1 night at Quiet Creek Valley

We loved camping on Martha and her husband’s land. They greeted us upon arrival and her husband showed us back to our site, which was perfect! He also made sure we had enough firewood. Our girls (4&6) and our German Shepherd had a BLAST! There was a perfect spot to pitch our tent and set up our solo stove. We brought a pop up tent for shade as other reviews said the site is pure sun, so we were prepared for that and it really is a good idea to bring something for shade. The site is right on the creek which we all loved. If you venture down the creek far enough each way, you will come across some deeper spots that are good for swimming so bring life jackets or floaties for small kiddos. We brought one tube and could float nicely in some areas. There’s so many little streams and flowing little “waterfall” areas that our girls loved playing in. Our dog Nash loved being able to run free and explore the fields and water. As other reviews have mentioned, there is a train close by and the road is fairly close but we were having so much fun and were so tired once we went to bed, that we barely even noticed the noise. We felt very safe here which is big for me with our small girls. We would 10/10 recommend and we plan on coming back! Thanks Martha & Dave!

We tent camped on this beautiful creekside, viking-themed respite and were quite comfortable even within rain and heat. There are plenty of trees for shade and dipping our feet in the creek to cool off was a delight. David, our host, was warm, welcoming, gracious and friendly. We stayed there while visiting Serpent Mound which is very close-by. We cannot wait to return. We truly felt so refreshed. There's something magical about hearing that creek at night.

What a beautiful farm to camp at! My 8 year old daughter and I had such a lovely time in the A Frame exploring the wildlife trails, hanging out with the koi fish, the chickens and Aimee! Everything is so well thought out and obviously a lot of care has gone into this property, it’s absolutely magical, we can’t wait to return!

This was my first ever weekend at a Hipcamp spot and it went great. The owners were helpful and the site was perfect! Definitely recommend it!

We had a great time camping here! Very nice, very private but not too far from town. You can hear the train every now and then but not enough to bother us. We loved swimming and fishing the creek, and we would definitely stay here again!

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a magical place to reconnect with nature but still sleep in a bed. The creekside cabin was very clean and cozy! David and Ivea were incredibly kind and accommodating. The place is clean, artistically beautiful, and honestly just felt magical.

I can’t say enough good about the whole experience!! The hosts were awsome people!! So happy they’ve opened their land up to share with others! It was a beautiful experience all the way around! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay as easy, fun and comfortable as possible in return we added a few amenities to our campsite lol built some steps to get safely down to the creek, which was amazing and a nice fire pit to share We will definitely be going back one of my very favorite places ever. !!

Fantastic asthetics. Beautifully done and maintained. Hosts were very hospitable and knowledgable of the area. The yurt was very comfy and inviting. First time in a yurt and it was a blast. Hosts went above and beyond by providing a battery unit for my CPAP machine.

Weekend Trip to Quiet Creek Valley

We so enjoyed our stay on the river at site 4 on Martha’s land with our 8 year old and 2 dogs. The site is so perfectly secluded. Dave made sure we had plenty of firewood and even provided an inner tube for us to enjoy on the river. We will definitely be back.

We had an excellent time! Even though it rained a lot, the property is gorgeous and our site (site 2) is situated in a great spot with lots of privacy. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Land of Milk And Honey

Checking on was a great song the whole farm and getting some delicious, home made cookies! We set up and enjoyed two days of peace and relaxation. The creek was refreshing, the latrine was convenient, and the animals were a real treat! I highly recommend this spot for a quiet getaway!

Weekend Trip to Carriage House Farm

We had a great visit to Carriage House Farm site #4. There was plenty of room for 10 people in 7 tents. We wandered down to the Lost Bridge Beverage Company each evening for tasty drinks and listening to good local music. There are plenty of activities on site and nearby. On Saturday, we rented kayaks at one of the local liveries, and hiked the trails at Shawnee Lookout Park just down the road.

