Very nice family campground. Obviously they are putting a lot of love and elbow grease into making it an absolute gem. We were the only tenants for most of the week and the kids loved the playground and watching the river traffic. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, spacious sites, well maintained grounds. They hooked up a sewer while we were there so it was full hookups by the end of the week. Highly recommended!!

We stayed here overnight on our way out west. It was clean, quiet and people were friendly. View was great. Julie was super nice when we didn’t know how to hook up our power! Would definitely stay here again. Wish it was longer.

Julie was a great, warm and welcoming host. I arrived later than I expected but she was there to show around the property and to my site. Beautiful spot right by the Ohio river; all the ground were well maintained. And the shower and bathroom facilities were really clean and functional. Great stay at a great place.

Relaxing weekend with great views of the Ohio River and hills of Kentucky on the other side. Owners and camp hosts were very friendly and kept the campground well maintained. Excellent water pressure and nice bathhouse with individual private units, each with toilet,sink, and shower with plenty of room. Great job with the playground. Nice boat launch with beach area for the kids to swim.

We stayed here for two nights, but wish it could have been longer. Most friendly owners I have ever had the pleasure of camping with! Our site was right on the Ohio River and we loved watching the barges go by. If you’re in the area, stay here - you will love it!!!!

Hosts Julie, Darcy, Bob and Ann are the greatest. Very warm and welcoming and also very helpful. I hope to return. They appear to take great pride in their campground and it shows in the cleanliness and orderliness of the place. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience.

This was a hidden gem my wife and I stumbled upon through a camping newsletter. It's about 20 minutes West of Portsmouth, OH and was a terrific campsite. About 40 sites, 10 on the Ohio river with a huge green belt area and playground. Firewood, ice, showers are just some of the additional features.

We stayed in a new primitive site. It would have been nice to be more secluded but all in all it was clean and enjoyable.

Beautiful campground in the rolling hills of southern Ohio. Nice site on the Ohio River, owners were very friendly making sure we were happy and that we loved out site(which we did, we were on site #2).
Can't say enough good things about this place, if you don't need the pool and all of the other things that come along with a chain campground, this is the place for you, nicely off the beaten path and I am all about supporting mom & pop, small biz type campgrounds.

We absolutely loved staying at Sandy Springs Campground! The site we stayed at was located right on the river and it was fun to watch the boats go by. The staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted & needed. Can’t wait to plan our next trip:)

The host was an excellent host we had a wonderful time it was a very well maintained and clean campground we will definately be going back and recommend to everyone looking to camp along the ohio river we give this place a 2 thumbs up and thanks to the fabulous host 😁😁😁

Nice, pretty quiet ,well maintained ,nice to have a shower and a laundry (bring your quarters two dollars for washer 1:50 dryer) bathrooms very spacious and sparkling clean. Host Julie was very accommodating I would definitely recommend it
