceful & fun.

Such a nice private spot to relax. The sounds of all the different birds and seeing so many baby deer run through the property was awesome! Had plenty of good wood a nice spot to lay our heads after a long day of fishing at the pond. Our 9 year old son who's an extreme fisherman caught so many fish! We will definitely be back! The fresh chicken eggs were awesome for our breakfast too! Thank you John for letting us stay on your property!!!

Property was nice. No firewood on site to purchase, and the little blocks that were there wouldn't burn so we had to go to town and purchase bundles for 7.99 each. There was plenty of wood to pull from woods, but it was too wet. The entire campsite associated with the cabin is on a downward slope. There were no trash receptacles of any kind on property. The porch is hazardous with no rail, and the concrete slab with picnic table was very hazardous around fire pit. The fire pit itself is in a place where you cannot put chairs around it due to being too unlevel. The amount of stars we saw was amazing. The cabin itself was dirty. Sheets on bed were dirty, and so were the floors. Porta potty was not bad at all. We paid for 4 people and our 3rd didn't show so he did refund the extra $10 , which was appreciated. Having the water spigot, the grills, and the propane stove and oven, was very nice. The deck and ramp were a little scary due to some very old and worn wood. Despite the small stuff we made the best of it, and it wasn't terrible, but we won't be returning again. Host was prompt returning messages, but wasn't available to solve any of the issues we came acrossed. The place was not very well taken care of. Grass all around the sight was not mowed with the exception of a few strips directly around cabin and porta potty. There are no flat areas except at bottom of hill, but grass was so high you couldn't set up a tent. All 3 of us fell at some point due to unlevel area.

Lovely, private spot! The cabin was cozy and kept us dry during a spectacular thunderstorm. John has set up a nice, little camp stove which was so convenient. Open space to pitch a tent if that's what you want to do. The number of birds we heard was unbelievable and even saw a little turtle swimming around in the pond. Coyotes and owls at night and endless star gazing. Perfect spot to unwind. Highly recommend!

It was a welcome return to Bear Pond this spring. John quickly responded to queries and was incredibly helpful in getting me settled through Hipcamp messaging. New since my last stay at Bear Pond is Nolas Cabin, on-site water via yard hydrant, firewood bundles, and a wooden deck with chairs. I slept in my rig on four wheels and appreciated the level parking area. I took advantage of the covered porch on Nolas Cabin. What a luxury to be able to stow things away from rain and wind without having to use a tarp. The picnic table and grill are on a concrete slab, which means even if it rained for several days in a row, one can still cook out without getting muddy boots. The fire ring is just off the slab. I visit Adams County in the spring for the flora and fauna, and Bear Pond delivers. A pair of red-shouldered hawks, barred owls, and a Louisiana waterthrush were all within view between the tulip tree and the white pine where I hung the hammock. I feel fortunate to be able to stay at Bear Pond, hook up to the on-site electric, and be able to keep tabs on the weather via a Verizon signal. Bear Pond is a wonderful respite in nature.

This camp area was just what my family needed. The host was very attentive to my messages, friendly, and willing to help. He has a cooking station set up now beside Nola's cabin that will be amazing once he is finished with it. Nola's cabin fit my wife and I along with out 2 kids just fine. I would stay here again, and probably will next spring to see the wild flowers in the area.

John is responsive and considerate. Bear Pond provides an awesome blend of the amenities of a campground with water & electric and the experience of being alone on private land or dispersed camping in a secluded area. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be returning. Excellent jumping off point for the SOAL and the GOAT adventure routes.

I had a wonderful time at Bear Pond staying in Nola's Cabin. The site was beautiful and peaceful, situated in the woods with creeks surrounding it. John was very helpful and made sure everything was ready for me while respecting my privacy. I highly recommend this space.

Great place for a little R&R. Super affordable and worth every penny. Im definitly going back. It is pretty close to the road however for my 2 night stay i had very little road noise.

We camped out at bear pond for our wedding anniversary weekend, it was very peaceful and quiet. There is a road near the campsite though traffic isn’t bad at all and dies down in the evening. We definitely plan on camping here again with our family. The owner is very nice and prompt with response if you have any questions.

We had a great time camping at Bear Pond. The best part was not having any noisy neighbors and having the whole area to ourselves. The pond was good for fishing which was a bonus, and John’s communication was quick and helpful.