We have 4 camp sites total, all with with river front access. Each site has its own stone patio, fire ring, and picnic table, with other amenities also available. We welcome both small and large groups and can help you plan events here such as family reunions, bachelor(ette) parties, and corporate retreats. With one canoe livery within two miles of us (Little Miami Canoe), you can drop your canoe or kayak in upstream and make your campsite a pit stop before getting picked up downstream by their shuttles. You can also rent a tube from us and go up and down our property or hang out on your tube anchored by the beach. We can also shuttle you upstream on Saturdays and Sundays. You can hike on our property to get scenic views of the Little Miami River Valley or spend time exploring Halls Creek (just down the street), the Fort Ancient Mounds, and others. We know other special local spots we can let you in on, too. We are just a 1/2 mile from the Little Miami Bike Trail and close to Caesar's Creek, Cowan Lake, YMCA's Camp Kearn, and Camp Joy. Plain Folk Music Cafe, Fresh to Morrow, Valley Vineyards, and Little River Cafe, are also short drives if you want to grab a bite to eat and vibe on some cool, local hangouts. Magical A- Frame In The Woods

Down a private drive, tucked back in the woods, this A frame sits on 3 acres. In the warmer months, the home is far more secluded. In the winter months, neighbors homes are visible through the brush, but we just planted 28 7ft trees to help with this. The property features 2 acres of fenced in property, which is perfect for all size dogs. Hot tub and sauna on large wrap around deck, plus two propane heaters. Top floor features main king size bedroom with large deck. 2 couches and one giant bean bag chair, plus 2 TVs with PS5. 2 king size bedrooms on the main level. All 3 king bedrooms feature black out curtains. A queen "bedroom" in the downstairs next to the bar, pool table, and full gym. Aerial silks on top floor and main level. Two hammocks-- one by the grill and the other tucked in the woods. They are the wonderful cocoon type that you can easily fall asleep in. Beautiful trails weave through the fenced in property. Giant firepit area with plenty of space to pitch tents if some of the group would like to enjoy being outside. Bulb lights spaced around the property. Lots of wildlife that comes to visit, including multiple generations of deer who have been having and raising their young on our property for years. (There is NO hunting on our property) Property backs up to 50 acres of designated Green Space with a small creek that runs through it.

Todd’s Fork Adventures

This property was the original location of Todd’s Fork Bluegrass Festivals back in the 70’s and is directly on Todd’s Fork with 1/2 mile of River frontage. We reside within the Village of Morrow, walking distance to restaurants and stores. The little Miami Bike Trail is approximately 1/4 mile from our entrance. This property is tucked away and you wouldn’t even know you’re close to town once you’re on site. Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.

The Viking Longhall

The Viking longhall has been 9 years in the making by a group of semi serious Viking enthusiasts: the result is a 60 foot long building that has 18, 8,x4' sleeping berths. Set apart from the main open area it also boasts 2 meeting rooms and a kitchen. The campsite is a very peaceful place. Some go as far as to say a healing place! We are proud of what we have achieved and now want people to come out and enjoy it also. The field is close enough to the Appalachian highway (state route 32) for convenience, but far enough not to be bothered by it. The area is steeped in Native American culture. In fact, the world famous Serpent Mound is but 8 miles away, with many other Adena culture sites within easy driving distance. It's also in the heart of the Amish community. The area is known for its natural beauty with many hiking trails and canoeing opportunities. The area is awash in beauty and history from the ancient mound culture to the amish culture. The area has many hiking trails some of which are part of the buckeye trail and range in length from an easy 1 mile loop to rugged hikes of many miles. If this is the case, we do have the gravel barn driveway that can accommodate your stay. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. Plenty of room for tow vehicle at your camp site. Pet policy: Dogs / pets are certainly welcome subject to the following: No destructive behaviors. (Digging, chewing, etc) No aggressive behaviors. (Toward anyone at any time) Please consider that other guests may be present. As of 5/1/24, a new overflow RV spot has been added with 30A electrical. If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, this is only if it is too wet to access the creek side camp spots. Generally we will be able to help you back in, but at times we may be away and suggest a helper in guiding you into the barn drive. Note, the barn driveway is not a pull through site.

Learn more about this land: Come relax atop the Appalachian foothills of southern Ohio. Enveloped in the heart of Tranquility Wilderness Area, our 11 acres has a mix of native pawpaw, peach, pear, and persimmon trees, deciduous forest, cedar woods, wild meadows, a small swimming pond, and a large, accessible field for ample flat for tents and room to play. Trails through the woods are being worked on, and facilities expanded as the seasons pass. Mellow nature’s soundtrack of birds, crickets, and frogs and enjoy an incredibly clear view of the night sky. Hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, hunting, swimming, and more are available at several state parks and historical sites like within 10-30 minutes of the farm. Amish country is likewise near at hand with several bakeries, markets, furniture shops, and greenhouses. Our primitive sites are spaced for privacy, with a gravel parking area near the cottage and additional field parking is available near the road on the opposite site of the main house. While most sites are walk-in only, the upper field sites may be able to be parked near and the Lower Meadow, Boneyard, and Oak Grove may be able to be driven to, as weather and site conditions permit.
