Efforts paid off and the farm and market opened in June 2017 with a beautiful crop of blueberries and many multi-generational customers coming back with their children. The best outcome has been the opportunity to share growing food with children and helping them learn a love for outdoors and farming. HORSES WELCOME! Why not run your horse on the beach, then come to our campsites to relax for the rest of your day. There is a fenced pasture positioned next to the sites so you can see your faithful friend enjoying some grass or hay. We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom. It can easily sleep six people. If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area. The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in. This is a sanctuary for our animals. We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies). By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals. We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks. There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores. If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles. We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up. We believe this is Heaven on earth and would love to share it will you. So please come, stay at our farm and relax. We are here year round.

Camp in a backyard in a quiet area with a barn and horses nearby. Site 1 has water hookup and a 30 amp and 110 outlet available. Site 2 has water access and a 110 outlet available. Site 3 is for tent camping only and is more secluded. It does have water access available. These sites are a great spot to watch the sunset or watch the stars at night. These all are self contained camping spots. I do have two very friendly dogs that will most likely come say hi to you. Dewey Beer is 1 mile away in Harbeson. Lewes beach is only about 10 minutes away and Rehoboth beach is about 20 minutes away. Sports at the beach is only 5 miles away. Tanger outlets is 8 miles away. Delaware Turf sports complex is 24 miles. There are many great restaurants and shopping nearby. Feel free to ask for recommendations!

Great place to get away and camp. Really quiet, plenty of open space and tree line to camp on. Nice trails to walk the dog or take the Jeep through. Plenty of wood to burn, but best you bring something to cut it up. This was perfect for me because I was camping in a hot tent. They will cut and deliver wood for a price. The bath house was a short walk away with clean showers and conditioned. The Host and Helper were really nice and made sure I had what I needed. I'll definitely be back for another stay.

We absolutely love camping here. We just stayed for our third time. What a lovely horse farm and it's so nice to be able to walk our dog off leash. The farm dogs are very friendly and love to come over and be petted and hang out for a spell. Best part of this site for us is the fact that it's less than 8 mi from our house so it's a convenient getaway.

The property at Strawberry Crossroads is beautiful! I’m just sorry I didn’t get to spend more leisure time there, as I had to work in town every day. It is only 17 miles from the beach resort town of Ocean City, yet you feel far removed from the crowds etc…Our host TJ was super hospitable, yet left you to your privacy. He would even deliver firewood, if needed! I will definitely stay again & also recommend to others!

No need to search to find wilds horses!!!
Very unique place, nice short walk in the dunes. Wild horses are everywhere when you get on the Island. Great place if you have a permit for going on the shore with your 4x4

Assateague is a great place to camp and experience wildlife. I saw another reviewer say theyve never had an issue petting the wild horses. This is extremely dangerous and stupid. Tourists get injured, fined, and even jailed for messing with these horses every year. Please enjoy the area and leave wildlife alone no matter where you are!

bring bug spray and water. Water is heavy. canoe in and walk about 1 mile to the Little Levels campsite. Otherwise, walk the 4.5 miles in soft sand.

If you want to camp on beach, make sure your car can handle the deep sand! They say don't pet the wild horses, but I've never had a horse freak out if I tried to pet them!

This campground takes reservations six months in advance, and the sites sell out FAST! If you even have an inkling that you might want to camp here, mark your calendar and plan ahead. TIP: The bay side camping sites are mosquito havens. Try to stay on the beach side. There are still mosquitoes, but they are less of a problem if the wind is blowing in from the ocean.

Without a doubt one of the my places to camp. Unlike other "beach camping" on the west coast, here you are actually on the beach. Aside from the famous ponies, cute little bunnies & mini deer run thru the campsites at dusk. Nice bike riding trails & marsh hikes. Bring shade, sand stakes, strong coolers & keep your distance from the ponies. They will bite & kick. Go in the fall to avoid the bugs.
