Great place! We stayed at the little tree house. It was a perfect spot. Tucked into the edge of the woods and right next to the fire pit with picknick table and the Loo that were nestled in a clearing in the woods. The edge of the pond is visible from the front windows. We had the place all to ourselves. We fished the catch and release pond that had HUGE carp, and had dinner on the cute dock. We took our kayaks down to Cowan Lake, of which there is access to, about a mile down the road from the property. Owners were friendly. Offered us another night if we wanted, but even though their house is on the property (around the corner and barely visible) they gave us our space and we felt that our privacy was respected. There was a heating terracotta pot with candles which was so exciting! It got a little chilly but that heated us right up. The one burner stove is butane, not propane like stated, but B brought our little camp stove to make coffee anyways so we were all set. Bring everything you need to go camping and this place will be an absolute dream. I can't wait to go back! Check out more of my pictures. #Kentuckyhotwine

Stayed for two nights but the first night there was a tornado watch and we decided to play it safe and got a hotel nearby. Came back the second night for a beautiful stay. The pond is right next to the shack which makes it a good place to go fishing! The host was kind and accommodating.

Pictures and listing didn’t show what this place actually is. It looks to be in the middle of the woods but it’s on the very edge of the of the woods and you can see the owners house and a bunch of other houses and you can hear the main busy road because it isn’t very far. Was very disappointed. We went to the first cabin which is not the one in the air and it had gaping holes around the door and there was 2 hornets in it and had a direct view to the owners house threw the back window. So we asked to stay in the other one which was a lot better but it still sucked. So if you want privacy and no road noise and not being able to be seen from the road do not get this place.

Not secluded at all no window coverings and the owners house is very well in sight and it also says park at site which they don’t really want you to the Neighbor’s kids rode four wheelers all night and it was not peaceful at all Not to mention that the first cabin which they were nice enough to let us stay in the second cabin, but the first cabin had bees in it

The Shack was gorgeous! I stayed there for for the lunar eclipse with my dog. The big windows made it so you can stargaze while cozy in the cabin. Wonderful space, will have to bring fishing poles next time!

Was very nice and peaceful! Only suggestion id make is maybe some optional curtains for the windows would be nice. If im being picky. Also little camp stove is butane, not propane like stated. But not a big deal. 100% recommend!

Nice property. Great deck on the pond and the cabin itself was bigger than I thought. Not really isolated nor secluded - there are houses less than a half mile with a direct sight line.

We booed both this, and the hideaway. We cooked with a Dutch oven, then it rained and we were able to go inside the shack, and all 4 of us able to sit and have dinner. It was nice, we usually tent camp, so it was good for a change.

This tiny cabin was INCREDIBLE! It was perfect for my son & I to get some off grid one-on-one time. A short drive to Lake Cowdan beach and we had the entire lake all to ourselves through sunset - it was a such a magical experience topped off with great blue herons, deer, and grasshopper sightings!

I would say the photos are exactly what you get! To the owners, I would suggest some solar powered lights for outside, and to mow some of the field to get to the cabin. It’s small, but you don’t need anything more than that! We couldn’t find the outhouse until leaving the next morning as it wasn’t marked! Pretty good value as it’s so nice to have a bed when you camp!

We enjoyed our relaxing getaway in the country. It's the perfect spot to throw discs and do some fishing. My boyfriend caught 9 bluegill and a bass! What a fun weekend. We highly recommend!!

The land was beautiful! It had a pond and a “shack” that was more like a cozy treehouse! My daughters loved being able to fish and caught a total of 9 large fish! We absolutely loved it! It’s also right by Cowan lake which is a plus! 10/10 would recommend!

Super cute spot-totally private. Great spot to bring your paddle board or Kayaks just 1/2 a mile down the road to Cowan lake. We could hear the Kings Island fireworks and the Equestrian World announcements. Most of the time just enjoyed the birds and fishing! We were greeted by a heron on the pond and really appreciated the homemade bug spray didn’t get one bite! Pups loved this spot as much as we did.

Lovely little spot with easy access from the Highway, but feels remote and private. The shack is comfortable and sparse, just what I was looking for. I had dinner by the pond and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

We loved The Shack! What a private and adorable tree house. We fished, swam and kayaked in the lake nearby. We also hiked a trail right on the water just down the road. I wouldn’t count on catching fish in the pond on the property but overall our stay was 10/10. Would love to return in the fall!
