Welcome to Dirk and Lori's Riverside Acres This is our home — our pride and joy — and we are so excited to share it with you. We've opened our backyard to give you an authentic, primitive, natural outdoor camping experience right along the river. In return, we ask that you respect our land, our river, and our family. We welcome you to enjoy the tranquility of our peaceful, wooded 5-acre retreat along the Little Miami State and National Scenic River. Located in Warren County, “Ohio’s largest playground,” just 3 miles upriver from the quaint river town of Morrow, Ohio, and 2 minutes from the Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail. We offer secluded natural primitive camping, the way nature intended it to be. Fall asleep to the sounds of river rapids and hooting owls, then wake up refreshed and rejuvenated under century-old sycamore trees. Our spacious campsites give you access to your private river frontage and our 5 acres of wooded trails for campers to explore. Our property offers the perfect blend of tranquil waterside camping and forest adventure, while maintaining easy access to local amenities. Our Camping Mission: is to connect our guests with the river and nature in a respectful, sustainable way. “Enjoy the wildlife, don’t become it.” We’re not a party destination, but rather a sanctuary for nature and for campers who appreciate the quiet beauty of a riverside camping experience. What We Offer - Four primitive camping sites on the banks of the Little Miami River and coming soon 2 primitive camping cabins - 5 of our 11 acres of peaceful woods with walking trails to explore - Each site accommodates up 6-8 guests, 2 leashed dogs, and 3 vehicles - Portapotty facilities on-site - Quiet, generator-free environment for authentic outdoor experiences - Prime location for fishing, tubing, swimming, and river activities - Just minutes from Lebanon and Morrow

Our premier riverside site with one of the best views on the property, looking upriver at the top of the rapids. About 100 feet of river frontage with a gravel beach, easy water access, and a small swim hole great for kids. Sandy, level area for several large tents, plenty of trees for hammocks, and good shade throughout the day. You’ll hear the sound of the rapids and enjoy a quiet, private spot right on the river. And keep an eye out for the Bald Eagles who rule the river!

A peaceful, shaded riverside site with level sandy ground and room for 3–4 tents. Approximately 90 feet of river frontage with easy access to shallow riffles. Riverside Maple trees provide shade with a sunny open space, enjoy a peaceful view of the Little Miami from your campfire. On sunny days relax in the rapids and watch the kids enjoy the easy flow of the rapids in front….Keep an eye out— it’s likely you will hear the call of our resident hawk overhead.

Herons Haven (formerly site 39)

A favorite riverside site right next to the rapids, where you can hear the water flowing all day. About 60 feet of river frontage with easy access to the water. Level ground for a tent, Sycamore trees for shade and a few hammocks, and a natural border along the river. A perfect spot to relax and watch canoes and tubers float by. And Perhaps a Blue Heron fishing the shallows.

Kingfishers Camp (formerly site 36)

A nice riverside site next to the preserve, with about 60 feet of river frontage and a mix of sun and shade. Level areas with space for 3–4 tents and easy access to the water. Find a spot for fishing and relaxing in the shallow riffles and gravel beaches. Fall asleep to the calming sound of the rapids nearby. Watch the kids play in the river and keep an eye out for Kingfishers chattering along the shoreline.
