This place is beautiful and right on the river. There were so many fireflies. We saw rat snakes, a bald eagle, tiny toads and otters. The trees had fresh ripe mulberries. Fresh water from a spicket with no chemicals. Definitely a gem.

This place overall has good reviews and I do not doubt them…this review reflects my personal experience. The customer service and professionalism was extremely lacking. The weather drastically changed the morning of our weekend stay and severe weather was forecasted and occurred. I messaged in the morning and asked if they would allow us to change dates (not cancel). We had 6 total guests, 4 young girls who would be coming. I was met with one word answers and told to ask Hip because they had 48 hour cancellation policy. Then was told these sites book up weeks in advance as an excuse. When I countered mentioning that the site still showed only two sites (including mine) were booked and asked if they could please take my request seriously, I was told “sh*t happens” and told of how they recently had a death in the family.
Needless to say, no camping, the river was up because of the thunderstorms and dam water released and I was out my money with no option to reschedule.
Bummer. Hope this is just a one off.

Great campsite, easy access to water, very large picnic table(appreciated) and large enough flat spot for a 10' x 14' tent. Spot right on the river was really great

Site #4 was perfect for us - we had plenty of room to set up our tent, and play. The site was fairly level and clean. We had an awesome view of the river and lived all of the trees.

If you love nature DL's land is the place. Site 4 is huge. Beautiful view of the river, flat places for tent. DL and his family are very responsive and kind. Checked in on us a couple times during our stay. Nature sounds.. abound. Sites are well maintained and driving directions on point.

DL's site was easy to get to, plenty of parking, and well kept. We had a group of nine and easily fit everyone on a single site and comfortably around the bricked fire pit! The picnic table was a big win too, we didn't have to bring a folding table for food or stoves. I know our group loved the site and look forward to coming back again!

Great site! Perfect if you’re biking off the trail or driving. Very quiet with water to fall asleep to. Would be awesome to bring kayak/conoe. Saw a bald eagle in the morning.

Beautiful, clean, spacious and peaceful sites! DL was super nice and responsive leading up to the trip and while we were there. Kids had a great time playing at the river and using canoes! We will definitely be back!

This was great place for family tent camping. The onsite portapotty was very clean and convenient. All spots situated in a quiet spot by the river. Spot #4 offers the best privacy option though. But all spots seemed great.
Great place for playing in the water and skipping rocks.
There was the occasional howl of coyotes and other forest nighttime creatures, but it was disruptive to sleep. My kids loved being able to fall asleep looking up at the stars while hearing the sound of running water from the river next to us. We went during the fall and the tree color changes were really pretty.
Would recommend for a weekend getaway and would happily return here again.

DL’s land is a great spot for tent camping (and probably hammock camping too!). We came down for the OH Renaissance Festival and camped through the weekend. The site we booked was more than spacious enough for all 3 of us to set up our different shelters and park 2 cars, and the sound of the river was so pleasant to sleep to! We brought a couple of gallon jugs of distilled water for the weekend and that ended up being more than enough. Hoping to be back in the future (maybe for the festival next year!)

We love tent camping at Riverside Adventures! Clean, well maintained sites that are quiet and beautiful! The kids can play in the river (shallow and safe!) while you chill on the banks. We’ll be returning for sure!

Beautiful campsite. Lots of shade and lots of room for tents. We had 5 adults 3 kids and 2 dogs and it was more than enough room. The river being right off the campsite made it convenient for the kids to play as we watched from above. At night it was very peaceful and we didn’t hear any other campsites. We hardly even noticed there was other people there. I will definitely be back!

My friends and I camped on DL’s land for a bday celebration/overdue friend “reunion” and had such a good time! The host was friendly and greeted us upon arrival, giving us the scoop on all kinds of wildlife we were likely to see (eagles, osprey, owls, river otters?!, dragonflies at dusk, etc) and spots to check out (a tire/rope swing we didn’t have time to go check out, an award-winning ice cream shop nearby, etc). We stayed at the Cove which was perfect for us size-wise and for more privacy. As someone who’s super allergic to poison ivy, I appreciated that there either wasn’t much naturally growing at the site, or that they’d taken care to remove it for campers. We’d camped at another place on the Little Miami (not a HipCamp site) the weekend prior that was covered in it— so it was nice not to have to dodge that getting down to the river, at least not from our access point. Lovely river-hangs during the day, beautiful moonlight and stars at night— we when saw an owl (?) fly overhead in the night! Just a really unique and beautiful place overall. I did find it hard to get ahold of the host in the days leading up to our trip via the app, and wish I’d seen that once you’ve booked there is a cell # listed to text or call him— so fyi that may be an easier route to reach him with any questions once you’ve booked?

The campsite was immaculate when we arrived. Relaxing with nothing but the river sounds close by was amazing. Another family camped in the spot right next to ours and though we were initially disgruntled about it, the separation between campsites kept both families privacy well apart. It was all around an amazing experience!

It is a great location unfortunately our experience was not great. We rent tubes and they were not at our campsite and the host was not responsive to our messages. His notes said he would be gone the 4-6th of August and we were there on the third. I messaged multiple times and finally heard back that we would get a refund. We are now two weeks from our trip and no refund has been given. There was also never an apology that we did not get what we rented. It is unfortunate that this was our first HipCamp experience. I hope others are better.

This site was beautiful. Being next to the river and hearing the water was so relaxing. The site was very spacious. We had friends in the site next to us and having the ability to go between sites but still have privacy was amazing!!! I will definitely be coming back!!!! Having a clean bathroom to use is definitely an added bonus. The owner came and checked on us when we got there and made sure we knew how to get in touch with him in the event we needed to.
